After some thought and looking at other videos showing similar issues, I am fairly certain that the problem was simply that the motor had seized up and simply getting in there and manually moving it freed things up!
@@SchlichteToven I looked it up on youtube. I believe it was related to Dyson but maybe wrong. I havent had a problem since, i guess you could just try water and soak. Main thing is he doesn't realize the actual filter is the piece that snaps off.
@@SchlichteToven Yeah it will probably cut off again. You need to clean the filter. Same issue was happening with me. Soak it 30 mins with soap and water and brush the filter clean
I agree. In my case, after verifying the filter was clean, I blew shop air into the motor without disassembling the handle and it started working again. It was a fairly easy fix.
My wife bought a refurbished one. She got 2 years plus out of it. It would not work. 3 red lights and 1 white goes on for just a sec. Anyway, I'll take off the filter and clean it . The TR6 I will find. Just that is a start. Thanks
You have a nice voice. Very pleasant and idk, accepting in tone. Plus, great video. I have the Dyson Airwrap and it too seemed broken until I followed the beginning of your video And then felt in over my head. But it made me subscribe to your channel. Even if you were only a magician this once, you sure seems to know what you’re doing diving in head first to that repair! Nice video! Your wife will be thrilled if it stays..functioning. Thank you!
that is what I need in my life, a handy guy, ps GOD send me one. Thanks for the video. Mine is flashing red and I will try your video tomorrow. Thanks again.
My dayso dray hair don't work it's new but it have worked for just 10 minut and it stopped suddenly and the two red light stat to flashing can you please give me an advice
I believe that the flashing lights usually means that the filter needs to be cleaned. The filter is the part at the base of the handle and should be easy to get to. If that doesn't fix it, I would try to return it and get a different one since it's new and should not be faulty.
Mine keeps failing the test when it’s plugged in. It will flash red for the test and click, and then keep doing that over and over. If I try to turn on the dryer the lights will flash on but then turn off. Do you know what could be the problem?
It's hard to say for sure, but the easiest thing to check is the filter at the base of the handle. It's really easy to remove and clean. I know that if that gets clogged it can cause over heating which can cause the issue that you are describing.
This did make me laugh. You literally had no idea what you was doing! All you had to do was clean the bottom filter. that's what the 3 flashing lights mean. it fixes this 99% of the time. its an awful design though having to pop off buttons to get inside. lol
@@julesjulianjulesMine was as well. I cleaned it, and no dice. Now it's 1:00am and I've got half my hair dried/straightened and have to search the internet for solutions.
I've had a few similar comments. But I tried cleaning the filter and still nothing. I agree there was no true "fix" in my video, but regardless, it started working and it's now a year later and it's still going. Also, I bought it "broken" for next to nothing. So... I'd day it's a win

@@jessicasmith4478It says not to use water or cleaning products to clean the filter
