Jesus drank water. The Bible said He ate nothing, and after the 40 days He was hungry, not thirsty (Luke 4:1-2). Thus in the wilderness He was drinking water from brooks or rivers, in that area. Folks have been in that area Jesus was fasting and confirmed this.

It is beneficial to drink water if you intend to fast without eating for a long time. Failure to do so can be injurious to your health.
I agree with the concept of fasting but cannot find where pregnant mothers and the interruption of a honeymoon is mentioned.
