Sometimes no deal is better than a horrible deal. This kind of lopsided deal just endangers Americans overseas and makes future deals even harder to broker on favorable (or even fair) terms to us. And, let us remember, Miss Griner was in a Russian jail due to her own stupidity. She bears some responsibility for this. That should factor into these deals and how quickly we rush to make them.
