My son Ed Rochlinski had a heart of gold and he was looking for his true love but never found her ,His 💔 was broken over and over 💔
Just curious. Where were you when you earned a medal for bravery? SF had pulled out of Vietnam before 1973. There were clandestine operations in Honduras but not aware of any other place where one would earn a medal for bravery. Which Group or Groups did you serve with? Might know some of the same people.
I am the proud mother of a soldier who loved his country and fought all over the world. He came home and we are thankful to God for his safety.

I had 2 Uncle's in Vietnam and 1 of them was fighting the riots at DC too. I saw his face in the video and told my classmates his name was Donald Paine Jr. (*Otherwise known as Jim.) From Detroit. He went to work at Pontiac when he came home & retired when Pontiac shutdown. He used to build the cars in the movies, I thought that was pretty cool! 😎 He's moved out of Detroit too.

My grandad was also in Rhodesia on two occasions in '71 and '73, he was with the SA police and he was in charge of border patrol operations along the Zambezi River in the Kariba area.

This song was sung during the Vietnam war, so was I was only 19 ten they were sung from the heart of soldiers, even though the fighting of Iraq & the Afghanistan were still going though songs were constantly playing on the radio, good on you Steve Hofmeyr you sang it beautifully.
