This man will likely never get the recognition he deserves. One of the greatest musicians of our generation. Hopefully its enough for him to know he touched people deeply, which has a value no amount of celebrity can achieve.
Thank you, Simon Posford. Your trips have marked stages of my life. Started listening at age 13 and now at 33 I am still learning with your music. Peace, joy and inspiration for you, always!
As a orphan who has seen a lot of his own friends die from drug use/gang violence, your music speaks to me. The intricacies and the thought behind every single note is so meticulous, Simon is a creative genius. Psychedelics/thc has improved and saved my life so much, and your music is so profound in my life. Thank you for providing me such superb music to listen to while tripping, your music is truly shamanic in nature, any newcomer should look to Simons music. From one psychedelic being to another, here are some of my personal favorite artists in that vein, maybe you'll fall in love with some of them too: - Animal Collective (and their solo works, especially Avey Tare and Deakin; being a fan of these guys is very rewarding as they are prolific and have tons and tons of "hidden" releases, concert bootlegs, artsy images, etc.; they're a bit freaky and weird, but once you get it, you'll fall in love) - MGMT (particularly their 2nd album onward to today, especially their last few projects) - Mid-Air Thief (a Korean psychedelic artist with a beautifully unique and lively style - best album, IMO, out of two so far is Crumbling; also see his earlier couple of EPs under the name Hyoo, and for more recent experimental stuff check out his 3rd project Bird's Eye Batang) - Dan Deacon (Mystic Familiar is godly, America and Gliss Riffer are great, Bromst is good too, just not as well produced) - Max Cooper (always, ALWAYS has the cream of the crop of trippy and textured music videos - IMO his best work starts at the album Emergence; his music is best described as deep, complex, unusually textured, introspective, and fascinating) - Oneohtrix Point Never (specifically the album Magic Oneohtrix Point Never - I advise against tripping to the videos as they're unusually dark considering the music, and you won't need a video to trip out to it anyway, I assure you) - Culprate (New addition I discovered since typing all this out) - Possibly the best psychedelic electronic music I've ever heard. Particularly the albums Colours, Deliverance (this one especially, if I had to pick one electronic album that expresses the human experience the best to lock in a vault or show to aliens, this would be it), and the one with non-english lettering that apparently means Number Four. Others is pretty good too. And just a few more names for ya: Cosmic Trigger, Tipper, Klaada, and The Flying Mars (all Psybient like Shpongle so you'll probably feel right at home with them).

As IT stands neither here nor..... one might argue that the act of standing in and of itself is a form of "there" as "there" is a relative concept when dealing with spatial relation. Only once we assemble the metric can we begin to quantify the heretofore, the "there" and the hereafter. What is important to remember is that if we ever find ourselves achieving "there", it will only be a farce, for we will only be able to achieve a state of "there" while simultaneously participating in a state of Flux & Contemplation.

I feel this way about Animal Collective too. So many incredible artists around. Technological advances have lowered the bar for entry and also made the possibilities of sound even more limitless than they were before. What a time to be alive. I think Terence McKenna was right about the increase in novelty.
No es la musica que mas escucho, pero transmite la fantasía de lo inesperable, solitarios, recorrer las calles en el misterio de la noche, imaginar que es mágica... y ver que es casi como una forma de la esperanza. Melancolía y fantasía.
I can at least say with some degree of confidence that those sounds start from a synthesizer, with a very fast amplitude envelope, with no attack, fast decay, no sustain, and little to no release time, probably with some filter modulation and high resonance, definitely with pitch modulation akin to the amplitude envelope I described, likely either sequenced to sound like it's repeating, or taken as a sample and duplicated, also likely with some effects for sure. It seems like it might have some additive EQ on it to enhance certain frequencies after the filter resonance stage too.

No words could describe.... woooow. thank you. thank you. thank you
I feel this way about Animal Collective too. So many incredible artists around. Technological advances have lowered the bar for entry and also made the possibilities of sound even more limitless than they were before. What a time to be alive. I think Terence McKenna was right about the increase in novelty.
Really great sound I love it, thank you Simon !
Beautiful album
Could not be more thrilled! Thank you x
@38.00 Hit me with your rhythm stick :)
I thought I could hear it at the beginning too 👍
No es la musica que mas escucho, pero transmite la fantasía de lo inesperable, solitarios, recorrer las calles en el misterio de la noche, imaginar que es mágica... y ver que es casi como una forma de la esperanza. Melancolía y fantasía.
AS THE EGO STOPS SCREAMING MADNESS .....tonal sounds, inside the outer spaces, wilst the self discovers ID
Master piece!!!!
So refreshing!!!
Thanks mate
Nice one Si. When are we hanging on the beach again?
A very very beatiful psychedelic simphony
I see what you did there
Nice one Simon!
Thank you! I would love to know how Simon does those "chirping crickets" sounds... flanged chopped up delays?
I can at least say with some degree of confidence that those sounds start from a synthesizer, with a very fast amplitude envelope, with no attack, fast decay, no sustain, and little to no release time, probably with some filter modulation and high resonance, definitely with pitch modulation akin to the amplitude envelope I described, likely either sequenced to sound like it's repeating, or taken as a sample and duplicated, also likely with some effects for sure. It seems like it might have some additive EQ on it to enhance certain frequencies after the filter resonance stage too.
This is magical!
Awesome
Love this. Is it a reference to David Sylvian’s ‘Flux and Mutability’? First few tracks certainly have a similar feel.
lovely
Good music for meditation
