So glad I finally got to camp there mate, what a spot, love the fact that's its easy to get to and would be great for first timers or people who don't want to hike loads, bet you had a great time aswell mate 👌👌
Really great looking spot for a camp. Damn, I cannot wait to get back there. I hear ya on the drink. Gave it up 7 years ago and it was the best thing I did. Too many nights in my 20s, and 30s, and sadly my 40s that were a complete blur. I ran better, cycled better, and worked out better after I quit. And the extra cash was nice
You'll love it mate it's such a great place, good to hear, I noticed myself when I go a few weeks without a beer my whole mindset/gym workouts etc improve as you say, I do like a drink in certain situations and I've had some of the best times but I've noticed the bad feelings if I have too much nowadays, it's a bit scary if I'm honest, I can get away with a few without any problems but I would definitely be open to giving it up at some point in the future aswell tbf
lad looks nice there mate hey i was gunna buy one of them oex tents or a vango banshee or a cloud peak 2 because i like winter camps myself and i think you and your girl might be better in a cloud peak isn,t that fox small for uz two
Them OEX tents are really underrated I think personally, I've camped in all sorts of weather in the Phoxx2 and never had an issue, it's a bit cramped as you say since we bought Theramarest matts, ive got the wide version which doesn't help, not the end of the world but a big annoying, will get something a bit bigger at some stage, nice one for.the recommendations 👌👌
Check on Google Maps for the Traveller's Rest Inn Grasmere, literally just up the road on the A591 there is a massive lay-by that fits about 50 cars, Ive left mine there overnight a few times
@@MattDoesMountains appreciate the reply mate! Just had a Quick Look on google earth then I think that’s where we’ll go! Great content by the way subbed for more videos
and can i give you a tip on not to get a hang over even getting pissed just have a brew honest i didn,t believe it untill i tryed it so next time you get pissed have a cup of tea and remember who told you lid lol yes im 56 now bro and havn,t had a hangover for time but i remember being you there now lol anyway sick video bro
I think with me it's mixing any types of drinks together most of the time mate or obviously a copious amount of beer, I've been sticking to 4 cans on camps recently and not been feeling bad at all, weirdly I've never had a cup of tea in the morning after drinking, always a coffee 😅 will try it out next time I'm not feeling good 👍👍😆
@@MattDoesMountains as you know alcohol thins the blood but have a brew because i used to be on the vodka and skol supers the lot and i used to wake up with bad hang overs untill my sister told me that she,s a nurse and thats how she found out about it
I think it was around 10kg when I left the house, I had a quick look out of curiosity but added a few bits before I set off, It felt great to carry, I remember when I first started wild camping and would nearly break my back with the heavier gear
Great video Matt, probably your best. I love Grasmere, one of my favourite villages in the lakes
Thanks mate I appreciate it 👌 same here, absolutely love grasmere and the surrounding mountains, it's got a bit of everything 😍
Crocs. Some rice. And…. A pot noodle. Has the makings of an epic night. What happens in Easdale…. Stays in Easdale. 🎉

Lovely Matt. I was at Easedale Tarn the week before you.

@@MattDoesMountains The last few hangovers were not good. As you said, with the price of beer these days, sheesh.
Great video buddy thanks for sharing 👍
