There's been countless interviews with Steph and Mr Whoopsie. What about Steve Berry with his new channel, Matty Manning , Tom Drives, Daniel Drives would be good
Ian's channel is such a nice channel, very wholesome with some dry humour thrown in for good measure. Ian is just as nice in person as he is on the 'tube having met him a number of times. Long term subscriber!
It was a video about one of my favourite classics - the Vauxhall 2300S (which Ian wasn’t too complimentary about!) that led me to HubNut. I’ve been a subscriber ever since. High water marks for me so far have been the Lexus LS400 (that was a fine motor), TWC and Foxanne. Keep going Mr HubNut - especially the tinkering!
Ian is a very nice bloke, met him at the Daf museum a couple of years ago. Though I regret his car choice being almost exclusively Citroen and Japanese.
I remember my mate telling me about Hubnut many many years ago and I was like Nah, not a channel for to watch. 2018 i think I had been signed off work and i googled Mark 6 escort Reviews and the Escort Cabrio Ian filmed came up, as a huge ford fan i was a bit disappointed at first with the review outcome, think the next video was a Maestro Van and then I became hooked watching Ian's adventures in New Zealand.. Now in 2024 i am a Mega Nutter in the membership level, I Support the channel and even bought a car from Ian back in July which features on my channel. Ian is a great guy and one of my reasons why i started a TH-cam channel in 2019.
I've been subscribed since forever and his is the only channel I've bought merchandise from. He used to parcel everything up and you'd get a handwritten package which you sometimes saw him deliver to the post office in one of the bangers 🤗 Made it feel personal and you knew he appreciated the few shillings ☺️👍🇮🇪
Very nice chap but I'm so tired of the same old classic car TH-camrs doing the rounds. It's like Hubnut, Furious driving and Idac are the only people that exist on the platform
@@GryphLaneI think you missed the sarcasm. That's Steph's account (IDAC - I drive a classic), all 3 were exhibiting together at the NEC earlier in the month and do a lot of off-screen collaboration. 😊
Liked Hubnut in the beginning, after he grew, and got more commercial, and got his new woman involved, I lost interest. I realise he needs to make a living, and sure hes a nice bloke, I like the nerdy level of rubbish cars, wish him well, but I am no longer a subscriber.
Glad I'm not the only person who feels this way about Hub Nut, nothing against Ian at all, his tinkering and road test used to be great but as soon as "Miss Hub Nut" stuck her claws in the channel with her annoying personality and wobbly camera work, just spoilt it for me especially as Ian said at the start of his relationship with her that he wanted to keep it private 🤷🏻♂️. I too have now unsubscribed
Personally, I think that Ms HubNut is a welcome addition to Ian's channel. She's not afraid to get stuck into the dirty jobs (de-rusting/undersealing) and is quite happy to learn how to work on their fleet.
Hope you're enjoying this chat with Ian from HubNut! Who should we chat to next? Steph? Furious Driving? JayEmm? Comment below!
Definately be good to hear more from Furious, puts a lot into his channel. Met him a couple of times, really nice guy.
Steph please - she puts some great stuff out, especially the recent garage videos.

Two of my favourite channels coming together, thanks for the interview Phil and your continued great content.
Thanks Stevie!

Thanks!
Great chat between two great blokes. 👍 The famous 3 wheel Hubnut demo. DS is on my thumbnail. Who’d have thought that would happen…..
Super channel/s is HubNut. Been a subscriber since 2018. Great to chill out to, including Idriveaclassic and UpNDown channels.
I found Ian about five years ago through Matt Richardson, and thoroughly enjoyed his adventures in Europe in his 2CV. 😁👍
Cheers!
Thoroughly enjoyed hearing two of my favorite automotive journalists share their stories! Great work, as always!
Glad you enjoyed it!
A very enjoyable natter. Thanks folks!
And thank you, Ian, for taking the time to sit down and chat with us!

One of the veteran car TH-camrs
Yep one of them TH-camrs
I was happy to sit in the Podcast area to watch and listen to this. Great stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Always watch Classics World and Hubnut (and idriveaclassic and Furious Driving) all great content - thanks guys! just great!
Thanks Darren!

Love this. Ian is great
A lot of hard work producing videos.

Hope your channel is going well and you are keeping well Davy.
Awesome!

Thanks Terry. We still do package all the merch ourselves.
Yes, same here - still regularly wear my TWC tee shirt!

Eurgh, I agree. Get rid of those three 😉😉
You're not forced to watch them. Personally I really enjoy them all

In their defence they are very hard working, earnest youtubers. Very knowledgeable and put on the best event in the business, twice a year!!
