Hey, "not so Phat", good job. Losing 100# is not easy and truly amazing. Racing, drifting, upgrading our cars (especially Porsches and other exotics) is very expensive. Also, finding a shop that will work on a modified Porsche is tough with all the federal smog regulations. I have a 2015 S and changed the intake filters, plenum, throttle body, FVD tune myself (stuffing my 74 year old body last year in the trunk for 2 days). I got the local indy muffler shop to change my headers, plugs and cat-back exhaust. Wow, what a change in sound (my wife wears ear plugs when in the car now) and performance. Next I'll work on down-force and try to eliminate the front-end lift of this model Cayman. Well, keep your spirits up and your wallet Phat ;). I'm enjoying your posts, thanks!

As a fellow Cali car guy, 250 isn't bad at all all things considered. I know I was sweating bullets at the smog shop cause they did that whole banning of the tuned ECU thing, and EVOMsit wanted nearly 1k to flash it back to stock. It ended up passing but I'd rather pay the 250 fine then spend 1k flashing back to stock.
Shit I think I had made a comment prior about you being wild for driving that built beast around the oc haha sorry to see it happen but at least you were able to get it resolved. Always stoked to see you putting out more content. I’m scared asf to drive my car around OC/socal anymore it sucks 😢
I understand where you’re coming from being a car owner in California is rough. After years of worrying about ref, I decided to leave my current car stock with a simple reversible mods. Not to mention biennial smog check that check ecu firmware checksums for obd2 make it so more difficult to pass. You have sick builds and I’m sure your other hobbies would be neat to follow too.
Oh man what a joke! Talk about land of the free! Feels bad, but $250 is not a bad punch, could have been much worse. Im dying to see more content with your Cayman, but expand into other things you mentioned for sure! Good luck !
