So I have a Theory about what Soul Jam really is.
According to lore, the ancients didn't always have Soul Jam. They were born from nature tho, and aged up untill the point that they presumably had a Soul Jam. I have a theory that they awakened to them in a particular circumstance unique to their own character. A challenge to their worldview or a great struggle they couldn't easily get around. Which caused epiphany that changed who they were forever. Into who they were always meant to be, essentially Supreme character development. Turning their willpower into physical power to help facilitate their fully realized goals/ideals. i.e Soul Jam.
The way espresso unlocked his is more in line with his character, but it still shows evidencle for my theory. He was struggling with research for days on end harder then he ever had before. Crunching for days literally running out of time, everything he did ended up failing and he only had mere hours left to work. Not even coffee could help. He had no options left. But then, the meticulous cookie made one single accident. One that he would normally brush off. But we all saw what he did, he actually accepted the accident and in fact went along with it for the sake of progress. Sounds a bit like the method I described for my theory, albeit more in line with his character and scenario.
And who knows? I've stated on many occasions that I think Wildberry Cookie will gain a Soul Jam on his gauntlet based on its own aura effect matching that of the ancients soul jams. The way he might acquire that might be related to a real battle instead of a science experiment. 🤔

Is no one gonna mention the fact that Espresso achieved a similar solution to what White Lily was trying to do? She was trying to make the perfect cookies at first so that they would live longer and she originally wanted to make them happy. Espresso just invented an upgrade that might not be perfect, but it could cause a potential buff that makes cookies last longer and makes them harder to crumble. Would that make Espresso a bigger threat to Dark Enchantress Cookie than the other ancients?

So the idea i've gotten from the ending of part 3 is that Espresso cookie was only able to create a successful artificial soul jam due to mixing both the receptacle (compressed sugar) infused with soul jam energy and coffee, because coffee is something that's already within Espresso cookie's dough which allowed him to hold it and resonated with him...

I have a very strong feeling that the gem in Wildberry Cookies gauntlet is gonna become a new soul Jam. Based on the way its aura effect matches up with the other ancients soul jams. Espresso already manufactured a Soul Jam with his research. So I see no reason for wildberry not to get one. But this is merely conjecture. I could be completely wrong for all I know and that manufactured soul jam could become unstable.

So based on the research it looks like soul energy can be shared but the soul jam itself cannot be shared as it is very selective to who it’s owner is. The receptacle has to be infused with the new owner’s specialty to contain and utilise the power of the soul energy
I knew immediately at the end of chapter 1 that Shadow Sister cookie was going to appear, looks like I play tower of sweet chaos a little bit much, but I wasn’t expecting espresso cookie’s success and partly becoming like an ancient

Hmm the story has similarity with Arcane, lower city is zaun while the upper city is plitover, both were ruled by a council of aristocratic oligharch's that only care for the upper city.
My speculation is that order of saint pastry take advantage of the "shadow'" of creme republic, thats probably the reason why those missionaries that preach providence only appear in the lower city and and inequality in creme republic resulted many of them fall into a zealout cult.
