Good to see you, Natalie and hear about your reading. I also love picture books, but have no experience with Swedish ones. Would love to see more of them. Happy reading.
Ohhh I wanted to read Patti Smith so much, nice to hear your review. I have read the first two books in the Seasons series Autumn and Winter, and collected the pretty UK editions. Maybe I should continue reading them instead of worrying that they'll be irrelevant soon 🙈Oh hearing you speak the title of Vilse in Swedish makes me missing learning Norwegian so much. This video is such a reminder of my life in 360 degrees 😂
Twins! 👯♀️ I actually found it so interesting to read the seasonal quartet because time has passed since they’ve been published - they’re interesting as ”historical documents” but I’ve also found they hit differently with hindsight? Since a lot of the issues particularly described in Autumn still seems to reveberate in the world/Europe.
One of my favourite biographies is The Invention of Nature by Andrea Wulf about Alexander von Humboldt. Can't wait to re-read Spring with you and Ollie. Curious to find out how I'll experience it the second time round, after my disappointment with the re-read of Winter, which still stays my least favourite of the quartet.
Great picks😊
looking forward to your Tolkien review!

Thank you, Alba! I am really enjoying my picture book exploring and am planning to visit my local library soon to discover more. 😍

Ah, I need to pick that one up - can’t imagine I wouldn’t love it.
Me too! I’m glad to have the excuse to finally get to these books.
I didn’t know Tolkien was a linguist!
