Honestly, I so love watching your videos. You always have something to share that is helpful. Your warm, engaging approach is so refreshing, you always make me smile!
Hi Lisa! Great video! Shelf stable protein is so versatile and handy. So many people turn their noses up at it and I think they’re missing out. It’s a pantry staple in my home. I try to keep home pressure canned chicken and beef on my shelves but Kirkland beef and chicken are very good and worthy of shelf space in my pantry. In the past few years I’ve been trying out recipes with different kinds of canned fish. Some were great and some not so much. Will you show us some different ways that you prepare and serve canned fish?
I always keep canned chicken breast in my fridge, for when I want a chicken salad sandwich. Supplements are so important, especially as we age. Lovely video, thanks ! 🥰💐💗✝🏜🇺🇲
Great to have a video from you, my sweet friend, and God bless you. I appreciate your tips and advices. Mid of August , I started checking my pantry, and did an inventory for the fall and winter. Gradually, I am getting there, and I feel so thankful, to all the people that guide and share, what to prep. Thank you, for sharing about for long, you can store beans and chick peas, for truly, I started prepping two years ago, and I have some of the beans you have me mentioned, for two years. I guess, I will start using it, and get more fresh and store it. Thanks again and God bless you. 🤗🥰❤️👍✝️🌟🙏🌻💫
Helpful and beautiful video. Whole chickens on sale st a local chain grocery store $20.93😮. Stocking up on Costco can chicken for sure. Quick tacos toss can chicken in warm salsa add toppings. Burritos add can of black beans and leftover rice to chicken. Freeze well too.
Hi Lisa! Your videos are such an oasis of warmth, joy and tranquility! I have been stocking all my pantries before the winter snows and icy roads make travel difficult. Loss leaders at the supermarkets have helped stretch the budget. Deals can be found with patience and diligence. Thank you for your great videos! Saluti da NY!
Such a joy to watch your videos. Love the resourcefulness and the hints and how you move from one thing to another w/o delays. Request please... a recipe where you use the powdered milk where it asks for milk. Thank you. Stay blessed.
What a lovely comment and thank you...our community members are important to me and I want you to have value from your time spent with me so I appreciate your feedback...hope you have a great evening :)
Along with some great tips, this was actually a fun video to watch, Lisa. After our brutally hot summer here in South Carolina..seeing all your autumn related goodies..had me really yearning for cooler weather. All of a sudden I was visualizing wearing some comfy flannel jammies, sitting in front of a nice crackling fire! Thanks for the warm fuzzy feeling this evening..even if it is still too warm for flannels lol
Thanks for this thorough list! I see lots of great reminders! I have just had to compost 2 large 1/2 sacks of old dry beans as they were truly inedible. 🐇
Gotten chilly here early on in NYC. Love having windows open and lovely sleeping cool weather. Already checking out what soups & baking to try out this year 🍁❤
I love having a pantry. Love your tips. Funny Arizona was mentioned as I lived there for around 15 years. Ugh. Too hot. So glad to be finally feeling Fall in the air here the last couple days after hot and humid summer we've had.
So good to see your beautiful face, Lisa! It seems like it has been a minute since last seeing a post from you! Thankful you are doing well! Fall grocery hauls are so fun and exciting! Love the Autumn Season for its beauty and the lifestyle changes it brings Praying that God will bless you and your family with His glorious abundance this Fall season! 🙏🍁❤️🍁🙏
Yes, Elaine, it has been a minute! We had a family member who was unwell so our attention was put towards trying to help out so I'm posting as time allows...hoping you have a great evening and thank you so much for your visit and lovely blessing :)
@@asimpleseason2616 I totally understand commitments and responsibilities…they can certainly keep us occupied. Please know there is never any pressure here…just noting you’ve been missed! Hope & pray all goes well with your family member!
GOOD INFORMATION ! Lisa i have used that dried garlic and red pepper spice into a loaf of bread, the quick one that you don't knead, to have with a home made soup, it was sooo good !
I hate when your videos end, Lisa, aways so informative! I started eating canned tuna in EVOO bcuz of you, (just thought you’d like to know 😅), and the roasted red pepper & garlic flakes sound amazingly flavorful! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that combo. 🤔
Watching this while having a hot chocolate and making beef barley soup. I’m going to try your tip for the dry hair shampoo powder. Very nice video. Thanks Lisa.
I just love your presence and I can see that you are beautiful inside and out. I feel like we need to return to some older ideals and values and that is why I so enjoy your videos. Totally unrelated to this particular video, but you mentioned that you cut your own hair and colour it. Could you show us what you do? Thank you for sharing such relevant information. I live on Vi as well. Aren’t we blessed to live here?
So cool you live on Vancouver Island. I’m wondering is there a large Italian community there what led you there. 💫✨🌟🌸🌹 However those vitamins recommendations are very much needed!! I am going to see if I find them at Coscto. What a smart doctor to recommend them. ❤❤. Love how Aurora products have made their way to Vancouver Island. Thank you Lisa👌🇮🇹🇮🇹🇨🇦🌸🌟✨🌟
The CHOSEN brand of avocado oil and the CHOSEN avocado mayonnaise are both very good. This year we have also stocked up on dried cream and buttermilk. Great pantry items for baking. 🤗
Great tips here! I always keep extra pet food. I ❤ cardamom! A teaspoon added to cornbread batter is heavenly! I like your dry shampoo idea! Any ideas for blonde hair?
Hi Lisa, I’m getting my fall pantry together now so this is very timely 😊👍🏼 I can’t remember if you did a video on lentil stew before. It seems like you did but I just don’t remember. If not , do you have a good recipe for it .?its one of my favorite stews for fall. Have a great week...... Karen from Greenleaf Idaho ☺️
thanks for your note...the most important things I would say is buy as little prepackaged, processed food as you can...swap out processed soups for ones made from scratch, change out processed cookies for home baked ones, skip flavored rice packets like uncle ben's for just plain rice that can be seasoned yourself...so essentially stocking up on things like flour which can be used for a myriad of baked items, oats to make homemade oatmeal if you eat that kind of thing. Frozen veggies are always a value buy especially if you struggle with using up all the fresh kind before it goes bad... you can portion out what you need and not waste any...also things like cabbage, carrots, and potatoes are some of the less costly vegetables and store reasonably well...hope that helps :)
Thanks for your question, Rebecca...an antipasto is pretty much anything that can be served as an appetizer and you can certainly create an antipasto board (nuts, cheese, bruschetta, prociutto etc) You can also buy Antipasto which is a kind of spread that's made up of mixed veggies and a tomato base which can be served on fresh bread or eaten on its own Hope that helps :)
salmon patties are really good and I have an Italian recipe for those...hmmm maybe i'll share that in a video at some point...we also add tuna to pasta and salads :)

Thank you for the tip about cutting the sponges in half! I already do that with steel wool pads but never thought about cutting my sponges in half! ❤
That bangal spice tea Is such a fabulous treat without all the added sugar.

I use the dish scrubbies as well but never thought about cutting them in half. Genius! Thank you for sharing, Happy Fall😊
I stock dried buttermilk in addition to regular dried milk. I make buttermilk pancake and waffles.
