Anytime i see a locker delivery on my itinerary i get a huge smile on my face. Locker deliveries take a ton of stress of a driver like myself that makes 150 to 220 stops a day.
Omg I’m soo glad my apartment complex changed to the hub! I always feels so bad when y’all would run up 3 flights to deliver my packages.
Even more reason to use the lockers! And just as I'm typing this, my ex texted me back to use his wife's apartment address because they have an Amazon locker! 😍

+Techmoan Similar things started to appear here in Hungary, usually operated by some delivery company (the Hungarian Mail has some for example). This means they are not tied to a particular online store although the option is not available in all of them yet. I really like the concept preciesly because most delivery companies deliver during working hours (which strikes me as both being logical and astoundingly illogical at the same time).
I didn't know this existed until now. Brilliant. Now I don't even have to talk to anyone.
Post Offices should start having their own versions of these.

As long there are no considered as a Postal Box because the problem will remain. It's crazy, merchants even refuse to deliver to Amazon Pickup Point because it's concidered to be a Box too
I love this. I use this and the UPS store for my packages.
I have been the unfortunate victim of porch thieving a few times, so this is a lifesaver.
If you know your not gonna be home this is your best option. But if your gonna be home why not wait right
We have this in Finland too, but its ran by regular postal service. I don't know why it wasn't implemented before, they could had done it decades ago.

I’ve ordered expensive/fragile/highly precious items off of Amazon, and the one thing I’m always afraid of is it getting damage due to weather or it getting stolen.
With smaller/cheaper/easily replaceable items I can make due, but something like a new graphics card kind of puts me on the edge when it’s in delivery.
This is a perfect solution to that. It’s basically a one time P.O box for Amazon!!!

The fact that you describe his iphone as old makes me feel very old, lol. I'm 44 years young, and my phone is an iphone 4s, which feels very futuristic to me. I doubt I'll ever buy a new phone unless it stops working altogether. (I only use it for calls, texts and messenger; can't stand using phones for the internet (screens and keypads are way too small), I'd rather use a laptop hooked up to my tv & wireless keyboard/mouse))

Same! I'm in the middle of moving, and I don't want the package ending up at my old place, so I decided to try using a locker for the first time ever. Hopefully the US version is as easy as the UK one. (I should find out tomorrow or the next day.)

That's why I use Amazon locker because I had a package stolen.
I was a bit confused about not knowing your locker number. But the quizshow nature of having any door come open after the code solves that for me. thanks.
You can also use Amazon Locker for returns as well and there is no charge for shipping! I just did this last week, it was the easiest online return I have ever done.

As a regular visitor to your channel I should have known your version of this service would be the best compared to other videos. Amazon lockers aren't new to me, I just needed to share a video on the subject with a family member who hasn't used them.
Brilliant I've never used an amazon locker but am due a parcel and decided to use it wouldn't have had a clue unless of your video thank you was informative
I don't know how long we've had it in the states, but I discovered it last year. I got a "new" Logitech Bluetooth keyboard, but it didn't contain a unifying receiver. So, I dreaded doing it, but I decided to send it back, even though getting a receiver would cost $10.
I noticed one of the shipping options was an Amazon locker. And there happened to be one close to me, in the mall downtown in Indianapolis. So I chose this option, drove down to the mall after 8pm (free street parking) and set off to try and find the thing.
It said it was in the Carson Pirie Scott, which is fine, except that it's the biggest store in the mall, at 3-4 floors. It wound up being on the 3rd floor behind the boys section, in a room. I looked, but there was no sign saying, "Beware of the Leopard" outside that room.
I walked up, I scanned my package (with a new return label on the outside) and it opened a door for me to put it in. But it was too small. They had thought of this, and I pushed a button, closed the door, and a bigger door opened and I fit my package in. All in all, a neat experience. But if it is out of the way, even like this (I don't do malls, really) it's almost too much of a hassle.
Looking now, and Amazon now has 8 places in the Indianapolis area, one is pretty close to where I work. NOW I would definitely use it again.
Okay, should have been choosing these lockers each time I order gifts from Amazon. Thanks on how they work!
Here in Estonia we just send packages to each other using locker method for 2-3 years already. It is about 30% cheaper than normal post office. Also you can order stuff online like in video. One company puts their lockers inside (like shops) another puts outside of the shop and lockers are operational 24/7.
As someone who has been using Amazon Locker for several years in the US, allow me to add:
1 - I don't have Prime and I don't pay extra for locker delivery.
2 - Parcels usually need to be picked up within 3 days or they will be returned.
3 - Not everything on Amazon can ship to a locker.
4 - I freakin' LOVE the lockers! I feel like a kid being taken to the toy store by mon + dad when I take the walk to pick up my Amazon package!

I knew about local pickup from shops but this is pretty cool no queuing no fuss. So many delivery choices with amazon.
My local co-op has just got these put in. It is a good thing. Drivers can never find my house, so I had to quit prime. I can now rejoin.
The Amazon locker is a pretty good idea. That "odd essential" is my favorite brand of vodka. Friend of mine brought some back with him from Russia. I was happy to find it in our local liquor stores here in the States.

We have something like that here, only its though Australia Post.
Same idea, you send it to a Parcel locker address with your customer number.
Get an SMS and/or email when it arrives then go and pick it up with your code provided.
Only annoying thing is it only works with post not couriers. and some international company's post wont send to it.
Its a great Idea, but I think the postal service doing it makes more sense than a specific retailer.... Unless we get Ebay boxes.
Oh and its free too, well free to use.
Maybe royal mail should consider doing it too.
I just tried this out for myself today on a return. Much faster than waiting in line at ups. :)

In Norway, you can deliver the package to a convenience store near you and then pick it up from the counter there anytime of the day. Also it's free shipping. :)

+Techmoan It's nice to have this - I recently moved, and as such the nearest Packstation is far enough away, that the 200m near DeutschePost place is the better fit.
Similar thing Amazon does in India as well.

My local Morrisons has some lockers like those, but they're not Amazon. This seems like a good system and saves the entertaining trips to far off industrial parks to find the parcel courier's building (and then the fun of trying to get into them).
This is a wonderful idea. Too bad they aren't everywhere yet. My area recently got prime now, a sort center facility (I got a job there), and I recently found job posting for a mall pop-up store. I'm hoping that means lockers are coming soon. I read that they already have lockers in the other major city in my state that also got a new warehouse last year. So my fingers are crossed that this experience comes near me soon!
Also there are rumors that Amazon is looking to tap into gas stations. I could see them partnering with a company like BP and having a pop-up/locker set up along with regular convenient store offerings. With the many BP gas stations in the US they could certainly have a major physical stretch throughout the US.

Just made my first Amazon Locker order, 15 minute walk down the road to Morrisons, it's oddly exciting to see how it goes lol.
InPost/Hermes now have a similar thing, you can return packages through them (and the Amazon Locker as well).
In the states they just leave the package vaguely near your home. doesn't matter if your not home.

We have this in Australia as well which is run by Aust Post. Quite handy.
Hermes have lockers too, not tried them, but they're there!
The Finnish Post has the same kind of locker system. It's called SmartPost. Many online shops have this option and it costs less than home delivery. Sometimes it's even free. Delivery SMS says the box will stay in the locker for a week.
in Finland all post are those except the main centers they are great

in germany we have these similar lockers set up called "packstation" and they work with any onlineshop.

They are trialling them here with Australia Post, looks pretty good to me.
We've got these in Finland for the national postal service and they're pretty damn awesome. I can transfer all my mail and internet shopping into that them well. Pretty cheap to send packages via them as well.

Those are pretty much the same Boxes DHL/Deutsche Post uses here for their Packstation system. They work quite well, theretically. If the Post would not constantly deliver my stuff toe the Packstation nearly out of town instead in the one right in front of my workplace where I adressed it to.
Yeah, the one in Durlach seems to be much too small, I had similar problems. Anyway, you can get your stuff delivered directly to your workplace, much easier...

We have these in Australia, but ran by Australia post so we can get anything delivered to them
In Scotland if you know you won't be home you can put your post office address as the delivery address then pick it up.

This is transmitted via multiple entry points when extreme junkies are attempting to cash giros just before and after closing time. Scotland has never been so proud of its history and future.
Invention is called "Pack-Station" from DHL-Germany. I have been using it for years now but giving it up though. Problem is, that people use it as a safe for their parcels for the maxiumum time of ten days. So when your parcel is delivered to one of these full stations, it cannot be stored there and returns to the GPO in your city. Thats' quite annoying.

In doubt the price for pike's caviar would be any near equal.
In Japan, you can deliver the package to a convenience store near you and then pick it up from the counter there anytime of the day. I haven't actually tried that, however, as I mostly schedule my packages to be delivered at a specific time slot (e.g. 8-12, 12-14, 14-16... etc). Scheduling will cause a slight delay when compared to the fast shipping provided by Prime (something like half a day later or so).
Here in Sweden the postal service closed all their offices and regardless of what you order it'll be sent to a pickup location (which is usually a grocery store or a petrol station). DHL/Schenker etc and whatnot use the same system.
yeah same some fright company will deliver to a local newsagent but the problem with that is sometime i cant get there before they close and i leave for work before they open haha

Jerry Law The thing about those convenience stores in Japan is that they are open 24/7. Otherwise, it won't mean much to forward the packages there.
Fanta711 well you see in Australia we dont have much convenient stores around, a lot in the CBD or some call downtown but hardly any outside that.

I have yet to see these in the USA,all the hype and no lockers anywhere and Im near there main headquarters. Now days to many people go around stealing your packages you have delivered at home and some postal folks never bother to ring your doorbell so you know they left something at the door.
