I’ve been feeling really lost in my music journey lately. I’ve been playing for a year and a half now and I’m self taught and don’t have money for a teacher and you just explained to me how chords work in a matter of 3 minutes and I ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOURE TALKING ABOUT!!! Thanks for the help I really appreciate it ❤️
As a guitarist I am not very educated to say the least but I realized that all the indie bands I like are not amazing player but rather they are intuitive and this filled all the gaps for me thanks ❤
Your attention to detail, plus easy-to-follow instructions, is the best I've found! Really useful stuff here. Excited to mess around with 9's and 6's and 7's :)
How to create lead melody and how to know which chords fit well with eachother! Love your videos, always have had a hard time understanding theory but you explain it so well
Your sessions on theory are really clear and helpful. What would be really helpful is showing us the theory as to how you choose the notes to link chords together. Thanks Dave
I’ve watched so many videos on trying to understand the number system and for so reason your explanation made it so simple I’m so happy lmfao I’ve needed that for so long
You're very knowledgable, much to be learned. I'd love to see you dig deeper with how to make a chord progression and maybe hear a bit of you improvising!
You’ve helped me out so much understanding the theory! I want to start recording indie music so I would really appreciate it if you posted more lessons more frequently!
a cool way to play major 6 chords is to put your index on the root note on the 5th string and bar the rest strings with your ring finger 2 frets higher
make a video explaining making melodies through chords like mac demarco does and also changing scales with the chord changes (d major pentatonic when a d chord is played and then playing a c major pentatonic when a c chord is played etc.) great video!
I remember it this way: c9 means that the chord consists of a 7 and a 2. 7+2=9. cadd9 on the contrary means that the chord does not contain a 7. Another example is c13 (7+6).
OMG THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO!!! It’s from Annie live by Mac !!! You should make a video on how to play that instrumental bit !!!!! I’ve literally ALWAYS wanted to be able to play that riff

Can you do something from Slow Hollows?
Are flats just another way of saying sharp, for example Bflat is also C#
Flat is a half step behind, sharp is a half step in front. For example C -C#-D-D#-E is the same as C-Db-D-Eb-E
