For Qatar Air to run out of food that fast for business class is just unacceptable considering what they charge for air fare. The low quality of what was available makes it even worse.
There needs to start being a rewards benefit for 1st class flights when there are supply issues. I understand they can't have every meal option for every person in 1st class, but it's frustrating to pay a premium and have multiple choices be MIA
I experience business and first class vicariously through you. I cannot afford the fares they ask for those seats and still be able to find lodging wherever I'm headed.
I tried the Sapphire lounge: the risotto was not good, a creamy mush. I had one spoonful and had to stop, the The Dan Dan noodles were OK, a bit bland, very different from traditional and I didn't like the variation. the burger was excellent. Service is very fast - order drinks (great mixed drink offerings!) and food from your phone arrives in less than 5 minutes. It is crowded. Priority Pass members get one free visit per year.

Shirataki noodles are a real game changer but fussy to prepare. They come in a bag full of water that you need to drain off and if you just eat them like that they stink like fish. You need to rinse them and soak them in vinegar water to get that fishy smell out. Then you need to drain them again to make sure there’s no more vinegar water left on them. Once that’s done, you can cook stirfry them with any additional ingredients, and they taste awesome ! 😊😊Glad you liked them.
Yeah they need a really high dry heat to drive off the moisture otherwise they're gummy. Great if you prep them but they aren't going to replace ubiquitous wheat or rice noodles.
As someone who is terrified of flying and having to fly tomorrow for only a measely 3 hours, watching how calm he is while flying gives me peace of mind
Your YT colleagues in the flight space will nearly unanimously tell you that coming out of the pandemic Qatar soft product had lost its mojo and there were and still are significant issues with the catering. The long standing CEO decided to retire and the aviation geeks have high hopes for the new guy to turn things around. Everyone knows he needs to start with crew and staff morale, the rest will follow.

Culture probably. Rare typically has that red juice that people think is blood. The louge is in Qatar, a Muslim country and halal requires draining blood so even if the steak doesn't contain its still iffy for the Muslims living there
We enjoy watching Mike's food adventures. Sadly, as seniors, we are now dependent on our long term food stores. Perhaps Mike should focus on food poverty throughout the world...

I love the airport lounges I’ve done in the MIA airport and it was such a nice place to get some food and drinks and chill before your flight
