My oldest son is a freshman at a University almost 1,000 miles from home and will be spending a lot of time with us over the holidays. I plan on making some of these recipes during that time. They all look delicious! I’m not much of a dessert eater so it’s hard for me to get excited about fancy, time consuming desserts. I love the things you made because they don’t take a lot of thought or prep time but still look delicious. A favorite of mine is my home canned apple or cherry pie filling over ice cream. Any store bought fruit pie filling is fine, too. It’s like pie a la mode without the pie crust. 😊

I like in the UK and your butter tarts are a bit like our mince pies we have at Christmas with mincemeat in but yours are so much more sensible as they are without lids. 😃 Joining the kids is the hard part as they explode and stick to the tins unless there is exactly the right amount of mincemeat inside! ♥️
Great ideas! Question: What would be a good substitute for raisins in the tart? Possibly walnuts or pecans? I love grapes, I love wine, but can't stand raisins....go figure! 😂
