I was there in July, 1990. The guesthouse was still standing, the roof of which had recently caved in.
Wherever a replica of Hitler's Berghof is built, and it won't be in Germany, it will rake in millions.
This is a period of history for which interest is, if anything, keener than ever.

Good video. I'm surprised the steps we often see in the old footage didn't survive.

These nazi era buildings should have been preserved. They had a story to tell. If for anything else, they were magnificent architectural pieces. I regret the New Chancellery in special

Time index 2:49 is where the grand window/viewing gallery as seen in Valkyrie stood. Nice view obstructed by trees now.

It would be good if we could have an interpretation of what we are seeing.

That's what is so awesome about nature,,regardless of places where horrors took place,,nature eventually will reclaim it.

Preservation, Good or Evil should be preserved for generations to understand and learn from. Preservation of Hitler's Borgof home didn't mean Nazi worship, but would have filled in the now missing chapters of history. While I can understand the initial decision of allied forces to bomb the Borgof, the 1952 decision to blow up the remains I disagree with.

It's too bad that the recorder of the video didn't have enough common sense to at least record the information on the bulletin board of the site. It would have helped in determining what it was that the viewer was watching.

in ten thousand years historians would not be able to tell the story by looking at these ruins.
