I was waiting for this video. I am surprised by the decision not to bring arias, I feel that it can help in some plays.
What would arias really do though ?

Such a cool deck. Lord is such a slept on card. Agreed on compulse but yeah theres not a lot of other cards except for like Torrential Tribute which unfortunately isnt as good as it used to be as well
Usually when I try to resolve the Equation Cannon, I forget to add Kurt Angle to the mix, so my chance of winning drastically goes down.

man singing the song why trap decks should actualy be really strong in modern yugioh. if just we would get more good trap cards than something from literally 20 years ago. that you can do "full combo" going second and your opponent cannot interact with you doing so unless we start to print more cards like s:p really should make this stronger than it is

Listen recently I've been getting weird and wild with it on Master Duel with Labrynth... I have been running it at 48 and that's taken up by Reasoning, Grass, Back Jack and Rollback. Reasoning baits Ash for Big Welcome next turn, or SS a Hand Trap or Engine. Big Welcome gets to bring out Lady or Arianna to hand rip or search Lovely depending on opening hands. If I don't have reasoning I don't care I set 5 anyways. Oh and I really like Dinomiscus in this deck for sending Garnet Rollback and removal.

Hey Josh idk if you considered it or not but did you try Lilith, Lady of Lamat for trap lab, it's basically Arianna but it dodges all the hand traps (it tributes it self on quick effect for cost to set any 3 of trap card) but conflicts for the normal.

Josh talked about the Extra Deck monsters not wanting to be light/darks, but how would they ever hit the gy as he's not playing i.e Ultimate Slayer. Same goes for the fact that he won't be able to resolve the gy eff of Fossil Warrior or is he specifically talking about his Opponent somehow extradeck looping him.
It's exactly that. Dogmatika wasn't technically a consideration, but if a 'free' slot can give you a 5% winrate against a 0.5% matchup, you take it instead of a card that goes 0% for 100% of matchups.
Trade offer : You can play a budget deck to top an event, but you have to be a rocket scientist in order to play it.
Why did you decide against the dogmatika punishment? It looked pretty crazy with garura and n'tess in that one MD worlds game. Or one or the other paleozoic, wouldnt they have fit to your deck?
Curious on the decision to not play Arias. Did you feel the difference between going 2nd, setting the traps, and passing back and going 2nd but using Arias to cannon or equation them during their turn to not be consequential? Maybe the Compulses can just be Ariases?
I think Arias is way too neggy. It's -2 for using one trap, which in this format many decks can push through even if used optimally just because of the crazy extension available. I feel like the idea here is "let them cook" and out advantage eventually, which arias doesn't really help with

2:20 Hangon, ima open TCGplayer to factcheck this as you go through, I'll be back with an edit. (Also it is possible that a lot of these cards changed in value since you picked them up so it might not be your fault)
Edit: Price breakdown according to TCGplayer. Prices are in USD and may fluctuate depending on market ect so I'm posting kinda an "average" here. Also your friendly local card shop may or may not use the same kinda price breakdown for their cards, but if anything a loooot of these cards will likely be cheaper because you might find them in a bin of common cards.)
Main Deck: ~ 88.80 USD (ish, with some variance, a lot of these traps are staples, depending on where you get them they might be more or less and obvs if you're a baller you could double this price to pick up QCR Ladys who are 10x more expensive than the standard rarity)
Extra Deck: I'm not calculating this, you could play anything but the Runic Fusions are probably required and they're not that pricy seemingly. You could get 1 of each for approx $10.
Side Deck: ~166.5 (but 150 of that approx depending on the time that you look it up is the Mulcharmys.) Even with that, an 8-3 swiss deck for ~300ish (probably less tbh but you could put whatever you want in the extra deck), and for less than $150 or realistically lower since you may already have many of the common staples like Duality Solemn Lava Golem or D-Barrier. Like, *I* could build this deck and the only thing I would need to buy is the Labrynth Cards, the Sphere Modes and Heavenlys, and I think the evenly matcheds because I haven't played for a long time and I have zero.

Replace 1 sphere mode with either ultimate slayer or a stall card like scapegoat. You could also just cut 1 and not replace it but my OCD doesn't like that.

Why does gy effs and light dark for bystials matter if cannon banishes ur extra deck cards, not sends them in gy

Yeah admittedly the math isn't that hard. The only hard part is getting the right number for it to resolve. People made it sound a lot more complicated than it actually is. Pretty smart playing a deck that works both against the top deck and the anti meta (tenpai) pretty easily
