Review: citizenM Los Angeles Downtown 🇺🇸🛎️🏨

During our road trip to the west of the US we were invited to stay at citizenM Los Angeles Downtown Hotel. This microtel has a nicely decorated spacious lobby and check-in area. Although the rooms are small, the design is well thought through. Next to several ironing rooms, a gym (with a view) and a business center, there’s also a great bar and restaurant. The location in Downtown is close to some top sights of the city. If you want to visit the beach you can take a taxi or public transport. Kind of late, but did you need the roomkey to go up the elevator? Will be staying there next week, and I have a broken leg, so I'd require food delivery services to the door. Will that be An issue?

I recall you need the room key to get to the upper floors. But maybe you can ask the front desk staff to bring it to your room? Take care and hopefully you’ll recover soon.

I stayed there, and loved it. I choose it because of how well connected it is. Only a few minutes walk to Pershing Square subway station which takes you all around LA. No need to rent a car if you stay at this hotel.

Hi, thanks for your question! Some floors have an ironing room. The hotel does not offer washing machines or dryers. You could try a laundry service nearby.

Enjoyed this! As it's a small room, what would it be like with a full size suitcase in it? Would it, especially when open, take the room over or would there still be enough space?

Yes, it’s a very nice hotel! The rooms are on the small side, but you can definitely open a regular size suitcase. There are also big drawers under the bed where you could store (smaller) luggage to optimize the space.
