Just wanted to say that the reason I subscribed to your channel is that I appreciate the attention given to super nerdy details (like how the hat, cane and gloves actually go with the "Transylvania" figure, facts about the props and costumes used in the movie, and making notes on which costume Lugosi wears in which parts of the movie). I love that stuff. I do hope these Universal figures are selling decently because I've been dying for a toy line like this since I was a little kid, and I would love a 1931 Van Helsing figure. Anyway, great review! Great channel!
Agree so heavy, it likely wouldn’t sell enough to warrant a release in the eyes of Randy Falk and team- but I’d love to own a Edward Van Sloan Van Helsing in figure form sooooo much dude.

Well, that doesn't really add up since there were Draculas between Bela and Lee. And honestly Orlock was like 96% Dracula and he had those big old rat fangs
@ chrisbuchaniec3765 really I didn't know you saw the Russian lost Dracula movie , as you must have to confidently say fun fact Lugosi Dracula was the first that didn't show fangs , How do you know they didn't show fangs in the lost russian movie, Are you quoting facts that you can prove. Or just making thing up
I will definitely be picking one of these up myself because I like being able to customize figures so being able to have a quote on quote color version of this character Will be fun.
Great figures, I also wish they would have included a few capes- the red lining is iconic and would look great on the color version regardless of what the movie actually used. I'd have paid the extra dollar for it to be included
In real life the cape lining was grey. Makes me wonder why they went with all black for the color version. Lugosi was buried in one of the capes and red lining is just a marketing gimmick.
Great review. Both figures turned out really awesome and a custom idea I've had is to take the secondary open-mouth head on this one give it fangs and possibly drawings and thin blue veins. To get across that vampire classic look that may not be Cannon but just feels more authentic
both figures turned out awesome and i like that there are differences between them. i like the color versions better and i can see the black and white not selling as well.....especially something like the mummy although i'm not liking the brown hair on bride of frankenstein so i'll get the BW on that. but this line kicks ass. i hope their selling decently because i want them to keep going. be funny to have an ultimate fritz or igor.

Fun fact, Bela was the only Dracula that didn't actually show typical vampire fangs...it was the first Christopher Lee Dracula to thank for that
Probably because of the haze code at the time. If that wasn't the case maybe we would have seen him with fangs.

Out of curiosity, when it comes to photography, do the color or B&W figures make any difference if you make the end product B&W?
The black and white figure doesn't show medallion which is a shame.id go with the color. But Wolfman b/W figure is perfect...

Once I get mine I'm afraid it won't come out of the box lol but yeah they needed to make a 3rd version
