    He's making a low call that means he's announcing he's presence to the nearby female orangutans however the kissing noises means that he doesn't want you near him otherwise he will hurt you..

    The orangutan is actually pissed. It's doing something called a "rolling call" and at around 00:38 it makes a kissing kinda noise which, in orangutan, means fuck off. It's just telling the humans to go somewhere else; don't come closer to me.

  • @ryno4ever433

      Jag Heter Generally speaking, pound-for-pound they are 4-5 times stronger than humans...PLUS, instead of hips and feet like us, they have two sets of shoulders and hands....and gigantic canine teeth with incredible jaws....if he decides to attack and catches a human, forget it! They are SUCH impressive animals, and practically doomed to extinction in the wild...a huge tragedy unfolding right now, due to humans of course.

    • @PyroNonStop
      @PyroNonStop 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      SpruceCreekTraders Oh holy cow that Is incredible. Do you Think their muscles can be trained like us humans? So if the World record bench press is 800 Pounds, that means an orangutang could do 4 or 5 times 800 Pounds? Do you Think you could train an orangutang to reach its genetic peak in muscle mass and strength? What about giving an orangutang Human Growth Hormone and steroids?

    • @pikppa

      Jag Heter Theorically it's possible but pratically their muscle structure is not ment to bench press. Their legs are tiny compared to the rest of the body so they can't stay in bipedal position for long.

    I've often wondered if the height of humans is intimidating to some creatures. Most critters this fellow comes across are probably no threat to him, and thus illicit no reaction. Humans however, are kinda freaky looking from an animal's perspective. Our clothing choices can make the same person seem to have a different color or texture in an animal's eyes. Not to mention our hind legged stature allows us to look down on all but the largest of terrestrial animals. I'm thinking this ape was just strolling, then happened upon some pale, hairless, multicolored giants all of the sudden and is kind of in a: "well.....shoot...." kind of mood.

    • @alejandrobruce4769
      @alejandrobruce4769 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      You got a point. It’s definitely a height thing. The thing is, most animals aren’t really judging threat level by actual size so much as perceived size relative to them. Humans are pretty scrawny creatures in the grand scheme of things (well, generally, we are, but you get the point), but that height adds more “bulk” onto our appearance. Humans are also some of the only creatures which attack outside of self-preservation or hunger (orcas and house cats may kill for the thrill of it and tigers have been known to attack out of vengeance), so adding onto that, a weird-looking ape which stands twice your height and which becomes unpredictable in a high-stress situation has a very real fear factor to it for most animals. Humans also use eye contact as a form of interpersonal communication and smile as a form of greeting one another, both of which are actually abnormal from a biological perspective since these are most often perceived as threat displays. Add that in, and I’m sure, as a wild animal, that you’d be afraid of the weird-looking, unpredictable ape which is seemingly telling you non-verbally that it wants you dead.💀

    • @azmagaref
      @azmagaref ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe, this all assumptions on our part, we can only guess what really goes in their mental process when they see us. They don't have any deep thinking process that would produce a thought like ""well.....shoot....".. kind of mood"".
      If I had to guess, in this Orang's brain there's just "wooo.. booga booga.. AAAAA"

    • @jasonberryman1035
      @jasonberryman1035 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alejandrobruce4769 it’s definitely not just limited to orcas and felids. Most higher thinking mammalian predators derive enjoyment from killing and even elephants and the other great apes will sometimes kill other creatures just for the sake of being able to do so. Otherwise I agree with your point

    • @jasonberryman1035
      @jasonberryman1035 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@azmagaref it’s equally assumptive to imply an animal that we don’t know the inner workings of necessarily wouldn’t have higher complex thoughts. I don’t believe in anthropomorphizing creatures but at the same time I don’t believe humans have some fundamental difference from other species. I’m under the current impression many of the higher thinking non-human animals are somewhere around the intellectual level of a young child however even then it’s all just hypothesis and whatnot so imho all three of our opinions hold equal validity and scrutinization.

  • @Dervraka
    @Dervraka 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    The kiss sound means he's mildly annoyed and is used to tell other Orangutans to "Get the hell out of my territory". However, he's a bit confused because there are other creatures in his territory and he's not quite sure if they are other Orangutans that are just very skinny, hairless and walk on two legs, or a different species entirely. (it is thought that humans do actually confuse Orangutans in that regard, we look sort of, but not quite, like other Orangutans). Good thing is, unlike chimps, Orangutans are rarely aggressive, worst they'll usually do is just make noise and try to scare intruders away.

      I challenge you to google: "REAL science & modern technology proves evolution is SCIENTIFICALLY IMPOSSIBLE". Today, there's an ever-growing number of scientists from several fields who are abandoning the mainstream scientISM community, due to what they have discovered. There are now peer-reviewed papers, articles, and quite a few books about it. DNA alone, utterly destroys the COMMUNIST invented theory of "evolution" ( yes, Charles Darwin was an early communist on the payroll too ) because DNA is THE INTELLIGENT BLUEPRINT that ensures all species SHALL REMAIN THE SAME SPECIES unless it is ended through extinction. Many species can adapt to a change in environment, to grow more or less hair, grow bigger or smaller, change color, etc......but it WILL be the same species that will revert right back if its environment calls for it. Should you delve into these new studies, be prepared, because it is explained through INTENSE scientific language that most people won't even understand. The gig is up. Evolution has been proven to be A TOTAL FRAUD..........NOT "a mistake".........A FRAUD. This is NOT "my opinion".......the REAL scientific study results cannot be denied. We've all been lied to. And now mainstream scientISM, governments, the socialist-controlled education system ( world-wide ) and mainstream media are desperately trying to HIDE the truth.
