In CA the price is reduced by $9000 ($7500 fed $1500 state) and many states even more. At $32,000 to $36,000 well equipped it is priced very well. Add another 3 years of free charging and the net cost to own is even lower. I have a Tesla model 3 long range awd and it gets about 260-280 miles real world range. The id.4 in slate gray will be our 2nd EV.
@HR in CA also and own bought a Tesla M3SR+ after trying to get a RAV4 prime. Love the car but do not love the company. With Tesla raising their prices and locking you in on maintenance, I decided to buy another brand of EV for our next car. The price is for the Pro about $42,000+ and Pro S for $47,000 before any tax savings. Just placed reservation but delivery will be in 6-12 months :-(. I was happy just to be able to reserve a car unlike the japanese card makers. We am definitely a former toyota car family. Oh, our standard range gets 180 miles on a 80% charge.
Tom is a true professional, but how honest and objective can he be, when he is paid by the manufacturers to test a car ? Sorry I love you TOM and the way you do your job, but it is a job is it not ? Let us face reality. Journalism is not done in the way it used be years past. The entire press is loaded with "Fake News" and so are all TV channels news network especially CNN. No one that likes to get objective reporting will never watch. But the NYT is no different so committed to a single leftist party and it has written articles and still does so saturated with leftist rhetoric, that has discouraged most readers, especially those that like to get the strait facts, which believe it or not are the vast majority of us. I mean there are not many dumb people around, please do not offend our intelligence, it does not work, nor now or ever, get us the facts. as truly crude as they are, and give us the privilege to form our opinion, as the vast majority of us hates to read an article colored with different shades of truth.
I own an ID.4-- it is the first "brand new car" I have purchased over close to 30 years of owning cars. Here is why; Electric, drives like a dream, not like a maniac (so, if my teenage sons were driving it, I wouldn't need to worry about losing a child or a car, or both), free HS charging for 3 years (wort $12,000 to me, I drive a lot-- like 40k miles a year), zero maint cost first two years, battery insured first six years, $7.5k tax credit, soon likely to be make $10k. It carries five adults comfortably.
It would be very interesting to see what kind of battery degradation there is after that much driving over say a 3 year period, and presumably a ton of DC fast charging.
@@rogerstarkey5390 The issue is...Tesla Björn measured the front and it is 30cm shorter than Model 3...and this was planned. This means you have a car of 4.58m and room of a car with 4.88...and no frunk. No big deal in US, since all cars are large...but in Europe each cm helps to find a parking lot more easy. An EV is about 30% shorter with same internal size of an ICE...if you really construct it as EV...and avoid a not needed frunk.
You better, you paid a bundle, with a known software problem, grossly under performing, and with a driving range much less than the advertised one, if you floor it in the Autobahn, you will not even drive over 200 KM. with the original charge. Yea, you better enjoy it, but only very slowly, now better watch those big trucks, most drive faster than you ,and believe me it is not very comfortable having one behind looming a few inches away from your rear bumper. An electric car without power is nothing else than a glorified Go Cart. By the way good Luck, but next time shop around, because this time you bought half a car for a full price.

Unfortunately, all corporations lie all the time, and are only limited by litigation. They don't give a fuck about you or your health. For example, Pfizer says their death jabs are "95%" effective and safe, and nothing could be farther from the truth. Monsanto says Roundup is safe for humans, yet there are over 40.000 lawsuits from victims with cancer. Cigaratte companies knew about lung cancer years before lawsuits began.

Very nice review! Thank you! About one red light remark: the charging speed of the mentioned 125 kW will be upgraded to 150 this summer and to 170 next winter by an over the air software update.
Thanks for the informative and entertaining reviews over the many years that I've been subscribed. Quality was never low but you've managed to improve your production year over year in quite a few areas as well.
Tried using your quote service for other EVs here in California its not able to get me a good price. Dealer greed is strong here. Love you reviews and your now my main car reviewers of choice. Just placed a reservation for an ID4. Its not perfect but waiting for perfection will leave you looking forever.
Love the design! I’m ok with it being slower than a Model 3 or Mach-e. It’s a utilitarian vehicle, to me it doesn’t need to perform like a Porsche, I want confort, practicality and safety.
Great review as usual and I really appreciate the red light-green light in this case. I'm looking hard at this and probably going to campaign for it in the family here; we have a Tesla 3 LR with various problems and while the problems themselves don't upset me, Tesla's really arrogant and cynical treatment of us really really does. We're likely suing for lost value if not a full replacement and I'm waiting to see how the ID4 in AWD + Canada trim does later this year, with the thought of replacing. I used to own a TDI Golf and the VW customer service and approach - I miss it. Of course I really wish we could afford the Taycan station wagon or that Volvo would offer a performance e-wagon. Thanks again.
Tom is such a likable guy. I love his take/reviews on cars. Not a fan of mid-sized but this looks way better than the Y. But that's not hard seeing that we've been seeing the same looking car from Tesla since the S dropped in 2012. The X is a fatter S, the 3 is a smaller S and the Y is a bloated 3.
We just got delivery of our ID 4 . Really like it so far. The voice recognition is not working as effectively as we had hoped. I agree with some reviewers, buttons would be better on some of the ac controls and the window operation switch between front and rear is odd. Minor things. Overall seems like a great vehicle. We shall see. Only driven about 200 miles so far.
@@bsmith273 I'm not sure if you have actually used the Electrify America network, but I have driven a Chevrolet Bolt EV between Olympia, and Tucson AZ twice using EA exclusively. I have had no issues at all. Tesla of course has the lead in charging, but that lead is shrinking fast. It will be good for all of us early adopters.
@@1derecks EA is a joke they don’t work and once the vw and government money runs out the price with skyrocket to charge.. I’m glad Ford and vw are selling ev I’m 100% convinced they will help sell Tesla when they see how easy it is to charge them compared to what they have available to them
They can hate all they want. VW owns pretty much every European car brand under the sun besides Ferrari and Mclaren and a few others. VW is the Largest Car maker in the world. Bugatti+ Porsche + Lamborghini +Audi + Bentley + Skoda + Seat + Cupra + Scania + Ducati + Man = VW
Tom - I love your reviews! You do a fantastic all-around job in every vehicle you share. In this review, you spoke to me about my apprehension about VW but after test driving the ID4 and considering all the factors, I ended up going with the same 1st Edition spec you tested and couldn’t be happier. It’s only been a week with it but I’ve connected with this car just as much as I did with my Model 3. Keep up the awesome videos!!!
I’ll disagree on the charging curve, 124 kw is very decent since it will hold the charging curve to 80% better than most. Chevy will continue to insult customers with their limited charging speeds and poor curve
ID4 owner here. I agree about the charging door location. Center front would be even better. The car connect app could use some work. A hint about charging at EA stations and using the 3 free years of charging, always use the EA app to initiate charging. On charging always carry an umbrella judging by my charging experience today.
Good review, as an owner there are few things I’d like to add. First mine is the Chinese version 1st edition. So it might be different than the US. the AR HUD is a must have which include in my package, it’s just awesome, NO need to look at the dash for speed, ACC with displays to the car in front. Lane assist displays and the turn signals when you navigate with infotainment system (except it doesn’t work with CarPlay or androids), the ID Light under windshield is also nice. It will lid up red light warning ( too close to front, auto brake), blue turn signals ( when Navi), green ( phone access) and white( voice controls on). Well the infotainment system is laggy, when CarPlay is connected it’s even worse, hope there will be OTA, the windshield wiper nozzle/pump response very slow, the fluid takes 2-3 seconds. The reverse auto tilt side mirror doesn’t seems to work/ bug. The lane assist need to be manually turn off every damn time when restart the car, ok it might be a safety feature cos the steering wheel won’t pull you back if you did use turn signal switch before changing lane. But I find it annoying where there were no cars around me.
Terrific review Tom. Fantastic journalism here as always. Long time VW buyer (current Honda owner now, post TDI debacle) and EV lurker so this review was very interesting for me. VW has priced even the awd version of this very aggressively in Canada to qualify for Federal and some Provincial Subsidies. Thanks for highlighting the weak rural EV charging options too (same story in Canada, but hopefully not for too much longer).
I test drove an ID4 in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle and was shocked at how well it went over crummy streets and how tight it turned around corners. I liked it way more than I thought I would. It's essentially the EV equivalent of a Subaru Outback in size, shape, performance and functionality (esp when AWD is available).
Watched again as I get closers to needing a full EV to go with my RAV4 PHEV (which is great!). Great review again! As for your friends pissed at the diesel scandal thing, try to find a car company who has not been involved in a scandal involving either killing people (see Pinto), or lying to customers about efficiency (see Subaru and Hyundai!). They’ve all had their issues. At least this one is turning into something positive…and negative (sorry, couldn’t resist!)….
Totally agree! Unfortunately, our fellow Americans love big cars too much.
3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
How can a car this size be "too big"? Teslas, sure, they ARE big and can have trouble parking etc. The ID.4 doesn't (Externally) look big at all in my opinion.
I know a lot of reviewers have complained about the driver's window controls; but as someone who accidentally puts the rear windows down all the time-- I kinda like VW's idea.
And I learned from other reviewers, that pressing and hold the Rear-Button opens and closes all 4 Windows the same time...nice feature. Out of topic...pressing the + and - for Temperature the same time with two fingers changes seat heating directly...no need to open a menu for this.
Great car! I'm a very happy Tesla M3 owner, but am excited every time the traditional car companies make progress on EV's, contrary to the idea we Telsa owners throw shade on any other option. I've seen an ID4 out and about- IMO it's the best looking VW on the market in the US these days. I absolutely love it. Two concerns: 1) I just wish the real-world range was 300+- i really do use the range in mine frequently, and 2- I've read elsewhere the tech is just not very good- I rely on my Tesla's intellgence to route me to Superchargers on longer trips, and I've read the VW software is not only not up to Tesla standards, but is actually bad, inaccurate and not intelligent. VW themselves have said the software engineering needs for the car exceeded their expectations and know they need to get better. I hope over the air updates help. Great review, Tom. Thank you..
Tesla has had 10 years to get the software to where it is today. Since all modules in the car can be updated OTA (not just the infotainment screen), I'm guessing in a couple of years things will be vastly improved. At the same time, as one reviewer likes to point out, never buy a car based on the promise of future upgrades -- don't buy the car if you can't live with it currently. For me, the fact that it has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (which Tesla lacks) makes up for the weakness of the navigation, since you can just use Google or Apple Maps.
@@davidnielson9139 Id' love nothing more than better/more intuitive engagement in the VW - but VW themselves have said, when benchmarking themselves against Tesla, That Tesla came from a software-first development path for the S/X/3, whereas VW themselves say they're great at building /engineering cars not software. Hopefully that will change.
The next update is coming out in summer so you can see then. I've followed some ID.3 channels and the software is ahead of what I've ever had before so I should think that will be true for a lot of people. As for range - well you're an early adopter and perhaps you took on the extra cost of an EV because your mileage allows you to save a lot more. I, for example, would take many years to pay for that extra cost - so for me a long range EV would be a poor investment.
True! I’m always hopeful. You’re right they’re still quite pricey. My M3’s running and maintenance costs are so low it’s a pleasure to own but not everyone can spend $50k for a car.
On the plus side, wireless Carplay works effortlessly for me in my ID.4, so Google's superior maps and apps like A Better Route Planner can be used while driving.
Great review for me. Most reviewers think car buyers are hipster millennials or something. I’m not going to do any drag racing, and need a commuter car that also works for my family. You shared the little details many people missed. Loved the u turn. I only wish you could talk more about the Pro model. Seems like all car reviews always look at the top of the line models, and not the entry level.
I have the Pro. Don’t mias the glass roof here in Florida at all. Couple of minor differences but overall I love it. We also have a Model 3. The ID4 is not as quick but at the end I don’t need super fast acceleration. The ID4 actually drives softer than the stiff suspension of the Model 3.
@@williamerazo3921 The proposition is simple, if it can’t fuel up quickly like today’s cars (5min or less to full) then it’s slow. If this was a gas powered car, it would be considered ridiculous in terms of efficiency. But, in the EV world it’s considered good. Just goes to show how it’s still in it’s infancy stage is all. Maybe in another 10 to 15 years it could get better.
I had the battery charging slowing as it filled best explained to me as: picture filling a stadium with general admission seats. People just take any seats when they are empty, but as it fills up its harder and harder to find an open seat

Nice overview. Until actual ownership, one will not be able to fully experience the subtle design elements of the ID.4 1st Ed. I received my car a week ago and am still finding new things that pleasantly surprise me. This is my first VW and the fourth EV (Leaf, ELR, 2 i3's). Overall the ID.4 is a fantastic urban vehicle - better than average handling (rear drive), comfortable, excellent visibility, and surefooted (20" staggered wheels/tires). I consistently get more than 280 miles per full charge. There's an odd thing about the battery range often showing over 380 miles after a full charge. VW dealer responded that it's normal?! I disagree... VW's software engineers need to do a better job. An exaggerated range will harm a driver's confidence on the actual performance. BMW's i3 does a great job on managing range. The ID.4 however has lots of positive points. The only negative comments I have are the cheap plastic surfaces - dash and trim and the lack of homelink. For a $45K car, VW should offer better materials than inexpensive plastics which really take away the premium sensations you get from the lighting designs - ID.Lights, as they shine on plastic surfaces! Setting that aside, If you want homelink, you'll have to buy another $280 rearview mirror to be installed by a dealer at $135. It may be fine in the EU, but most premium car owners in the U.S. have garages and community gates to deal with. If you can overlook these 2 negative elements, it's an exceptionally good EV at $45K ($38K after Fed incentives). IMHO: a best-in-class value overall.
I’ve seen you recently made a note on reliability concerning the Range Rover so in that vein you may want to point out that the $7500 federal is a TAX CREDIT. If you can’t manipulate your federal tax deduction or sell enough securities to incur that amount of tax you can’t get the reward. The $2500 that Oregon hands out is cash; plus if you have a low enough income in Oregon you can be rewarded with another $2500.
Thanks, Tom. Don’t knock 125 kW because I have observed it will get 5 to 80% in 38 minutes. The Bolt EV will take over 70 minutes for the same SoC range. EV infrastructure is no longer an issue in most metro and many rural areas and will only get better rapidly.
@@seanholdom9739 We'll see what the Ionic 5 is like in the US. If it is like other Hyundai EVs, you'll only be able to buy it in California and a couple of other states. Also, it appears as if it may cost 60K (based on UK pricing), so a much more expensive vehicle.
Thanks Tom, great review. My experience with VW was a manual transmission that conked out after 4 years of highway miles and a car with tons of electrical problems that were uber expensive to find and fix. May have to wait a while to see how electric vehicle and VW go together ...
@@B-rad1 USA, witch I presume you are from, must get some peculiar versions of the VW. The wrecking yard around here, one of the biggest in this country, VW is one of the brands with the highest mileage cars at the end of their life cycle, along with nineties Mercedes and a few Toyotas.

Really? Generally, parking should be very safe--no rush, things happen at slow speeds, plenty of time to ensure you're moving in a safe direction. If your vehicle is relatively recent, you probably have tech like a backup camera, rear traffic alert, etc. Parking maneuvers should be safe as houses.
Excellent review. I'm really glad to see options in the EV market.I'll be in the market in 2 years (have two weddings to pay for in 2022) so it's great to see EV's like the Mach E, the ID.4, E-Trons and the soon to come Ioniq5 and Kia EV6. For everyday driving/commuting most EVs would be a great choice but it seems to me that even at this point in the EV evolution if you're road tripping the Tesla still has the upper hand by a long shot. The Supercharger infrastructure is better and the built in trip planner is also better. I've seen many videos, particularly of the Mach E where the built in route planner takes you to a level 2 charger for a 7 hour stop, on a road trip. Really? Yikes. Having said all that the charging network is improving and the software stuff can be fixed so things are looking bright for the EV future. Thanks for the video.

Nice review, though weird watching it and seeing my house go by in the background. VW looks like they did a good job on the ID.4. I drove this, it BLOWS my Tesla out of the water when it comes to build quality. This is as tight as a drum and VW solid. Even closing the doors feels like closing a bank vault. Closing my Tesla Model Y door is like dropping the lid on my recycling bin. Cant get rid of it fast enough but Im waiting for the AWD version of the ID.4 or Q4 (same platform).
Thank you for your hardwork and dedication in posting these high quality videos. Something you said got me wondering. At 15:02, you mention and John Voelker. And your name is Tom Voelk. Currently I am (Vancouver Ca native) in Germany working for Bosch. In Germany the letter ö is spelled on English keyboards as oe. Völk and Völker look like German surnames in which case the V would be pronounced as an F. So was there ever a family discussion as to if it was at some point pronouced F and then changed to being pronunced as V just to avoid the hassle of correcting people. Those are my head thoughts.
Thanks, good review, we are now being spoiled for choice. The Mach e and the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq are also pushing boundaries, only downside, they are so expensive. Disclosure,I have ordered an EV6, well I have to spend the kids inheritance.
There are two things to add about the 125 kW charging speed. First, the charging "curve" is very fast -- as was stated, from 5% to 80% in 38 minutes (verified by reviewers), and about 50 min to 100%. Compare this to a Mustang Mach E, which is around an hour to 80% and a couple of hours to 100% (slows down to under 20 kW from 80 to 100%. Second, from what VW America seems to have stated, the 125kW charging is limited by software to protect the battery, the charger in the car is capable of doing 150 kW; they have said they are looking at unlocking the full 150kW speeds. Also, VW corporate has stated that they are looking at putting a 170kW charger in future ID.4s.
All that is true. But the company does 150kW in e-tron with a similar curve that's faster. And throttling after 80% is pretty standard. I could go deep in the weeds with charging but it's better for a written article, I don't have visuals to support it. I try to touch on the more important stuff. I can only judge what VW is doing now, not what ifs.
ID.4 does not have a one pedal drive system, putting it in B mode gives you regenerative braking but does not bring you to a complete stop as the car slows down, you do have to press the break to come to a stop.
Tom, at 2:24 you said the subsequent models would get a 10 mile bump. If Id 4 @ 201HP is EPA rated for 250 miles, how would a 300 HP for ID.4 Pro AWD would give a 10 mile bump?. Logically speaking with the same battery pack, AWD should be less range. Please help me understand. Enjoyed watching your video.
I'm talking about ID.4s other than the 1st Edition and those would be rear drive. I'm assuming that AWD models will have lower range since it only makes sense. Sorry for the confusion.
Thxs Tom, as usual comprehensive presentation and Nice vehicle 👍 Regarding rear Plug-in location: Maybe VW finds it safer to back ur EV into an empty recharge space rather than, upon recharge completion, backing into a potentially busy parking lot or station. 🤷🏻
I'm just wondering how the range is affected when cruising 70 mph on the interstate. I HAD an e-Golf 2016 Premium but the range sucked and it was worse on the interstate. Or autobahn in Germany for that matter. And most important of all, how is the efficiency of the range compare to Tesla, Hyundai, Kia, when driving top speed --- how fast does the range DROP. That makes a difference.
Backing into a parking spot is the safest way. So in my opinion the right flank is a safety feature. It is why you will note that many commercial companies require their drivers to back in. So if you have trouble backing in maybe you should be taking a safety course to learn how to drive.
Part of my point was that the charge port is not on the driver's side, some manufactures change the port to the driver's side depending on the market. It's a convenience. There are lots of safe ways to get into a parking spot, just depends on the situation. A few months ago I watched someone in the Safeway lot get rear ended when another driver didn't understand they were backing into a spot.
I have a year and a half left on my curent lease and my next car will be an ev. I like the Mustang Mach e but the VW ID.4 is a compelling competitor. I'd like a car that gets 300 miles minimum. Does anyone know if VW has an update in the works that will achieve the 300 mark?
The main thing that is stopping me from buying this is charging infrastructure. I live in a major city and there are absolutely no charging stations by my home or work. I turned my garage into a gym so I can't use that for my car. I guess once a week I would have to drive way out of my way and then sit there in my car for an extended amount of time while it charges? I think every gas station should have a couple of these.
Excellent review Tom, you forgot to mention the ground clearance of 8.2" (Tesla's Y is 6.6" while MachE is only 5.0") My twin (in reality) is considering the id.4, Hyundai Ioniq 5 or the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Blue to replace his Toyota Prius. The Tesla is just too expensive and only one information screen?

I was planning on buying an ID4 late this year, but I just read an article from Clean Technica that Texas has a bill 1728 in the state Senate that has EV owners pay around $200 tax plus a minimum $150 extra if you drive over 9,000 miles per year. The article says that it can cost up to $400+ per year for just to own an EV. The bill is a "fairness" bill to ensure that EV owners are billed for the gasoline tax they are not paying at the pump.
@@DrivenCarReviews Around $400 every year is no small tax. Especially considering that it's supposedly to make EV owners pay their "fair share" of gas taxes into infrastructure. My '16 Malibu premier would only contribute around $130 per year in gas taxes. That is a far cry from $250 to $400+ for the same miles.
@@nobreyner60 in Oregon I pay more to register my e-Golf then I do for our gas car. Same reason to make up for the gas tax we don’t pay. I did not know that when I bought the car. The dealer should tell people. Granted it is a little less then $200 difference it still sucks lol
I bet a lot of people that said they wouldn’t ever buy a Volkswagen wouldn’t buy one anyways before the scandal. I had a diesel covered by the scandal and was about a year to paying off the car when the scandal happened. While I am upset of loosing that car and the equity, I’d still buy another Volkswagen.
You must be kidding, VW people are very bright. On paper they advertise a 400 KM plus driving range, but in reality if you drive over 110 KMH watch that range drop in the 200 some, very fast. But this time are not lying, for in reality if you are very gentle on the throttle and you keep a constant speed well below 100 KMH in optimal weather conditions and without wind you could just top the 400 KM range. But you will have to be very patient, and very disciplined. Frankly I don't know many Germans that gentle on the acceleration pedal.
So glad that we got more selection coming up. We are behind China and Europe for a long time in consumer choice and had made Tsla the only choice for a long time.
Hello Tom, how is the view through the rear window? About 7 years ago I test drove a Mazda C7 or C9 and it had such a dinky rear window and with three big rear seat headrests, the rear view was horrible. So I'm curious to know if its a similar situation with the ID.4. Excellent review as usual by the way.

Really? Yikes. How is the seating hight? Is it easy to get in and out of for a older person?
Great video, had my 1st Edition for a week, I like it but the touch screen is so complicated. Very comfortable, lots of room all round.
I love the lines inside and out.
Every car is good when it’s new. My Lexus is 5 years old without one issue. We’ll see how the VW is after 5 years.
There are only so many moving parts on electric vehicle, way less failure points than a combustiob
Quality review! Much value!
Lol the EPA scandal made me more likely to buy a VW if anything. Screw the EPA.
Great review, interesting to see which reviewers like this vehicle and which don’t.
Tom you and Alex from Alex Autos are my favorite Auto Journalist & a video with you both would be great!
US folks buying new vehicles without checking both channels lose big time!
@@mtumasz I agree
ID.4 does not have a one pedal drive system, putting it in B mode gives you regenerative braking but does not bring you to a complete stop as the car slows down, you do have to press the break to come to a stop.
Vegan leather is soft and durable. Hoping to see all manufacturers moving in that direction.
If we are going to eat the cows, pigs, and sheep it is best not to waste their hides.
Thxs Tom, as usual comprehensive presentation and Nice vehicle 👍
Regarding rear Plug-in location: Maybe VW finds it safer to back ur EV into an empty recharge space
rather than, upon recharge completion, backing into a potentially busy parking lot or station.
It's always going to be lower at high freeways speeds. Unlike ICE cars, EVs suffer at highway speeds.
Based on gas prices lately it seems the oil companies want us to go electric too. LOL
Because electric prices will be on the rise when this really takes off, they will say it's because of all the people using electricity.
I have a year and a half left on my curent lease and my next car will be an ev. I like the Mustang Mach e but the VW ID.4 is a compelling competitor. I'd like a car that gets 300 miles minimum. Does anyone know if VW has an update in the works that will achieve the 300 mark?
Good morning Tom!
"Volkswagen is true to its word on range".....Words rarely seen together in the same sentence!!!!!
Good review.
Several reviewers disagree.
Good review, good quality video. I am interested in this car
Thank you for the Public Service announcement at the end.
Get vaxxed then live life as normal. It's awesome.
Excellent review Tom, you forgot to mention the ground clearance of 8.2" (Tesla's Y is 6.6" while MachE is only 5.0")
My twin (in reality) is considering the id.4, Hyundai Ioniq 5 or the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Blue to replace his Toyota Prius. The Tesla is just too expensive and only one information screen?
Another good one Tom..have driven older bimmer with the straight six...almost orgasmic..The ABS system stops like an elevator in the Empire State Building
This channel was recommend to me by TH-cam! Great channel! You got a new sub!
Nicely done review. Thanks.
Hi Tom,
Relatively new subscriber; just saw the two ID.4 reviews. Seeing a slightly discounted 22 ID.4 Pro near home (Upstate NY, just S of central Lake Ontario). The RWD base Pro is NY point of sale rebate eligible, making it just inside my affordable range.
Thanks for the look at both 1st Ed RWD and AWD in more recent video. Time for a test drive! Thanks again!
Slightly discounted? Not easy to find that these days. best of luck out there.
Best ID4 review yet!
What is it’s range with the heater on and outside temperatures of 15 degrees Fahrenheit?
Another great video. Thanks Tom.
Fight your government. Also, a small tax like that is stopping you from spending $35K for a car?
Now with this car, Volkswagen has no need to cheat on emissions testing!
@@sat7755 you didn't get what he said
@@sat7755 At 110 km/h and good weather conditions the car consumes 170 Wh per km for a range of about 450 km.
So glad that we got more selection coming up. We are behind China and Europe for a long time in consumer choice and had made Tsla the only choice for a long time.
The Ioniq5 and EV6 will charge at 800 watts, way faster than most competitors, but there are few chargers that can feed them so far.
800 volts, not watts.
Great review.
I don't remember the backlight being an issue but obviously you'll need to drive it Vin
