0:29. BIW, apron. Bottom right. Cables draped out of the electrical vault up against the wall.
0:41. BIW, roof. Top centre. Scaffold with a new flue in the middle. Top right. Scaffold and some lengths of flue stacked on the roof.
0:47. BIW, apron. 6 mobile chiller units, yet to be connected.
0:56. BIW, apron. Trailer with a red Model Y BIW, and a Cybertruck.
1:04. Southend, easement. Bottom left. New structure. Speculating this a structure for a bridge crane to unload coils of metal etc.
Footings/pilecaps already have concrete placed in the forms.
Column forms/shutters to the left.
1:12. Southend, inside. Yellow plastic laid. Unexpected. Would be the first time the floor slab has preceded the structure on this project. Piddler sized outbuildings excepted.
1:29. Southend, inside. Centre passage/tunnel, roof complete.
Roof. Parapet wall backing panels in place. No doubt a glazed facade is next.
1:33. Southend, inside. West passage/tunnel. Formwork for the roof and rebar visible.
1:52. GA, apron. Bottom right. Section of wall cut out for a door opening has been removed since Brad flew over earlier.
GA, roof. To the right of the crane boom. 2 large rectangular cowls have been installed.
2:30. Battery, apron. Bottom right. Red pump and a couple of hose/pipe runs in through a pedestrian door. Something being pressurized.
3:25. Tesla Road, north. Pair of large parallel ductbanks. From nowhere to nowhere much else.
3:33. BESS. Contractor trailers gone. Only a shipping container and the BESS switchyard PTs replaced back in January.
3:48. Temporary Switchyard site. New ductbanks as far as the eye can see.
4:35. Old EOL staging yard. But for the entrance tent, all the other temporary structures have been removed.
4:52. Parking Garage site. Pair of large stormwater drains presumably heading towards the sedimentation pond outfall channel.
5:10. East contractors yards. Bottom. Open sided building salvaged from Ye Olde Bagging Plant has some cylindrical items stacked inside.
5:48. Crash Test Track. Crash wall has been shifted to the left of the cable channel.
6:16. Cathode, west. Apron. Formed up for a sliver of pavement, or a curb perhaps.
6:24. Cathode, west. Dismantling the rubbish chute scaffold.
6:28. Cathode. Tank Farm. New pipework up the top of the 4 stainless steel tanks.
6:44. Die Shop, south. Ramp paving complete.
7:33. Northend. Easement. Bottom right. Valve visible on the pipeline.
9:29. Westside. Tunnel Project. MPV with a load of lining segments going the wrong way.
10:32. Southend, inside. Building the slab edgeboards/formwork on the yellow plastic.
11:33. New EOL. Northwest parking. Asphalt paving laid. Massive area, configured differently to the transport yard. I wonder the purpose.
12:16. Westside. Tunnel Project. Mobile crane. Possibly to lift the first of the additional back-up decks into place. Att. David Salisbury.
13:18. Southend, inside. Right. Stacks of shuttering for a retaining wall to be built on the strip footing/grade beam.
13:39. GA roof. 2 scaffolds here.
13:43. GA/BIW roof. PV array. Electrical control cabinets marked 7 and 8. 3 and 4 at 13:58. 1 and 2 at 14:04.
14:02. Paint, roof. Roof Pipework Project. Pipes now insulated turn down into Paint.
10:29 Reconnecting power for the east parking lot Superchargers to the main building.
3:25 and 3:48 This appears to be a major new electrical project....
Two new duct-banks with have conduit than the main power duct-banks! They are also running parallel to the existing main power duct-banks. 12 conduits per duct-bank vs 8 conduits per duct-bank in the existing main power duct-banks.
Speculating that both sets of duct-banks @ 3:25 and 3:48 will be connected together.
Also speculating that these new duct-banks may enter the building on the northside of casting where they previously placed 2 vaults, but haven used them yet.
3:25 and 3:48 Continued.... Joe's video 9/11/23 at the 19: 39 timestamp shows the new duct-banks coming out of the mega-vault. They had to temporarily stop because the old substation was in the way.
@@DavidJohnson-tv2nn If you view the site from 3:47 it's difficult to gauge where these ductbanks will run to, or from. The pair closest to Tesla Road on the right needs to cross the existing ductbank to somehow connect to the New Switchyard/Substation at the Mega-Vaults, or anywhere else for that matter.
Might also need to cross the new ductbanks seen at 3:50, unless the plan is to connect into those.
Wouldn't like to even speculate where any of these will enter the Main Building. I see elsewhere you mention additional supply for Battery.

3:47 The new duct-banks can cross over/under the existing duct-banks, more likely under. To think they won't link up with the duct-banks coming out of the mega-vault @ 3:49 would be a mistake in my opinion.
3:50 The likely plan is the duct-banks closest to Tesla road will link up with these.
The question I have is....
Will the duct-banks @ 3:50 split at vaults? With branches going under Tesla road to the north side of casting, as well as south under Tesla road, along the eastside of the easement? We definitely need some time to know that.

I did mention that there two possible reasons for the need for such a huge increase in power to the factory....
Addition power for the section where they make the 4680 batteries, and....
The rumored data center.
In any case, this is all speculation. Time will tell if it is correct.
The number of tunnel wall segments (sets of 6) laid out on the ground near the tunnel gives an indication of how long this tunnel will be. The rate at which they disappear into the tunnel will show the rate they are tunneling. So far it has been extremely slow. I'm watching for the speed to pick up.
Where will the tunnel end? Inside the new addition?
How much longer until it brakes ground on the other side?

@@mattsparks5957in a couple of days they will stop to install all the backup decks still on the surface. This will take at least 2 weeks to install/connect/test/commission. Then they can get into full production. Currently they maintain 15-20 sets of segments (6) fully dressed and prepared on the surface. Prep takes a minimum of 24 hours, so they can’t be expecting higher production than 20 rings per day (30m).
Maybe more after the backup installation.
Expect completion mid-late May.

New EOL & outbound lot is busier than a Gazan bricklayer and GT is only partially through the ramping up of production.
Looks like getting ready for concrete floor on south side.
Quite unexpected. Can't imagine why, unless it has something to do with the tunneling project. First time the floor slabs have been constructed before the steel frame has been erected.
@@DessieDoolan I also think it is because of tunneling. I think that is the place where boring machine will come out and they're preparing site to disassemble it
@@ironicgoose9913 I'm thinking along the lines of we're seeing work that needs to go ahead, after being delayed by the tunnel project.
Other than the substantial base for a crane, the TBM was assembled on bare earth and gravel. I would guess disassembly would be the same.
This slab is huge. Might be beefed up enough to support a crane, but I think we are seeing works that otherwise would have happened deep inside a finished building.
We should know soon enough if the slab extends further south. Joe is flying today (12 April).
12:26- mobile crane at tunnel portal looks too small to lift the backup decks.
Maybe there for the prep work (remove conveyor and support) to allow the decks to be installed with a larger crane. Will see next week. Estimate 2 days before they stop for installation.

It's been a long week waiting for updates, then you and Brad both today! Glad to see everything moving in the right direction. The construction east of the expansion is interesting. Bus stop, perhaps? Also, what's the massive amounts of conduit going in near the temp switchyard?

10:30 looks like a waterproof membrane being laid along the tunnel alignment. No idea why that is.
10:30. Would be in the column bay next south to the tunnel alignment. It's unique. Always put the steelwork up first elsewhere on the site.
I guess there's a chance it's temporary, but that wouldn't explain the plastic.
@@DessieDoolan It may be that this slab is being designed more robustly as it will be adjacent to where the tunnel will surface. Potential for movement/heave/grout leak may cause them to waterproof it and have it act as a single continuous slab.
10:30 Waterproof membrane....
Indicates the slab will be permanent. Which seems to be evidence against the tunnel extending that far. Placing a crane on the new slab and lifting the TBM would probably crack the slab, unless it was really thick and heavily reinforced. If the tunnel doesn't come up at an angle, that is, an elevator is used to lower vehicles to the tunnel entrance....
An excavation next to the slab and temporary retaining wall would be required. An elevator would waste the least amount of floor space in the factory.

I'm thinking this is works delayed by the tunnel project that has got to the point that it must now proceed, tunnel or no tunnel. As you say, slab beefed up to handle the emerging TBM and crane to remove it.

Well North of 100 would appear. Should be an interesting Q1 management report coming up absolutely and probably most important ever for Tesla given how truly massive this Enterprise has now become. Long $hmc Honda Motor Corporation strong buy.

is unbearable and is cooking your workers (and guests) cars!
The new parking structure has shade for almost all of the levels.
A/C is standard equipment on cars these days
