It's easier to line up plowing with the steering on the right side, but this setup was started long before tractors were used to pull a plow. Steam traction engines generally had the belt wheel on the right, and lining up in the belt worked better if the steering was on the same side. You will hear folks complain about engines with the steering and belt wheel on opposite sides! I have read that Ford moved the steering to the left side because it made stopping and visiting with oncoming drivers easier; don't know if that's the real reason, but it makes sense. Ford drove his cars, so his opinions were shaped by experience.
And I thought transverse engines were something new when they appeared on the Mini in the late 1950's! The driving position must have been hot & & laden with fumes being so close to the engine. Also I notice the right hand steering wheel, any special reason for this when road vehicles would have a left hand drive?

Both nice old Case tractors. The 25-45 is also very nice.
Great restoration. Here we see the beginnings of the move by manufacturers from the big flywheel era to a more modern, smaller and lighter tractor.
I got the same magneto as that case tractor i use it as bookend to hold my books in place

Kinda nice when they under rated engines instead of the garbage they pull now.
