Make it shoot golf balls and sell it to Top Golf. Eliminates the job of the lazy guy driving the sweeper, and would be majorly cool to have a robot that shoots better golf than the players.
Especially more like FRC after the 2020 reveal. This was published September 2019, 4+ months before the 2020 game was revealed! I've been wondering how well an FTC bot could simulate the FRC design. This one looks just about perfect.
That is one mean machine My college team also participates in a robotics competition called robocon This year we have to shoot american footballs( rugby) to another robot who will catch it. Can you send me CAD model of the shooting mechanism if possible? Thanks
Unsure if this is how they do it. But one way to do it would be to use encoders and a gyro, set a start point on a digital map and just record it for real time feedback.
I would pay so much money to see FTC bots fight combots- it manages to plunk a few whiffle balls off the hardened steel top plate of the combot before being disintegrated.
The things that really hurts, is the fact that there is going to be a game eventually, that needs a shooter like that and they already have it.
Sadly Gluten Free has graduated and won't be competing in 2020-2021.
@@alkali836 Too bad. This robot would be almost perfect for this year's competition.
Is it a coincidence that this runs the same music as the Inconceivable bot reveal video? :)
Supreme engineering as seen here and programming as seen in your tutorials what a flex
Any chance y'all release the CAD at any point?
Who’s the new kid on your team for this year? I saw him at kickoffs today
Neo I never knew you had a secret job

Did the Robonauts repaint Ruckus?
peter is that you
That bot looks nice! May I ask how your odometry system is implemented?
Will be real-time robot tracking software available?
It is about the software that appears at 0:35 on the laptop screen...
I’m pretty sure it won’t be available because you’re really not allowed to use laptops during the match
@@dhruvavedula5050, not for matches, for planning motion in autonomous!
tv media they coded it themselves
Reminds me of cybot's turret in velocity vortex
what kind of mechanism do you guys use for odometry
Glorious
That doesn’t look like vex parts? What are u using I’m always looking for different building options other than vex?
It would look as if they're using GoBilda.
they use actobotics and custom manufactured parts, goBILDA is also a good option though
thats insane!!
one small question, did you use a servo or a dcmotor to spin the shooter?
They use one of these www.vexrobotics.com/motors.html which is FTC legal provided you wire it correctly.
@@alkali836 how do they gear it up to that insane level lol
@@Idklol603 I meant the swivel, not the shooter wheel itself
@@alkali836 oh ok lol
YEA YEA YEA
Flywheel gang
Can you talk about how you create the odometry animation in real time? What software are you using?
The software is something they built in-house that receives telemetry data from the Robot Controller phone in real time over a UDP socket.
Their visualization software along with their rr2 code was released I believe.

Yeah.
super awesome little robot ... and only 15 k views o.o

Ronak Bhanushali tbh because of the irregular shape of the footballs you can’t really use a single flywheel shooter
How did you guys get the location on field. I want an accurate location reading but am unable to find one

Where can I contact you guys? I have many questions
Nice one! Btw, some of those parts look cnc manufactured or somthing similar. Did you find a machine shop near you?
They have an in-house CNC, we do too, we have the same model actually (Shapeoko 3xl) - team 8417
@@joyouswhimsical5402 Ah, thanks
deetz approved.
Do you have the cad file for the shooter and intake?
Yes, is there a cad file for the shooter and intake?
this is just a mini frc bot at this point lol
vex master race

What game is that lmao?
Brandon it’s not an actual game, they just did it because they could lmao
At this point just do FRC haha
What the heck is that!
Is there any email Id so that I can contact regarding few doubts about your machines
That thing should pick up my trash and fire it into the bin ... 10/10 would buy
