Thanks for posting this. I just bought one from a dollar store (in Canada). I had no idea what it even was...even the the staff had no idea what it was. She couldn't decide what to charge me so we agreed on 3.50 Canadian but asked that I drop in and let her know, if I could figure out what the hell it was! lol
What did you think it was because I know what it looked like at first glance to me. Would have been a hell of a story to relay to the shop lady.

I'm confused. Why would you bother putting the tortilla in the machine itself? Why not just cook the eggs, sausage and cheese in the machine and then wrap it in the tortilla when it's done? Seems a simpler idea to me.

+Lyse Laurin Oh I know. I realize that. My confusion wasn't really so much why Techmoan did it that way, but rather why the manufacturer would suggest it the way they do. I think the concept of the Rollie is a good one, I'm just not sure why they would suggest putting the tortilla inside in the first place. It seems counter-productive to me.

I don't think this is super easy to use. Why not hard-boil then or use a pan? At least with the pan I can put it in the dishwasher.

There is something very scatological about this device. Maybe it's a diet aid, the more you watch it excreting these tubular lumps, the less of an appetite you will experience, therefore weight loss is inevitable.

I'm here after seeing a weightlifting friend using one (well, 2 in tandem!) and he says it was a gamechanger for his training. He could never get enough calories/protein easily without spending all day cooking. Now he does a few sets, pops some eggs in the rollies while he does another set or two, then eats his egg lollies and gets on with his training again!
He eats 2 *trays* of eggs daily on his training days, his poor wife.... 🤣🤣🤣
Why not use a microwave? You can also wash the dish in a dishwasher

Commenting so long after the video was released! I love my Rollie! I have a hard time getting myself to watch your videos because I end up buying a lot of the things you work with. This has been one of my favorite buys. Probably two weeks after watching this I bought my Rollie and it has been great! So even though you didn't care for it much, thanks for sharing! I always look forward to your videos.

We have one and they are a great novelty for kids especially. An easy way to get them into cooking basics. They love making their own sandwiches from pure egg ones. I would always stick to largely egg mixes but we do sometimes finely chop some ham in.

I'd recommend whisking/stirring the eggs before putting them in. That way you'll get a more even and consistent colour and texture. Also, you could mix the eggs, put in some diced ingredients like bell peppers and stuff and then it'll come out as a stuffed, rolled omelette. Would also be a good shape for making omelette slices for California-roll style sushi.

This is my rock bottom.
Not because the vid's bad, it's great actually, it's just the fact that here I am, watching a man from another country talk in great detail about a machine that makes egg-dicks and I actually want to buy one now.
I'll definitely try and circle back around to kitchen gadgets again some time.....they seem to split opinion, but quite a few people do seem to want to see more.

Flavour doesn't transmit over youtube, so the reviews are the same. When people cook food on TV shows and then say, ooohh that tastes really great, there's no way of knowing if you'll like it.
I was going to be daft and say 'A Camera' but then I thought the better of it because its a legitimate question.
The main view was a Sony HX100V and the close up was a Sony GV55VE. However bear in mind that when things look good its really mostly down to the amount of lighting I throw at each scene.

What about a horizontal one? Something like a sheet of steel or aluminum with a handle, coat it with teflon, spray the surface with a light coating of oil, put it on top of something to get it hot, break an egg on top of it. The benefits are that you can see when you get the done-ness you want! You can cook other things with it too, the possibilities are endless!

For anyone who thought that the Rollie is a fleshlight; Anything’s a fleshlight if you think long and hard enough.
To clean it you put the brush in soapy water then push it down in the Rollie and spin it about a bit. You definitely need somewhere to clean the brush properly after because it gets coated with bits of food.

What strange minds inventors have! There seems little control of the cooking time unless you follow the recipe. And limited in what it can do. The George Foreman grill in comparison looks wonderful. (Never thought I would say that!)

He isn’t making a commercial for the thing. He’s doing a real life review. I’d be more upset if he edited all the issues out and made the video look as if a trash device worked like a charm. This is a real review that gives me real expectations on how it’ll work.

The expansion is not from the food, but from the water vapors
I'd assume when the cooking is done, the temperature has a peak that vaporizes the moisture accumulated in the bottom ,pushes it out

JakeJMitchell AU raw eggs dont contain salmonella. the bacteria can only be on the shell of the egg. eggs you get from the store are washed and cleaned extensively, at least in the US they are. soo there is almost no way you can get salmonella from eating a raw egg. only if you eat the shell with it there is a small chance
