I found the fact that a tool exists for crimping stove pipes for about $15.00 dollars makes what this video showing , how to ruin a tool to make an existing tool quite stupid ! And a waist of time !
Nice job! Going to attempt a similar one today! Thanks for the great idea that I will steal the credit for. My lady will think I'm a genius (until she sees this video too) lol
I had to stop watching this garbage. You know you can buy crimpers, right? I have three pairs. They're not endangered. You made a tool that already exists and did it harder. LoL
The top cap 🎓 is highly over priced do i build one from a two quart aluminum sauce pan from trash or thrift store the put s glat sheet of stainless steel from an old BBQ grill snd you have a forty year stove pipe cap slso if available uou can substitute irrigation aluminum pipe for stove pipe forty plus year useful life
Thanks so much my son and i are working on a project & got stuck on the crimping part i didn't know its a grove like this we were trying to do with plyers causing much frustration so ty ty ty😅
Or you could just buy a crimp tool at any home center they aren't that expensive. Especially since you are going there anyway to get all the parts to make one.
How many more of you guys going To tell this man this? I am positive he already knows. I believe he is demonstrating how to make/alter tools you already have for multiple different scenarios. Maybe the box chains are sold out due to a supply chain issue or you are low on money? It was an ingenious Idea.
Something tells me there is an easier way. Hahahahaha Especially not including going out and buying a welder. They should show this video at Abu Grabe...oh yeah..I don't think they are allowed to torture people anymore. Actually, I think they can, they just can't humiliate them and be politically incorrect.
Right, cause taking a channel lock pliers that bolt together and grinding the center of one jaw, and the edges of the other side wouldn't be faster or as effective
Congratulations on finding the most circuitous solution to the least complex problem

Congratulations on building the most complex set of pipe crimpers rather than just buying a set from Menards for $12
Nice work 👍🏻 but the crimp tool exists and it cost 10-15$ your diy is great but for the money I would buy the real tool
Haha I was thinking there has to be an easier way than this.Jesus Christ he had me scared to cut a stove pipe.
That’s why I came to this video, looking for that tool.
@@garyballard3484 me too, lol.
There is ZERO info on how to connect anything in this video.
Why not save all that time and just buy a pair of the crimping pliers? (about $17) They are pretty cheap so don't try to make them.
Couldn't just buy a Crimping Tool made exactly for this?

A screw driver, a vise, and a little hammer literally something that does the same while maintaining their own functionality without much work.
The claws of a claw hammer twisted sideways
Your video would have been better without the annoying noise.
Really dude, you can just go out and buy the crimping tool and save yourself the time,, it cost 25 dollars
I can appreciate what u did here bro
This should be titled how to make crimp tool. 🤦♂️
The pliers that make this crimp are cheap.
Yes you are correct, but it nice to know different ways was making/altering tools in case there is a shortage or something. Is it not?
Congratulations, you have wasted time and money on making a crimper & ruin a good tool when u could have bought one for a few bucks.!?🤔👎
To much work to make some crimpers lol
3 min video... no 7...
That was about the dumbest way to do anything that I've seen to date. Total waste of time.
I need it !! I will buy it right now
