For Qatar Air to run out of food that fast for business class is just unacceptable considering what they charge for air fare. The low quality of what was available makes it even worse.

It's because we who fly business class are mere peasants 😂 Im sure they don't run out in first class 😅
I'm guessing they had the chance to preselect entrees and those allocated for this flight weee already taken.
@johnm7882 business class and first class are the same thing on qatar...at least when I fly it is...didn't know they had a difference
I experience business and first class vicariously through you. I cannot afford the fares they ask for those seats and still be able to find lodging wherever I'm headed.
There needs to start being a rewards benefit for 1st class flights when there are supply issues. I understand they can't have every meal option for every person in 1st class, but it's frustrating to pay a premium and have multiple choices be MIA
There's something about a perfectly rounded brioche bun with a shiny top that is so alluring to me 🥰

I tried the Sapphire lounge: the risotto was not good, a creamy mush. I had one spoonful and had to stop, the The Dan Dan noodles were OK, a bit bland, very different from traditional and I didn't like the variation. the burger was excellent. Service is very fast - order drinks (great mixed drink offerings!) and food from your phone arrives in less than 5 minutes. It is crowded. Priority Pass members get one free visit per year.
What about the charge?

@@singloc3021 It is not related to airline or class of travel. It is a travel benefit provided to Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card holders. If you don't have the Reserve card you can pay to enter.
Your YT colleagues in the flight space will nearly unanimously tell you that coming out of the pandemic Qatar soft product had lost its mojo and there were and still are significant issues with the catering.
The long standing CEO decided to retire and the aviation geeks have high hopes for the new guy to turn things around. Everyone knows he needs to start with crew and staff morale, the rest will follow.

I'm glad you enjoyed the flavors because the portions were easy bake oven small. Singapore's city looked amazing.

@@dezh6345 Nah, I'm good. I have my routine when I travel and I love aisle seats, so that's where I always booked for my flights.
Shirataki noodles are a real game changer but fussy to prepare. They come in a bag full of water that you need to drain off and if you just eat them like that they stink like fish. You need to rinse them and soak them in vinegar water to get that fishy smell out. Then you need to drain them again to make sure there’s no more vinegar water left on them. Once that’s done, you can cook stirfry them with any additional ingredients, and they taste awesome ! 😊😊Glad you liked them.
Yeah they need a really high dry heat to drive off the moisture otherwise they're gummy. Great if you prep them but they aren't going to replace ubiquitous wheat or rice noodles.

the shirataki noodles aren't made of mushrooms. they're made out of a konjac yam aka "devil's tongue."
They're made from stretched yam starch residue.
One of the fanciest lounges and people dress like they're coming down to breakfast.

IMO not steakhouse quality if they’ll only offer it medium or well done - would make me suspicious of the meat quality. Or is it a culture thing?
Culture probably. Rare typically has that red juice that people think is blood. The louge is in Qatar, a Muslim country and halal requires draining blood so even if the steak doesn't contain its still iffy for the Muslims living there
