I know Minecraft likes to create hype around updates sometimes, but I wish they wouldn’t promise or show off too many features and updates so soon. I like the surprise and curiosity behind the updates, and teasing us with glimpses of solidified features, not potential features.
The executed that really well with the Deep Dark, I hope they keep that style of reveal up.
Exactly. The warden was suppose to be in the caves update, but got pushed into this one, and the sprucing up biomes like the Birch Forrest ended up getting cut. Fireflies could’ve just been an ambient effect rather than getting scrapped altogether. Pretty much the only thing I’m looking forward to are the Allays, just hoping they work and aren’t buggy.

@@conflictt3224 In fairness to those who are complaining, a vocal minority I think, I can see how it is a tad misleading. This is called "The Wild Update" but it doesn't feel particularly wild. Caves and Cliffs was all about its title, every feature about C&C was about the peaks and underground. But the Wild Update added one biome, a fey, frogs, and finished up the big reveal from the previous TWO updates (C&C pt1 & pt 2). This might as well have been a smaller update focused on finishing up C&C (pt3) and actually made the Wild update... Wild.
It'd be like having an update called the "Trees and Seas Update" and the main focal point of it ended up being the Aether Dimension becoming a thing, because it was promised to us prior. Now we get less Tree and Sea because they bit off more than they could chew with their prior updates, and say things like "just because we made a concept art doesn't mean it will happen", even though up until this point, they kinda HAVE done that very thing, even going so far as to say that things that don't get used in these mob votes or prior updates may or even will get used in future ones. It feels a little disheartening.
That all said, I am not one such person. I don't think it is reason for outrage or to decry them or anything. I can certainly see their point of view, and I can agree I would have liked cooler birch forests (they are very dull to traverse), but I play this game for free, and they don't charge me money for each new update or anything, like an MMO does expansions, so who am I to complain if the free block game is working hard to finish goals in their free game I play for free? We can always get the "Trees and Seas Update" some other time, with new forests or forest layouts for each type of forest, and all that in the future.
Minecraft is an ever-evolving game. Nothing is ever set in stone and lost to time... we found the ancient cities eventually, I'm sure we'll find taller Birch Trees or lag-inducing two-pixel fireflies at some point. That's all I got to say about that.
It would be really neat if we had a variant of the lush caves which exists under mangrove swamps and frogs can spawn in them, just like in the trailer!
A few more underground biomes and improved generation would be great

so CLEARLY there weren't many new features added that the community wanted for this update, fine. in this case, can we PLEASE get a huge quality of life update in addition to the few features that were promised in 1.19 for 1.20? I'm talking about overhauling things like inventory organization, faster flight in creative, etc etc., in addition to fireflies and birch wood revamp. quality of life is something that would be extremely welcomed by everyone, as it would only enhance the experience for the existing playerbase and would make it easier for new players to get into minecraft. Mojang PLEASE look into this
they should nerf warden. like give his shock wave less dmg and more knockback, and when out of range he goes underground. or by breaking the sculk shrieker the warden dies instantly.

I was really looking forward to fire flies- they would’ve looked amazing. Maybe Minecraft can call them glow flies instead so that they aren’t poisonous to frogs.

@@marshalllee6376 They could introduce jars and you could catch the fireflies in the jars to make a light source that fluctuates and flickers. Maybe if they get hit by lightning, they'd turn into lightning bugs and the color they glow would change. All I really wanted was for them to be bigger, since all the other bugs in Minecraft are huge. I'd be fine if they were just an ambiance mob like bats and ocelots.

It feels weird to see other humans besides Steve and Alex in these trailers, but this looks really pretty
I don't mind as long as long as they are not youtubers like Dream. The best they can do is use old classic consol edition skins like tuxedo steve(or the stony boi from the game trailer, it looked cool).

hey minecraft, i really love this new update, although adding the warden made it 10x scarier, i kinda got used to it. i dont know if i was the first to experience finding the ancient city, but me and my brother thought it was an abandoned fortress. we found it deep under a snowy mountain. after this experience, i decided to do lots of research and a couple of experiments !!

Minecraft, thank you for the fond memories on Xbox 360. I never could figure out Xbox live so I just played by myself. When I was six, I used to play on tu11 on Xbox 360, (I had a lot of fun.) I am 11 now and still delete title updates to get back to tu11. Thank you for years of memories and fun. you will be forever in my heart Minecraft.

@@drain1718 Yeah, honestly Minecraft hasn't come that far. It still basically looks the same, it arguably plays worse now performance wise and balance wise, about half of the new things are just for looks and offer no substantive content.

1:12 I had a weird thought first time I saw this. I thought that the egg was going to be used by a frog in the new swamp biome and spawn a basilisk egg like from mythology. Could be a cool future interaction.

Tips for finding these new stuff:
If you want to find the deep dark biome or ancient cities try finding a mountain biome because I keep finding ancient cities below mountains 🏔
If you want to find a mangrove forest you need to find warm biomes like Jungles, Deserts, Mesas, this means that you could find a mangrove forest
“Oh yeah, let us just release half of what we promised to bring into the game and forget about the stuff that’s still missing and was supposed to come out 3 updates ago.”

@@marcinZiom17 if u wanna use mods then use mods its still the same game with added mechanics or graphics and the updates they add still keep the core gameplay so i dont see a problem
@Kiko_Akabane The problem is that Mojang, big experienced team of full-time working devs with huge funding from Microsoft, makes updates smaller than a mod developed by a group of 3 guys working on free time, supported by couple of fans on Patreon. And Mojang still wants us to be impressed by what they bring, even though they can't keep their promises and make idiotic design decisions. That's what basically my first comment is about
@@marcinZiom17 u do have to understand they are working on a full time game and while I understand that u might have different developers working on a different project, a lot of the time the directors may shift their focus onto the game and also there has been smaller updates before like the bee one so it's not new news
