Omg shut the hell up, it was the best scene in the walking dead. I was crying with him because it was so convincing, what the fuck are you talkingabout? 'Overacting' pls go home
Andrew Lincoln refrains from watching himself on projects like this until it is fully complete as a way of bettering his performance and making it "raw" so to speak without having it tainted by how it is portrayed on television. It is his own unique way of bringing his character to life without any sort of bias.
i understand him completely. i'm in high school and in drama, they videotape us when we do our shows. i have never been able to watch myself. it's really hard because you see all the mistakes you made and it's super embarrassing. i could never watch myself.
Bad example. As a musician, I'm constantly listening to what I've made, enjoying it, learning from it, improving it, and loving it some more. This is an entirely different case. This isn't a piece of work he's personally created on his own. This is an acting JOB that he's paid to do, and while he probably enjoys it, he never wrote the script, and didn't sculpt it himself.
In a few scenes you can see it, when Carl and Hershel are in the woods and come across the walker with no legs, you can see Hershel standing on two, and when the group is in the Library and Hershel says "Don't panic, we're going to figure this out." You can briefly see his other leg.
It's very hard for actors to watch themselves in their own work because they are always going to be super critical and not believe they did a good job which can affect their performance. Their own negative bias is impossible to overcome because all they will see are all the little things they did wrong or think they could have done better.
I wonder if Andrew Lincoln will ever be on Talking Dead in person. Since they had David Morrissey who like Andrew Lincoln is from England, I bet they'll eventually have him on the talk show in one of its episodes.
That's the thing with British and American actors, British actors are either AWFUL at American accents or AMAZING, and American actors are either AWFUL at British accents or AMAZING lol
He's not the only actor to not watch himself in movies or tv shows. A lot of actors don't watch themselves. Nothing new. Also he's performing the part. So he knows what's going on anyway. He don't need to watch it.
You'll be surprised how many actors and actresses don't watch their work. They don't want to feel self conscious about how they look, especially in The Walking Dead. You have to be in a state of mind where you have to give it your all and not care what you look like(:
You do realize The governor, Maggie and Morgan are British to, i don't know what the big deal is, there are hundreds of British actors in American movies and tv series we just have a lot of great actors.
i believe some actors have said it's hard to really enjoy the show when you've worked on it because it feels more like watching a complex home-movie as you know what was going on during the scene it helps to maintain the magic of the moment brilliant series !! LINCOLN is brilliant BRITS represent!!
TheSS601 He's said that he gets very insecure when watching himself, so that's probably why. He also knows what's going to happen, so there isn't much of a point.
Ibet that what they hear on the radio is a message from the community in DC and it egts them moving at the start of season five which will be on the rode
Well, it's too bad that lots of actors feel that way, i mean acting is an awesome thing to do, you guys shouldn't feel embarrassed because of mistakes. Mostly Lincoln, who does it really well.
he does it so it doesn't affect his performance. any actor who watches themselves sees flaws that aren't there, so he wants his performance to be raw and unaffected.
When it comes to making jokes, you need to know that there's a line between what is funny and what is disrespectful. I don't mind people making fun of my hair and I do it sometimes myself but the way you said it was just pushing the limits.
The acting he did in the scene when he found out lori died deserved a million oscars.
He was overacting in that scene. Still love Andy tho.
@@ms.bubs4fun506 it wasn't that great love him still
Omg shut the hell up, it was the best scene in the walking dead. I was crying with him because it was so convincing, what the fuck are you talkingabout? 'Overacting' pls go home
he's like the ultimate dilf
Omg yeesss

The most GORGEOUS man in the world. His personality, heart , humbleness & kindness makes him even sexier.
Andy is absolutely stunning! A gorgeous, charismatic, beautiful, sexy man!
He's such a fine specimen
So freaking gorgeous!
FUCKING THREE YEARS AGO, and people said It was out of nowhere.. where have u been???

Could listen to him talk ALL DAY, EVERY DAY. Fantastic actor.
Rick and Michonne? I'm glad they are doing what I was thinking, because I saw some chemistry last year, ready for season 4:)
"Never say never. There's always potential." These words have never sounded so sexy to me before. Love, love, love Andrew L.
I just love him as Rick Grimes... the walking dead is the best series on tv ever...
Just for one second, at 0:10, he has the Rick Grimes drawl when he says "Thank you." And then he goes full Benny Hill.
LMAO I love him! He is so sexy!
1:32 OH SHIT HE'S TURNING-
one of my few favorite actors! he's doing such a freakin amazing job!
Used to see him out and about a lot when he was in Bristol (England) when he was filming Teachers....Nice bloke
I have to keep watching interviews with Andrew to remind myself that he's English. He's just so damn convincing as an American on the show!
RICHONNEEEE
What a wonderful and insightful interview from both people. Excellent. Thanks.
i love how deep he goes into the character.
Andrew Lincoln ♥
I can listen to Andrew Lincoln talk ALL DAY. I love his accent.
His British accent ahhhhhhh
I could listen to this guy talk for hours.
He really nails the accent. I didnt even know he talked like this.
It's wierd that such a good actor doesn't watch the show just because he hates watching himself act, he so goooood!!!
Holy Shit! He called them zombies instead of walkers! Somebody fire this man!
Andrew Lincoln seems like a very likable genuine guy. Have never seen him outside of the "Walking Dead".
Awesome interview. Thanks a lot.
I watched this 1 million times
He is extremely well spoken
i understand him completely. i'm in high school and in drama, they videotape us when we do our shows. i have never been able to watch myself. it's really hard because you see all the mistakes you made and it's super embarrassing. i could never watch myself.
Andrew Lincoln is the best actor of all time. He portrays a father figure really well.
Dang Andy..... Whew! 😍😏😚😳
I can understand why he doesn't watch the show that he's in, it's like being a musician and listening to your own music.
Well you're one of the few.
psychowhite21 Actually, every musician I've ever known has been the same exact way.
Well aren't you just special.
Its very differnet things
3:01 Rick does scat
:D
LOL xD
This guy first caught my attention since I first watched Love actually all those years ago been a huge fan since then.

His voice is amazing
only 6 episodes in the trailer, and the trailer had enough in it for the entire season. This will be epic. Andrew Lincoln, you are the man!
It's very hard for actors to watch themselves in their own work because they are always going to be super critical and not believe they did a good job which can affect their performance. Their own negative bias is impossible to overcome because all they will see are all the little things they did wrong or think they could have done better.
Great interview, Andrew is the best.
Yay rick and michonne
WOW i was not expecting that when he talked lol
3:28 stop it and look at his face :)))
3:06 The death of Andrea causes Carl to be a sociopath? o.O I think he ment Lori.
lol, ikr. He can't even remember his tv wife's name.
Absolutely amazing actor!!
I wonder if Andrew Lincoln will ever be on Talking Dead in person. Since they had David Morrissey who like Andrew Lincoln is from England, I bet they'll eventually have him on the talk show in one of its episodes.
omg he's so hot
cant wait!! cannot stop watching the season 4 trailer its just too awesome
I literally just finished season 3 and I went to this.im so glad hershalls still alive. I really hope Glenn doesn't die like in the comics
Just realized he's in another series "Strike Back". Gonna check it out.
i never knew he was british until now.....
IKR?! And his western accent is so good!
That's the thing with British and American actors, British actors are either AWFUL at American accents or AMAZING, and American actors are either AWFUL at British accents or AMAZING lol
Yella Dart I don't know many American actors that are AMAZING at British accents.
Peter Dinklage is good but he isn't amazing. He drops a slight error here and there that's often noticed but besides that, he is good.
Hugh Laurie for me is untouchable but I'm not American so I can't truly tell..Also Damien Lewis is great
I'm so in live with Andrew. He's the most amazing, down to earth, sexiest of all the cast & characters.
Source? I don't remember seeing hersel just chillin with 2 legs in the trailer?
wow i didnt know he was english, another great talent from the uk
Whatttt...1st time hearing him speak in his language, awesome!
He's not the only actor to not watch himself in movies or tv shows. A lot of actors don't watch themselves. Nothing new. Also he's performing the part. So he knows what's going on anyway. He don't need to watch it.
I did not know about his accent... That makes him even better :O
just 1 question .. why does Hershal have 2 legs in season 4 ?? did rick buil some mechanical leg or sometin..?
His accent shows how a good of a actor he is
UGH i can't wait for TWD and Andrew is just amazing actor.
I believe he said once that he doesn't want his perception of his work to influence his future performances.
it is Andrew Clutterbuck! get your facts right!
Andrew Clusterfuck?
his stage name is Andrew Lincoln
It is a pleasure for me to listen to you andrew!
You'll be surprised how many actors and actresses don't watch their work. They don't want to feel self conscious about how they look, especially in The Walking Dead. You have to be in a state of mind where you have to give it your all and not care what you look like(:
OMG!!! Andrew is AMAZING!!!
Did he just say he doesn't watch the shows?!?
You do realize The governor, Maggie and Morgan are British to, i don't know what the big deal is, there are hundreds of British actors in American movies and tv series we just have a lot of great actors.
Richonne shipper!
1:32 he does his walker impression.
This moring I had a dream of Rick fighting walkers, so exciting and I cant stop thinking about it. I adore this character so much!
such a great actor
so in about 5 years from now he's going to watch all 7 or 8 seasons persay? Or do you mean he watches each episode after each individual season?
I really don't understan that some actors and actresses don't watch their work, i wonder why?
I'd find it difficult to get myself absorbed in a show if my peers and I happened to work on it.
i believe some actors have said it's hard to really enjoy the show when you've worked on it because it feels more like watching a complex home-movie as you know what was going on during the scene it helps to maintain the magic of the moment brilliant series !! LINCOLN is brilliant BRITS represent!!
it can be difficult to watch yourself
TheSS601 He's said that he gets very insecure when watching himself, so that's probably why. He also knows what's going to happen, so there isn't much of a point.
I can imagine it would make it harder for them to do their work, giving you some sort of complex, second guessing
In the comics someone gets a wooden prop when their leg is missing, i'm geussing it's the same thing.
Andrew is a great actor!!!! Love him!
Mostly Lincoln, who does it really well.
he kinda sounds like david gahan in depeche mode
How do you think he feels? He only found out yesterday ;)
he does it so it doesn't affect his performance. any actor who watches themselves sees flaws that aren't there, so he wants his performance to be raw and unaffected.
I can't believe he's English! Haha!
david morrissey (the governor) is british too,
as is lennie james (morgan)
swen van baak and Lauren Cohan (Maggie)
swen van baak *English.
ANDREW LINCOLN ROCKS!
he played a teacher in a british comedy called teachers - give it a watch!
He is the lead cast member but he doesn't watch the show?
am i the only one who forgets this dude is british? incredible actor
Happy birthday Andrew Lincoln!! :3
His accent in the series is amazing acting in itself cause he is britisch.

He looks older than he was in the first season, wow !
His voice :O

When it comes to making jokes, you need to know that there's a line between what is funny and what is disrespectful. I don't mind people making fun of my hair and I do it sometimes myself but the way you said it was just pushing the limits.
"the fear of losing limbs or lives in this show" wave goodbye to ricks hand everyone
