For your information, the translators of the KJV changed MANY Scriptures to support the hell and trinity FALSE DOCTRINES. They also ADDED many Scriptures that do not belong.
All these verses were added to the KJV: The verses are Matthew 17:21; 18:11; 23:14; Mark 7:16; 9:44, 46; 11:26; 15:28; Luke 17:36; 23:17; John 5:4; Acts 8:37; 15:34; 24:7; 28:29; and Romans 16:24. Where is your criticism of Christendom's Scripture additions?
They used to have a song based on Matthew 10:28 where they literally sang in the chorus "Fear not those who kill the body but can't not destroy the soul." I remember at least once as a teen looking at those lyrics and going "huh?"
@@Scott-t2p the "huh?" was more because born into a JW family I was raised to believe that body meant body and soul meant body. So "Fear not those who kill the body, but can not destroy the body" was some odd phrasing to me. But I was a good little Witness and buried those questions deep deep down

ISA 26:14 They are dead; they will not live. Powerless in death, they will not rise up.s For you have turned your attention to them To annihilate them and destroy all mention of them.
A few thoughts on aspects of this video. After admitting fairly early on that "Many Christians don't believe in Hell as a place. Just annihilationism." And "Even those who do believe it's a place, it's debated exactly what happens. Is it darkness and regret? Literal fire and brimestone?" You go on to say that you are "Not really here to prove either one". So what IS the point of this video? Disagreeing with witnesses JUST to disagree with Witnesses? On Words: The NWT Translation of 2 Thessalonians 1:9 as "everlasting destruction" holds up with 39 out of the 62 translations provided on the Biblegateway website (Either "Eternal" or "Everlasting" destruction). Funny how opposer's pick-and-choose when it's appropriate to translate literally, and when it's not. So - With no justification whatsoever - Christendom has John 8:58 as "I AM" (By "no justification" I mean claiming it's an allusion to Exodus 3:14) but "I have been" at John 14:9, and "I am he" at John 4:26. Or how about Colossians 1:16 where Christendom INSISTS on a literal translation of "all things", even though they are happy to translate the same elsewhere as "all other" (Luke 13:12), "all the other" (Luke 21:29), or "all the others" (Philippians 2:21), for example. On Jehovah's Character: Not for the first time in this series of videos you have avoided referencing verses that commonly come up when Witnesses discuss a particular topic, in favour of verses that we don't use quite so much. Making out that the verses you do state, are our main argument. How about Jeremiah 32:35? "Furthermore, they built the high places of Baʹal in the Valley of the Son of Hinʹnom, in order to make their sons and their daughters pass through the fire to Moʹlech, something that I had not commanded them and that HAD NEVER COME INTO MY HEART TO DO SUCH A DETESTABLE THING, causing Judah to sin.’" How could this verse have any meaning if Hell were a literal place of torment? Death would have been quick in such a case as this verse talks about. If Jehovah found that abhorrent, why would eternal torment for a relatively short, sinful life be acceptable? ESPECIALLY, if - as you claim in a previous video - (The False God of Jehovah's Witnesses) God knows from before a person is even born, what their fate will be? (In that video at the 10:03 mark, you say you didn't want to get into the whole "Predestination" debate, which I took as a tacit admission that you knew that word would likely spring up in listeners minds and was a hole in your argument) Where is the justice (And love) in that?
Your response is exactly why I created this content. That and to point out the flaws in their reasoning, the lies, and give an alternative view. Also you missed the point of Jeremiah, God isn’t creating a place of sin, God is issuing judgment on sinners, THAT entered his mind. It’s not about the place of Gehenna, it’s the coming judgement on a wicked people, that is called the lake of fire.
Eternal hell and eternal paradise, all that follow Jesus by the holy spirit will be in eternal paradise, all that reject the holy spirit will be in eternal hell! The question is do we have this free gift, the power of salvation to follow Jesus into eternal paradise!
G'day Matt, I notice you are defending the WT's view on Hell. Have you stopped to think that on many other issues we have discussed (and where you haven't been able to provide an answer especially regarding the Men of Sodom and the identity of the FDS) these men in New York have got sooooo many things wrong ie Armageddon was prophesied 7 times and they got it wrong 7 times over 125 years. Sodom and Gomorrah 7 times the inhabitants would resurrected and then not resurrected Jesus was not the the Archangel Michael and now He is. Jesus was to be worshipped and now He is not. Charles Russell was the FDS and now he is not The Great Pyramid was the Bible in stone and now it is not. Shunning was an evil thing and now it is not. Worshipping 2 Gods for over 75 years etc etc etc The law of averages is predicting these 9 Men you are following have stuffed this one up also. If, over 100 years, every time they predicted Armageddon, NOTHING HAPPENS. These Men with the self proclaimed title of the FDS, have got an ETERNAL issue wrong. You are gambling on the presumption they have got this doctrine correct. I'm not a gambling man, and this organisation has a track record of getting their doctrine wrong again and again and again. Gambling on this issue isn't worth it. 125 years of Armageddon false prophesies is just the tip of the iceberg. The worshipping of 2 Gods being Jesus and Jehovah the Father for over 75 years should ring alarms bells. I cannot find any passage to support worshipping 2 Gods. Thanks.
G'day again Matt, I noticed there was no response to the points I made of complete and utter failure of Jehovah's Prophet. With 40 years of studying the Watchtower, and please correct me if I am wrong, but out of EVERY Prophecy the Faithful and Discreet Slave has ever uttered,( being Mr Russell , The Anointed, and the Governing Body which was INVENTED or CREATED in 1971) not one, and I mean not one prediction has ever happened. a 100 Percent failure rate. These same men state there is no Hell. These same men who state that the doctrine of Hell is NOT in the bible are also the same men who said that all the dates for the 7 Armageddon failures WERE IN THE BIBLE. Can you see a pattern here, It must take an enormous amount of blind faith to follow these men. As I say to every Atheist, I don't have enough blind faith to be an Atheist. Christ asked us to follow him with faith, not blind faith. A response would be appreciated.
It is so horribly wicked that Jehovah’s witnesses twist the bible by knowingly changing words in the bible to fit their doctrine. Only after I quit Jehovah’s witnesses I learned of this horrible practice of them. Thank you for making these video’s, I learn a lot from them.
JW is not reading the Bible but Love story LOL so sad they all will be lost for nothing we can only pry for them Place of Torment Luke 16:23, in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, describes Hell as a “place of torment.” The rich man in the story is in agony and begs for even a drop of water to cool his tongue. This parable provides one of the most detailed descriptions of the experience of Hell in the Bible. It emphasizes the physical and emotional suffering associated with Hell.
I am not a JW but I agree with some of what they believe and this happens to be one of a few of them. So, if a fiery torturous hell is real and the wicked are tortured ALIVE for eternity then that would contradict the scriptures. God says the wicked shall not have eternal life but if they are being eternally tortured then they actually do have it. A pretty bad one but nevertheless eternal life. Also, why throw death and the grave into a torturous place. Can they be tormented eternally too? What most people are taught and believe about hell is not what hell actually is. Jesus said "the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church ". What did he mean? "Hell" is actually what is called the "grave". So what is "the gates of hell"? Those gates are metaphorical for death. To enter the grave/ "hell" one must experience / go through death. Death is the door or gate to gravedom. Sooo...Jesus was saying death would not prevail against the church since the TRUE church will be resurrected to eternal life at his appearing. Death has no power over them. Also, the scriptures are adamant about man dieing and sleeping in the dust of the ground until one of two Resurrections. Remember Genesis 3 vs 22, 23. They were exiled from the garden BEFORE they could eat from the tree of life and live forever. Also, man was created a living being/soul not an immortal one. Since the traditional "churchianity" torturous hell is a deceptive lie, what about their teaching of going to heaven. Is it also untrue? Again the Bible is very clear that man would stay dead until one of the Resurrections. God said of his son Jesus...."this is my beloved son, listen to him". If we are to listen to Jesus then why doesn't "churchianity" believe him when he said "blessed are the humble for they shall inherit the earth"? But, but wait Jesus, you have it all wrong. That can't be right. Since you are God, why is it you don't know the meek shall inherit heaven? Huh? Jesus is God? Really? If he truly IS God why does he say 4 times in Revelation 3 v 12 he has a God. Why does Paul, speaking of the glorified Jesus, say he is a man in 1 Timothy 2 v 5? Also, can God die? If Jesus is God and God can't die then Jesus could not have really died so woe to true believers for they are still in their sins and have no hope. Paul in 1st Corinthians 15 vs 27, 28 says everything but 1 has been put under christ. That 1 thing not in subjection to christ is God. Does this not also tell us Jesus is NOT God? Jesus is a one of a kind HUMAN son of God miraculously begotten by God's active power in the womb of Mary. Jesus's life began then. His only pre-existance was in God's plan before the foundation of the world. Jesus is the first fruits, the first born of humanity from the dead. I could go on but at this point I think I have said enough. I used to believe the churchianity lies until 2016. That is when I started questioning these teachings. It took a couple years to come to grips with the knowledge that I had been deceived on these and other matters since 1978. That is why I comment as I do......hoping others will consider these things and come to a more accurate knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Colossians 1:16-18 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Revelation 1:8, 18 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
The Bible say Jesus Christ is God Almighty, Creator, Alpha & Omega. It's a mystery according to 1 Timothy 3:16. A mystery is something that is not easily understood. Pray to God humbly to show you the Truth & get you out of confusion. Just as man has a body, spirit & soul, 1 Thess. 5:23, God who made man in His likeness is God the Father, the Word (Jesus) & the Holy Spirit. These three are one just as man is one though body spirit and soul. For humans who practise witchcraft, their spirits can leave their bodies to go else where for other activities. But the body becomes immobile during thus process. But For God Almighty, a part of Him can leave His body to go for an operation elsewhere and God the Father will still be alive & active because He's the God. I pray the Lord gives you understanding

GOD only promised ETERNAL LIFE for those who exercised faith in Jesus and the Father. GOD won't give eternal life to wicked people and torture them forever. so why do you make GOD A LITERAL TORTURER?
@Mr. D. C. Exercising faith in Jesus is another wt term not in the Bible, only in their bible because their beliefs are different, hence a different bible. Jesus talks about hell. Lazarus and the rich man, for example.
@@dianeexley1709 that's just your own false opinions. actually, the Greek word means "commit (to trust), put in trust with" it's related word means "2) the general quality or characteristic of being unwavering in such profession (fidelity, faithfulness, commitment) 2a) continuance of faith in one's profession." so exercise faith is a better translation
I would like to ask an important question. Keep in mind, I believe in the existence of "hell", and it isn't even operating at full strength yet, but it is a place of torment as Jesus taught. But, have you ever counted the times Jesus spoke of heaven and hell? I have, and you repeated something that I would like to know where the source is. I counted every time Jesus spoke of heaven and hell, and made hash marks to count them up, and he spoke quite a bit more of heaven than he did hell. So I am wondering where that statement originated. Everybody I asked said they just "heard" that somewhere and repeated it. So I studied it directly and found that statement to be false. Jesus spoke for of the Kingdom of Heaven than He did hell.
@@Scott-t2p ALL will be resurrected. One is for those who have Christ as their Savior. The 2nd resurrection, the one you say doesn't exist, is a resurrection unto eternal judgement.
Everyone should research the other views on hell on TH-cam. After collecting all the different Biblical texts the most logical view is, death is the punishment for sin not everlasting torment. Just think about it, how can a person be tortured forever and call it love? Love is not letting your loved ones suffer. That’s what God’s love is about not letting suffering go on. God said you will perish while others receive eternal life.
God‘s ways are not our ways, His are higher. I don’t think you would give your son for someone who just murdered your whole family would you? Well that’s what the Bible teaches. While we were still his enemies Christ died for us.(Romans 5:8-10) Also we must accept that there is a Hell. It’s not God is bad it’s that we cannot be in his presence if we’re not covered by the sacrifice of his son because HE IS HOLY and we are not. Does Isaiah 66:22-24 tell us if hell is literal or symbolic? Compare Mark 9:48. Are there literally worms in hell, fire-resistant worms? What is there purpose if not symbolism? Will you literally observe a Sabbath? (Isaiah 66:23). Will those living with God literally look upon those suffering in hell every week for eternity? Will Death and hell literally suffer torment in hell? (Rev 20:14). (At 4:35) The thief next to Christ. Do you think a man who repents on his deathbed is a cinch for eternal life with Christ as a child of God? Children of God need to "have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil" (Heb 5:14 ESV). Maybe he is a cinch for being given a second chance in order to "grow up into salvation" (1 Peter 2:2 ESV). Ezekiel 28:16 (MKJV): "I _destroy_ you, O covering cherub." Ezekiel 28:19 (NRSV, LEB): "you shall _cease to exist_ forever." How can a cherub spirit being cease to exist? At 2 Peter 3:7 judgment is compared to destruction (Gr. apoleia). And at Ezekiel 28:16,19 destroy means cease to exist. So judgment = destruction = cease to exist, even in spirit form. According to God burning people is evil: Jer 7:30-31 (NRSV): "For the people have done _evil_ in my sight...to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire." So if burning people is evil, why would God do evil? "God is unversed in evils" (James 1:13 NENT).
“For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before me, says the LORD, so shall your offspring and your name remain. From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the LORD. And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.” (Is. 66:22-24 ESV) “The new heavens and the new earth” - This speaks of the eschaton when God makes the new heavens and the new earth, which will last forever. “Your offspring and your name remain” - The redeemed shall also remain forever. “From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath” - There will be regular and perpetual worship before the Lord who will reign in Jerusalem. "And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.” - Those who have been redeemed will be perpetually reminded of those who did not obey and suffer eternally. The description of hell in this passage uses figurative lnaguage. If I were to tell a person in the jungle, who had never seen a city, what NY city looks like I would have to describe it in terms that the person could understand. Isaiah and Jesus describe hell as a place of eternal torment in language that people of their time would understand. === In Luke 23:43, Jesus promised the repentant thief that he would be with him that day in Paradise. Jesus made the promise, so your contention is with him. === Eze 28 is about the King of Tyre and only applied to Satan paradigmatically. The king would cease to live on earth forever and would no longer have sway over people. === 2Pe 3:7 - The word απωλεια is used of the beast in Rev 17:11. There the reader is told that the beast is going to destruction (εἰς ἀπώλειαν ὑπάγει). Does that mean the beast ceases to exist? No. If you read to the end of the book you find that, “the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” (Rev. 20:10 ESV) Destruction for the beast means that he is "tormented day and night forever and ever." It does not mean to cease to exist. === You said: [ According to God burning people is evil: Jer 7:30-31 (NRSV): "For the people have done evil in my sight...to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire." So if burning people is evil, why would God do evil? ] God said that killing people is evil, so why would God do evil? Do you see the problem with this argument? It ignores the justice of God. === I've addressed your objections, please address my evidence. Explain the following passages: “And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”” (Rev. 14:9-11 ESV) ““Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” (Matt. 25:41 ESV) “And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”” (Matt. 25:46 ESV)

Question: ======= Do you personally believe that if the event of Armageddon, long prophesied by your organization, occurs today, 8 billion people, including some 1.5 billion children, will be destroyed forever?
Dear David, the bible passage with the thief on the Cross goes like this: "Luke 23:42-43 (LSB Strong's) 42 And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come in Your kingdom!” 43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.” You claim this : "The thief next to Christ. Do you think a man who repents on his deathbed is a cinch for eternal life with Christ as a child of God? Children of God need to "have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil" (Heb 5:14 ESV). Maybe he is a cinch for being given a second chance in order to "grow up into salvation" (1 Peter 2:2 ESV)." Can you please show me where Jesus stated or implied this to the thief on the cross. Either Jesus forgot to tell the thief this AND Luke forgot to record this in the bible OR You are adding to the words of Jesus. Your human reasoning states "Do You Think A Man Who Repents On His Deathbed Is A Cinch For Eternal Life With Christ As A Child Of God? " I take Christ at His promise to the thief. I believe every word that the Bible says Including what is recorded for Jesus including Luke 23:43 I hope one day you can too.
@@RowanTasmanian All Jesus was saying was that the thief would be resurrected. (Acts 24:15) How could he be in paradise (Heaven) with Jesus that day, when Jesus himself didn't ascend for 40 days? And even after his ascension, Scripture tells us that resurrections for the 144,000 wouldn't begin until Christ's presence. (1 Corinthians 15:23) JW's know (As do SDA's and others) that Luke 23:43 more properly reads: "And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.”" (Note the position of the comma). This verse is cross referenced with Acts 24:15 which I mentioned earlier, and -among others - John 5:28,29. It reads in part: "...the hour is COMING in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment." It does not say that when Jesus' contemporaries died, that their 'souls' went to heaven or hell. As you have stated that you "believe every word that the Bible says Including what is recorded for Jesus", then I'm sure you will now be humbly altering your position on these matters.
@@mattgardiner614 Thank you Matt, As the WT have no biblical scholars or anyone that can read Greek and Hebrew, I will quote what real scholars state in Real Translations. The KJV, NRSV, LSB, NASB, NET, RSV, ESV, JN Darby, HCSB , CSB Etc Etc Etc, all read the same way. Real Scholarship Real Translators. A side note to this verse, When Jesus was dying on the cross, who including Jesus would say "Luke 23:43 (KJV) And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee YESTERDAY-TODAY-TOMORROW, shalt thou be with me in paradise. That makes no sense. Jesus never ever said anything about the resurrection or any other points of theology. Jesus said (KJV) Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. However I was still waiting on your reply to my previous question. I have taken the liberty to paste it here again for you My main points were "... predicting Armageddon 7 times and getting it wrong every time. Their "Fruits" of 150 years has been to preach a message of Armageddon that failed to happen 7 Times. 100 percent failure. Are the "Fruit" by having a huge majority of the 144,000 going to heaven worshipping Jesus and Jehovah, that by my reckoning is worshipping 2 Gods. From 1880 until 1954 ALL of the 144,000 worshipped Jesus. That's 74 years of "Preaching that you MUST worship 2 Gods". Having a Founder Mr Russell and later on Mr Rutherford and Mr Knorr categorically state that their members must worship 2 Gods for 74 years is my main contention. As I stated previously a vast majority of the 144,000 went to their graves after preaching door to door ALL THEIR LIVES the message that you must worship Jesus and Jehovah. Worshipping 2 Gods is not endorsed anywhere in Scripture. I'm not trying to be smart, and I promise you that Matt, but I really struggle with Jehovah allowing almost all of the 144,000 to go to heaven and rule with Christ and they have been worshipping 2 Gods. BACK THEN FOR 74 YEARS, if you didn't worship Christ, you were disobeying Jehovah's organisation. After 1954 if you are worshipping Christ, you are disobeying Jehovah's organisation. From the earliest writings in the bible to the last book, worshipping anyone other that 1 God is strictly prohibited “All creatures in heaven and earth shall worship Jesus as he worships the Father. WT 8/15/1941, p. 252” BUT THEN THIS “God uses The Watch Tower to communicate to his people; IT DOES NOT CONSIST OF MEN’S OPINIONS. WT 1/1/1942, p. 5” Final thought. If Jehovah is using the WT and it does not consist of men's opinions, why did Jehovah teach through the pages of the WT to worship Jesus (another God) and why today after 1954 Jesus is a second God. Jehovah says plainly There is One TRUE God: All other gods are false. Deuteronomy 4:35, 6:4, 10:14, Psalm 96:5, 97:9, Isaiah 43:10, 44:6-8, 44:24, 45:5-6, 45:21-23, 46:9, 48:11-12, John 17:3, 1 Timothy 2:5, Revelation 1:8, Thank you for taking the time to read this.
@@Scott-t2p Yes, death will be. The end will come, judgement and separation for the wicked, life for the righteous in Christ, who will never die again. Are you a universalist?
Please, let people from other Religions tell us what they believe about "Hell Fire" For me,if sinners should be cast into Hell fire to burn forever but would not die, then, with time,I think, they would get used to the fire. Just like the story found in the "Parable of the Rich man and the Lazarus", to a point, the Rich man in Hell saw Lazarus in Heaven and then begged Lazarus to give him a drop of water to drink. Honestly,I can't imagine the possibility of someone who is inside busy burning fire begging for water. Maybe he is now used to it or has turned to fire himself.
Actually the allegorical story about the Rich man and the Beggar was Jesus targeting two LIVING GROUPS in his day. No one can have a conversation across any gulf without a phone. No water to be got and no fingers available to dip into water. It would also mean that 'heaven' and hell are an arms length away.
GOD only promised ETERNAL LIFE for those who exercised faith in Jesus and the Father. GOD won't give eternal life to wicked people and torture them forever. so why do you make GOD A LITERAL TORTURER?
Just a question. If hell is some torture chamber in outer space for sinners, how did Jesus end up in hell? (Acts 2:27). Peter tell us that Jesus was sinless.
@@12firehose : Did Jesus go to HELL and get tortured ETERNALLY? Acts 2:27 KJV Because thou wilt not leave my soul in HELL, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Not some oxygen-less fire in some torture chamber in outer space conjured up in the minds of some sadists. Jehovah God is LOVE. Torture doesn't even comes to his mind. Jehovah's Christian Witnesses fit this prophecy. Nice video as usual but don't you think people burning in hell for eternity means sin will exist forever? Thought christ brought about victory over death meaning end of sin. Jude 1:7 can create context on the 'forever' used.
What a lovely God they worship. The wages sin pays is…..death. Think about what Adam was told was the penalty of disobedience. Where did God say he would go?
John 3:16 and 14:6 to Heaven or Place of Torment Luke 16:23, in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, describes Hell as a “place of torment.” The rich man in the story is in agony and begs for even a drop of water to cool his tongue. This parable provides one of the most detailed descriptions of the experience of Hell in the Bible. It emphasizes the physical and emotional suffering associated with Hell.
Bottomless Pit Revelation 9:1-2 refers to Hell as a “bottomless pit” or “Abyss.” This description suggests a place of infinite depth, emphasizing the idea that those in Hell are endlessly falling away from God. The bottomless nature of the pit implies that there’s no foundation or stability in Hell, only continuous descent.
Are we to understand that hell is some oxygenless fire in outer space which is designed to torture people. Is so, how is it thrown into another fire called the Lake of fire? Revelation 20:14. Is it the fight fire with fire policy? Jesus was also in hell for parts of three days (Acts 2:27). He never mentioned being tortured after God resurrected him.

Let me ask you this. If I was this nice guy who gave to charity, had picnics with my family, called my mother...but then there was this side of me who had a basement under my house where I tortured people...would you want to be my friend? If not, why not?
No, because you're violating God's law, by killing innocent people. Are you comparing God to a serial killer? You do realize God killed people in the flood, people in Israel, other nations, and many more instances. You yourself believe Jehovah will kill billions of men women and children during Armageddon. Was God wrong for doing so? No, because God is judging sin, and is justified in doing so. The teaching about eternal death on hellfire was a false, the real eternal death means, those who died but not believing Jehovah will never be resurrected, they are forever dead as eternal dead, Mark, 12:26-27 , Jesus answered them with question, " Concerning the dead to be raised up?????????, You are very BIG MISTAKE", therefore the Lake of fire symbolized only to GRAVES where maggots does not die, and the fire that does not put out is the hotness below the ground comes from the earth's core, Mark, 9:44-49,
“For the wages of sin is death,” Romans 6:23 tells us. The Bible is very clear; those who sin earn eternal punishment. The holiness of God is like a consuming fire, such that the impure can't stand in his presence and live (Hebrews 12:29, Exodus 33:20). ALL we have to do is repent: Romans 10:9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Very Simple)
2 Peter 3:10 says “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.” There is a day coming where God will bring a final and complete judgment of sin. Not to get too deep into the descriptions of the events but here is a general timeline of what will happen: Rapture of the church Tribulation Second Coming of Christ Millennium (The thousand year reign of Christ on the earth) Satan’s Final Judgment The Great White Throne Judgment The New Heaven and New Earth After the completion of the Great White Throne Judgment, which is the judgment for all who have chosen to reject Christ, John mentions he saw the New Heaven and New Earth. So it appears that we will see this once the final judgment is completed. When you look at 2 Peter 3:7, you see that God’s method of judgment on the earth and the way the old one will pass away is by fire.
The Bible states that only God is immortal 1 Timothy 6:16 God and Christ in the book of revelation state they are the beginning and the end and the alpha and omega. The Bible goes on to say that the wages of sin is death, all men have sinned and must die. The Bible says that death is a sleep and the righteous will resurrect at Jesus’ return 1 Thessalonians 4:13 et al. No where in the Bible does it say man has an immortal soul. Though I’m not a JW, I do believe that the concept of the immortal soul came into the church through gentile Greeks who were Neoplatonistic and was perpetuated by RCC doctrine and was carried over into Protestantism. In an Adventist and we believe there’s going to be a judgment of the wicked called hell, but that the fires will go out Malachi 4:1, and that the righteous shall walk upon the ashes of the wicked. And God will make a new heaven and earth
So, The Bible teaches us that God reminds Himself that we are dust ( Psalm 103:14 ), and He won't allow us to be tempted more than what we can endure and provide a way out ( 1 Corinthians 10:13 ), sent His son to die for us a horrible death so we will never ended up separated from God, but He will send / judge us to hell, a place of eternal torment from which there's no escape ? It sounds like a tyrant. You either serve God or suffer the consequences eternally. God gives us free will as long as it is His will ? The Bible says that you'll have to choose eternal life with God or oblivion, in case of humans. But satan and the demons will have a different judgement because they are spiritual beings. Hells is prepared for them, but if you want to join them, God won't stop you. You have to consciously want to be there instead of living with God eternally. He will give others who had died a second chance because they haven't fully experienced who God truly is. Afterwards, they'll have to decide based on their "works" if they wish to continue living eternally with God or not.
exjw Devil-inspired Teaching It was the Devil who told Eve: "You positively will not die." (Genesis 3:4; Revelation 12:9) But she did die; no part of her lived on. That the soul lives on after dearth is a lie started by the Devil. And it is also a lie, which the Devil has had spread, that the souls of the wicked are tormented in a hell or a purgatory. Since the Bible clearly shows that the dead are unconscious, these teachings could not be true. Actually, neither the word "purgatory" nor the idea of a purgatory is found in the Bible.

@@LightoverDarkMinistry Psalm 112:10 is instructive concerning the wicked's end in this regard. The verses just before it describe the final glory of God's people. Verse 10 then says: "The wicked man will see and be vexed, he will gnash his teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing." Gnash his teeth as he may, the wicked man's rage does him no good in the end. Even as he grinds his teeth, he comes to nothing (the KJV has "melt away"). When the Roman Catholic church came up with the hell fire torment teachings, and many have fallen for it, JWs must be 'crazy' to be no part of these. This is the second death, the lake of fire. EHV Death and the GRAVE were thrown into the Lake of Fire. The Lake of Fire is the second death. The Greek word HADES is translated as HELL and the GRAVE. No fires in this Biblical hell. Just nothingness. Nonexistence until a resurrection bring these back into existence. Jesus too ended up in HELL when he died. All who die generally do. It is called the GRAVE. Acts 2:27 KJV Because thou wilt not leave my soul in HELL, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
There is no such thing as the perfect church. If there was one the minute I step in it becomes corrupt, because I am imperfect. The JW come close to the perfect church. @LightoverDarkMinistry I never said they are "the true church". I don't even think there is such a thing. They have their flaws like everyone else. I said I appreciate their structure, i.e., their discipline, orderliness and consistency. Doctrine aside, if a drug addict or an alcoholic makes an effort to attend their meetings regularly with an open mind, and apply their teachings to their everyday lives, they will experience some significant improvement in their life. What good is the debate of whether or not there is a hellfire to someone hooked on drugs? He is already living his hellfire. Enslaved to his flesh. If a man has been rescued from the dark and destructive path of drugs or alcohol addiction though the practical application of biblical principles, that to me is salvation. Saved from a destructive and tragic end. The JW are very practical with the bible as a self help book. They see man[kind] as a sick people, spiritually and otherwise. And they try to use the bible as a remedy for this sickness. And this I find very impressive. Everything else is simply commentary. Man trying to outsmart himself.

JW’s are correct in their teaching on “Hell.” I’m not a JW, but I agree that hell is not a literal place existence after death. “Second death”, resurrected to judgment after first death. Second death would be annihilation after resurrection to judgment… “Knashing of teeth” would be the response, knowing that you truly missed out on eternal life. I like many of your videos, but in this one I believe your biblical wrong … Isn’t this what courts do. Show you your judgment. In some states this would be capital punishment..
Thanks. I did try and make the point that everyone should decide for themselves. I tend to lean one way, but there’s some good Christian men I know who agree with you. worm might be referring to that, might not, I keep an open mind. Μy point is JW’s don’t really teach any judgment. And I believe your exposition here is far more detailed than anything the WT has put out. @@NickHawaii I thank you for your question and based on my understanding of the Bible: Resentment can be a very real part of life. Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 was written: "'You are my witnesses, ' is the utterance of Jehovah, even my servant whom I have chosen.'" The author of this video is saying one lie after another, to deny that hell and immortal soul are pagan doctrines is ridiculous, there is plenty of evidence to show that they are. Since he can't understand what is symbolic and what it literal he will NEVER have anything worthwhile to offer, his understanding is seriously flawed.
@@LightoverDarkMinistry You need to know how unchristian those doctrines are and where they originated. Stumbling people with false information is a serious offense. The difficulty lies in the fact that the meanings popularly attached to the English word “soul” stem primarily, not from the Hebrew or Christian Greek Scriptures, but from ancient Greek philosophy, actually PAGAN RELIGIOUS THOUGHT. Greek philosopher Plato, for example, quotes Socrates as saying: “The soul, . . . if it departs pure, dragging with it nothing of the body, . . . goes away into that which is like itself, into the invisible, divine, immortal, and wise, and when it arrives there it is happy, freed from error and folly and fear . . . and all the other human ills, and . . . lives in truth through all after time with the gods.”-Phaedo, 80, D, E; 81, A. The Greeks did not originate the idea of an underworld full of suffering souls, for the Babylonians thought of “the nether world . . . as a place full of horrors, . . . presided over by gods and demons of great strength and fierceness.” (The Religion of Babylonia and Assyria) Yes, the Babylonians believed in the immortality of the soul. “Of all classical Greek philosophers, the one who has had the greatest influence on traditional views of Hell is Plato.”-Histoire des enfers (The History of Hell), by Georges Minois, page 50. “The soul that is sinning-it itself will die.” (Ezekiel 18:4) The dead “are conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5) If the soul dies and is unconscious, how could it suffer “eternal fire” or even the pain of everlasting separation from God? In the Bible, the Hebrew and Greek words often translated “hell” actually refer to the common grave of mankind. For example, when Job suffered a painful illness, he prayed: “I wish you would hide me in my grave [“in hell,” Douay-Rheims Version].” (Job 14:13, Holy Bible-Easy-to-Read Version) Job wanted to rest, not in a place of torment or alienation from God, but in the grave

"Furthermore, they built the high places of Baʹal in the Valley of the Son of Hinʹnom, in order to make their sons and their daughters pass through the fire to Moʹlech, something that I had not commanded them and that HAD NEVER COME INTO MY HEART TO DO SUCH A DETESTABLE THING, causing Judah to sin.’"
How could this verse have any meaning if Hell were a literal place of torment?

Have you stopped to think that on many other issues we have discussed (and where you haven't been able to provide an answer especially regarding the Men of Sodom and the identity of the FDS) these men in New York have got sooooo many things wrong ie
Armageddon was prophesied 7 times and they got it wrong 7 times over 125 years.
Sodom and Gomorrah 7 times the inhabitants would resurrected and then not resurrected
Jesus was not the the Archangel Michael and now He is.
Jesus was to be worshipped and now He is not.
Charles Russell was the FDS and now he is not

Shunning was an evil thing and now it is not.

I cannot find any passage to support worshipping 2 Gods.

a 100 Percent failure rate.

Place of Torment
Luke 16:23, in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, describes Hell as a “place of torment.” The rich man in the story is in agony and begs for even a drop of water to cool his tongue.
Colossians 1:16-18 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Job wanted to die. He knew that Hell, Sheol, the realm of the dead, the grave is just non-existence. He would not be suffering there...
So Jesus went to hell, Sheol, the realm of the dead, the grave too when he died. Some may say Jesus preached to the spirits in hell...but WHEN was that?
1 Peter 3:19 New International Version
*After being made alive,* he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits-
Jesus was dead/non existent for parts of 3 days. In that time he was in Hell...no thoughts, no suffering, just not alive (the opposite of death).
Would God torment people forever? Does the bible say that?
2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 King James Bible
7And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, *8In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction* from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
GOD'S WORD® Translation
They will pay the penalty by being *destroyed forever,* by being separated from the Lord's presence and from his glorious power.
**Jesus punishes people with everlasting....Destruction!! Not torment.**
If you burn something in fire it is practically beyond repair/restoration. That is the meaning...ones who are destroyed in this way are dead forever! They are not living to be tormented forever.
***God would NEVER torture people in fire...it goes against his personality.***
Jeremiah 19:5 New International Version
*They have built the high places of Baal to burn their children in the fire as offerings to Baal-something I did not command or mention, nor did it enter my mind.*
New Living Translation
*They have built pagan shrines to Baal, and there they burn their sons as sacrifices to Baal. I have never commanded such a horrible deed; it never even crossed my mind to command such a thing!*
According to the watchtower religion I don’t have to worry about an eternal punishment. So I have no fear of the god of the Kingdom Hall.
Could we state that the body is the barrel and the soul is the content, or the soul is the software and the body the hardware? And that our spirit rest in gods hand until resurrection, just like software is preserved in the cloud until it is retrieved?

@Mr. D. C. Exercising faith in Jesus is another wt term not in the Bible, only in their bible because their beliefs are different, hence a different bible. Jesus talks about hell. Lazarus and the rich man, for example.

While we were still his enemies Christ died for us.(Romans 5:8-10)
Also we must accept that there is a Hell.

Ezekiel 28:16 (MKJV): "I _destroy_ you, O covering cherub."
Ezekiel 28:19 (NRSV, LEB): "you shall _cease to exist_ forever."
How can a cherub spirit being cease to exist?
At 2 Peter 3:7 judgment is compared to destruction (Gr. apoleia).
And at Ezekiel 28:16,19 destroy means cease to exist. So judgment = destruction = cease to exist, even in spirit form.
According to God burning people is evil:
Jer 7:30-31 (NRSV): "For the people have done _evil_ in my sight...to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire."
So if burning people is evil, why would God do evil?
"God is unversed in evils" (James 1:13 NENT).
“For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before me, says the LORD, so shall your offspring and your name remain. From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the LORD. And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.” (Is. 66:22-24 ESV)
“The new heavens and the new earth” - This speaks of the eschaton when God makes the new heavens and the new earth, which will last forever.

2Pe 3:7 - The word απωλεια is used of the beast in Rev 17:11. 20:10 ESV)
Destruction for the beast means that he is "tormented day and night forever and ever." It does not mean to cease to exist.

Your organization rejects the doctrine of hell as unbiblical.
On the other hand, your organization propagates that all people who are still alive in Armageddon and are not members of your organization are condemned to eternal annihilation.
If Armageddon were to take place today, 8 billion people would be affected by this act of annihilation, including approximately 1.5 billion children aged 0-15 who, according to your organization's official teachings, cannot be admitted to baptism because of their young age.
On the other hand, your organization teaches that all people who "accidentally" died before Armageddon should have the possibility of resurrection and eternal life. This group includes former persecutors of Christians, robbers, criminals, idolaters, adulterers, fornicators, rapists, exploiters, atheists, former worshipers of Babylonian, Greek, Egyptian and Roman gods and their priestly classes. AND
Luke forgot to record this in the bible
OR
You are adding to the words of Jesus.
Your human reasoning states
"Do You Think A Man Who Repents On His Deathbed Is A Cinch For Eternal Life With Christ As A Child Of God? "
I take Christ at His promise to the thief. I believe every word that the Bible says Including what is recorded for Jesus including Luke 23:43
I hope one day you can too.
(1 Corinthians 15:23)
JW's know (As do SDA's and others) that Luke 23:43 more properly reads: "And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.”" (Note the position of the comma).

Jesus said
(KJV) Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
However I was still waiting on your reply to my previous question. I have taken the liberty to paste it here again for you
My main points were "... predicting Armageddon 7 times and getting it wrong every time.
From the earliest writings in the bible to the last book, worshipping anyone other that 1 God is strictly prohibited
“All creatures in heaven and earth shall worship Jesus as he worships the Father.
WT 8/15/1941, p. 252”
BUT THEN THIS
“God uses The Watch Tower to communicate to his people; IT DOES NOT CONSIST OF MEN’S OPINIONS. WT 1/1/1942, p. 5”
Final thought. If Jehovah is using the WT and it does not consist of men's opinions, why did Jehovah teach through the pages
of the WT to worship Jesus (another God) and why today after 1954 Jesus is a second God.
Jehovah says plainly There is One TRUE God: All other gods are false. Deuteronomy 4:35, 6:4, 10:14, Psalm 96:5, 97:9, Isaiah 43:10, 44:6-8, 44:24, 45:5-6, 45:21-23, 46:9, 48:11-12, John 17:3, 1 Timothy 2:5, Revelation 1:8,

The Thousand Years
20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit[a] and a heavy chain in his hand. 2 He seized the dragon-that old serpent, who is the devil, Satan-and bound him in chains for a thousand years. 3 The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he must be released for a little while.
4 Then I saw thrones, and the people sitting on them had been given the authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus and for proclaiming the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his statue, nor accepted his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They all came to life again, and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
5 This is the first resurrection. (The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years had ended.) 6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years.
The Defeat of Satan
7 When the thousand years come to an end, Satan will be let out of his prison. 8 He will go out to deceive the nations-called Gog and Magog-in every corner of the earth. He will gather them together for battle-a mighty army, as numberless as sand along the seashore. 9 And I saw them as they went up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded God’s people and the beloved city. But fire from heaven came down on the attacking armies and consumed them.
10 Then the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
The Final Judgment
11 And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. 12 I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave[b] gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. 14 Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. 15 And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

I agree with the JWs stance on this issue to an extent. I believe the Bible soes xonvey clearly that the final judgment will be with fire. But i see overall the consequence for sin is death from the very beginning. Jesus said to fear not man who can kill the body but can not touch the soul but to fear Him who can DESTROY soul and body in hell. Either one is an absolutely horrific fate. It is good to know the truth of what God says about life after death.

What happens to the Bible hell/hades according to Revelation 20:14? Clue. It’s the same thing that happens to death in the future.

Rev: 20:14 Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death.
it is about unbelievers you have to read the entire book of revelation not just that one
here is mreo for you to read please

And it is GE-HENNA (“G” as in “get”). There is NO “Y.”

The teaching about eternal death on hellfire was a false, the real eternal death means, those who died but not believing Jehovah will never be resurrected, they are forever dead as eternal dead, Mark, 12:26-27 , Jesus answered them with question, " Concerning the dead to be raised up?????????, You are very BIG MISTAKE", therefore the Lake of fire symbolized only to GRAVES where maggots does not die, and the fire that does not put out is the hotness below the ground comes from the earth's core, Mark, 9:44-49,
Unsaved don't have immortal souls, Adam and Eve were not allowed to eat from tree of life and become immortal.
“For the wages of sin is death,” Romans 6:23 tells us. The Bible is very clear; those who sin earn eternal punishment. The holiness of God is like a consuming fire, such that the impure can't stand in his presence and live (Hebrews 12:29, Exodus 33:20).
ALL we have to do is repent: Romans 10:9
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Very Simple)
2 Peter 3:10 says “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.”
There is a day coming where God will bring a final and complete judgment of sin. Not to get too deep into the descriptions of the events but here is a general timeline of what will happen:
Rapture of the church
Tribulation
Second Coming of Christ
Millennium (The thousand year reign of Christ on the earth)
Satan’s Final Judgment
The Great White Throne Judgment
The New Heaven and New Earth
After the completion of the Great White Throne Judgment, which is the judgment for all who have chosen to reject Christ, John mentions he saw the New Heaven and New Earth. So it appears that we will see this once the final judgment is completed.
When you look at 2 Peter 3:7, you see that God’s method of judgment on the earth and the way the old one will pass away is by fire.
Even an atheists spirit will go back to God who gave it. The spirit is not the soul.
The Bible states that only God is immortal 1 Timothy 6:16
God and Christ in the book of revelation state they are the beginning and the end and the alpha and omega.
Afterwards, they'll have to decide based on their "works" if they wish to continue living eternally with God or not.
exjw Devil-inspired Teaching
It was the Devil who told Eve: "You positively will not die." (Genesis 3:4; Revelation 12:9) But she did die; no part of her lived on.
Yeah, I don’t believe in purgatory either. Does the Bible mention a place or weeping and gnashing of teeth where the devil is thrown and where there’s a lake that burns forever?
@@LightoverDarkMinistry
Psalm 112:10 is instructive concerning the wicked's end in this regard. The verses just before it describe the final glory of God's people. Verse
10 then says: "The wicked man will see and be vexed, he will gnash his teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing." Gnash his teeth as he may, the wicked man's rage does him no good in the end. Even as he grinds his teeth, he comes to nothing (the KJV has "melt away"). Traditionalists make "gnashing of teeth" into conscious unending torment. The Bible pictures it as horrible rage, rage that is frustrated by the wicked's own inexorable destruction.

And how is Jesus gong to resurrect anyone on the last day if as one tries to make out, people are suffering in some hell fire?

The author of this video is saying one lie after another, to deny that hell and immortal soul are pagan doctrines is ridiculous, there is plenty of evidence to show that they are. Since he can't understand what is symbolic and what it literal he will NEVER have anything worthwhile to offer, his understanding is seriously flawed.
Hi! Author of the video here. What evidence do you have that they are pagan?
So you think the NT is pagan because it has some correspondence with hellenistic thought on eternal punishment. Have I summarized you accurately?
@@djparsons7363 So I was able to get this concept directly from scripture…so is the NT have pagan influence?
@@BasicBiblicalTruth No, you haven't. The NT is God's inspired word but the translators of the KJV put in the word "hell" in place of the original words meaning "grave". They are guilty of altering Scripture to promote a pagan lie, hell doesn't exist.
