I just took out my speedy b 30 to wear. I don't think I've even worn it since the pandemic. Used to wear it on my commute but I'm working from home now. I was just in the mood for a bigger bag and pulled this one from the closet. I had forgotten how much I love this bag.
I bought my Speedy B30 in 2021 and just started wearing it a few days ago, and I absolutely love it! I’ve been wearing my Odeon MM as I love it as crossbody and I just love the way it sits flat on my hip. I just felt in the mood to wear the speedy and man am I mad I haven’t busted it out sooner 😂 I love it as top handle for quick runs and man does it hold a lot. I plan to use it a little while longer and may use the strap if I’m going shopping but for now, I want to save myself from the “chipping” saga, and just hold it as she’s beautiful. YES! Every time I bring mine out to use, I wonder where it’s been all my life LOL. And the Odeon is one I’d like to try on - it looks so comfy and practical, while being gorgeous at the same time.
I don't think you should be so hard on yourself. Just recently I was watching a daytime talk show and this woman and her cousin inherited her grandmother's bag closet. She said her grandmother had four bag closets. One for each season and they were all replica bags purchased from Mirbag .

My classic speedy is 22 yo. There is no chipping on my hardware whatsoever. It’s stunning to me that the newer bags that cost $1800+ have that defect and that people continue to buy them with those issues.
Really glad I stumbled on your video! I'm super torn on getting the new speedy b 25 DE or to get one pre-loved because of the matte finish leather on the new DE. If I look at your video and although it's been 4 yrs, I can't tell if your DE is with the newer matte finish or the original a bit shiny leather on the handle and strap. I read on lots of forums that the matte leather can get water marks from rain, and a LV SA told me to be mindful when using hand lotion before touching the handles/strap. This is definitely not the case with the older shiny DE leather. If you do have the DE in the newer matte finish, how does the matte finish holding up on your speedy b nowadays? Is it easy to get some water marks (rain) on the matte handle? I know that rain isn't an issue with the original shiny leather. Curious to know how the matte leather performs! :) Thanks so much!!

I love mine but the only thing that gets me is how yellow gold the bandouliere strap clasps are compared to the hardware on the bag. For the price LV charges for these bags, I feel like all the hardware should match. The difference in hardware and how yellow gold the clasps are, it could be deemed as a fake solely because people don’t always know that these issues are normal.
I am experiencing the same thing with my Speedy 25 hardware. I bought mine in 2021, and the hardwares discoloration is disappointing. I think they should use better hardware.
My Speedy B is similar to yours, bought from Fashionphile except mine is a 25. For what I paid and it was n Excellent condition, it was completely worth it. It holds so much, I don’t have to “baby” it and it will last a good while. The only bummer is why did I take so long to get it.

I will never buy a bag like this again. After many years I've bought this one for my birthday last year. Is it beautiful; yes it is but if you travel a lot by bus or tram it gonna get dirty very quickly. You can let clean it at the store but it's exspensive. So my advice is buy the bag that suits your life style. I don't want to spend my life around a bag, any bag. So its the first and the last expensive bag for me.

I bought mine in 2018 too and the hardwares are fading. I wiped it with brasso metal polish as I have seen it on youtube and it really works.

I’ve never had any issues with water marks, so I probably have the older leather! I love mine. I suggest going preloved 😁
