Thank you so much. I have a fairly new washer and I used it about 2 years ago. I went to use it about a week ago and it was all locked up. So I did some research and bought another unloader valve and it started working again. But I didn’t know what I was doing. I probably didn’t release the pressure in the pump when I put it away. But your tips got me in the right direction. Never start the engine without attaching the garden hose. Purge the garden hose for debris. When done turn off motor and release pressure in the line. If you use detergent clear all detergent after use. Maybe stick the tube in some clean water. Also watch where you point that thing. Safety glasses. Thanks.
I have a Simpson GX200. Question 1. Is it required to always have a water supply on even though I am using the soap cycle? 2. I love the setup you have with that ball valve and recirt line, how could I have that done, my washer is different from the one you have.
Hey Stanley.. You still should Always have the water turned on and be sure the hoses are clear before you start and while you run a gas pressure washer. Now I assume with a GX200 you may have a Screw On Hose End mr22 fitting? Or do you have the Quick Connect ends like in the video? The reason being its simple to set your machine up this way. I just need to know which parts to send you in the kit.
@@stanleyhenry3700 I can send you a kit for ball valve and dump line. Simple adapter from(screw-on to quick connect) so you can use the ball valve and swap kit for your Gun/wand. Please email me at cs@uspressure.com so I can send you options and a quote.. Thanks
hi, I just love the videos they are so helpful. i have a quick question you say there should always be water feed to the machine before start-up what about if i'm using a water butt
Hello Keith1958, Sorry we missed this question. We are gearing up to relaunch after 2 years in the Lab. Let me explain it this way. 2 Reasons you should always have water flowing to the machine. !. WHne you start the machine you want water instead of Air Gap because the power of the pum p ityself could hurt something without water cushion so to speak. 2. Another way to say it is AIR = BAD because like a submarine it cna cavitate AKA shake things lose.... Water = Good because it can prevent ALL of the above. If that makes sense to you.
My pressure washer has a male adaptor and my wand has a female adaptor. I purchased the same pavement washer you had in the video and it came with a male adaptor. I had to make a double female adaptor. I want to know when you get your supplies do you attach your adaptors or do the already come with them.
I have made a habit of starting at the machine with a female Quick Connect Socket and simply changing any that are needed on ALL my attachments. They are threaded and we sell them 1 piece or the male and female 2 pack. Setting your machine up this way allows for fast attachment changes on the go.
I have a smaller Pressure-Pro model. They say the pump has a thermo-sensor that will activate if the water in the pump becomes too hot. In reality, will the pump sustain damage if the water gets hot enough for this sensor to activate? I never run mine more than 30 seconds or so without squeezing the trigger, but I'm curious about the effectiveness of that sensor. I guess you don't trust it much, hence the "dump hose" set-up you have. Thank you.
You are correct. I do NOT trust it because by the time it pops it's usually too late. If it didnt blow the pump it most likely did damage and it will pop. I used to count to 30 as well, as soon as I let go of the trigger I would begin. However, this set up fixed the problem. no more counting required. We built these specifically because many random people would be using it and it was the best way (on the fly) to keep the pumps healthy. I appreciate the question. I will say that you hit it on the head 100%.

Well actually these ship with oil in the pump and engine. They have a sealed plug in each. When you unpack them you will find both dip sticks that will replace the plug in pump and engine
The original machines from this video were delivered by the manufacturer to our warehouse. So they did have oil in them. I imagine if you had it shipped to you they may of came dry though.
