Gloucester north now have BX17 CYS as wholetime pump but being replaced sbortly to go to driver training as got a lot of miles on it, to be replaced by an older pump.

Great video! Just for your description however, you’ve put the appliance with reg number WX13 AYJ as Gloucester North. But it’s actually Cheltenham west.
Source: I’m based at that station! 😂

    Great Catch!
Question, how do know what kind of call they have? Because I'll travel in a few weeks to U.K. to film fire brigade as well and I am curious how the callout signs works. Do you have a fire pager or is there a website to see the callouts like there is here in The Netherlands?
Hope to hear from you :)

Hello mate, most of the time in the UK it's just down to luck. Best way is to ask the FF what the job is when they're turning out. Wish we had that website over here

Are the pumps going backwards and forwards to replenish their first aid tanks ? Does Gloucestershire only have 1 bowser ?

Area is fairly rural where this fire is so probably poor sources of water, Gloucester only has one water carrier as seen. Based at Cheltenham East.

Another FRS that doesn't appear to apply station names to their appliances. I wonder what the reasoning is?

They can move appliances around more easily . Often new appliances go to the busiest station ( normally wholetime ) and after the mileage increases they get sent to quieter stations and are replaced by newer appliances . Having to paint over or repaint with the new station name is time , effort and cost . Often the call sign is on a small board that can be changed if a reserve pump is needed .

They used to have station names on the front doors but this stopped around 2015/16 if I remember right. Shame as they had more character.
