This channel is low key lit. Only started watching recently and I’ve found a lot of inspiration in your shots. As an amateur street photographer I want to say thank you for all the content
Honestly this is the most informative "what's in my camera bag" video I've seen. A basic review of each item and great insight into your setup especially the POV setup. I've always wanted to know the exact setup as I want to get into shooting POV vids myself. Thanks for the consistent quality content bro 💪😎
This channel has grown so much, I’ve been watching since forever. 4 years ago, I had the old ass a5100 and always wanted to mimic the things he, Limon, Hayden, and Liam do. And fast forward to today, I now have a a7sii and have grown so much better as a photographer. I am now able to travel around my state and do whatever I want from making money from photography to exploring places.
I bet you would like the flippy screens that the Fuji X-T2 and X-T3 has. When you’re holding the camera vertically down close to the ground it flips up towards you. It’s fantastic.
You should do a video on what lenses you couldn't bring with you... or what lenses you'd like to get or replace in your current kit. Always looking for quality alternatives to Sony falcon punch prices
I just want to say " THANK YOU', because of you I started doing photography and I love it. As others said, you are an inspiration man, keep up the good work
I’m curious whether you’ll be happy with the image quality using the teleconverter because I notice a fairly noticeable drop in quality using my 70-200mm gm. Especially on the Sony a7r4. Please update us when you get it in! Great video!
Obviously your work has to show for it, but you’re right. People have moved out of the way when I pull out the tele (70-200). To be honest, before getting into photography I also did the same. lol
Neat set up. One thing I like about your set up is that you don't go for always go for the most expensive gear but rather what works. Ie: everything GM, latest drone or a big brand camera bag
Nice video work! Just a heads up on the converter. I went crazy on these with 70-200 Tameron lenses on Canons. That was a few years ago. I don't think they have made a lot of improvements. First - double check that it will fit your lens. Just because they're the same make doesn't mean your lens has the DEEP BACK END OPENING (I know that sounds bad - but that's the only way I could describe it) Seriously! Double check the adapter fits. Secondly, you are NOT going to be happy with the auto focus with the extender. Good luck - but remember, you're paying almost as much for the converter as you are for the converter. Watch what you do! Good luck! ~Matthew
You talk about not needing a camera strap, drop things twice during the video and show the Sigma you had fixed twice and that looks like it was a motorcycle accident. I think we have a lot in common :). Great video, thanks for sharing.
"This guy means business" cracked me up real good! Very informative video, love it! Maybe I got a little inspired to film POVs like you :) especially that last one with snow in NY, best vibes
I remember trying with the hero 10 and had no luck, maybe you also need to have a specific cable for it too 🤔Regardless the night footage is still better on an Osmo as far as an action camera goes in my opinion.
I love it where you hold on the high vis vest.. It's made you so much more professional at the ending of the video... 😆😆.. Awesome video, and i can relate about that 105mm, it's a backbreaker hahaha
Won't use a camera scrap, but regularly brakes his camera lens... Also, I recommend getting your filters on 82mm and then using step up rings. Saves a lot of space, weight and money.
Hey mike! how long will you be in NY? I'm planning on visiting next week and it would be cool if I met you in person! Not saying I'm trying to set something up, I'm really just hoping to just randomly bump into you while exploring NY myself.
I’ve been taking a lot of pics on my A7SIII . Even though it’s 12mp , they turn out 🔥 for sone reason . Good enough for social media anyway . Should do a photo shoot with it Mike .. be interesting to see what you could get out of it .. ✌🏼
Dope video! I watch your video like they’re big tv show that’s our haha. How long are you in NYC? I’m visiting in April and can’t wait to do street photography.
I just upgraded to an a7iii and purchased the sigma 24-70 f2.8 and I was wondering if I should return it and buy a 35mm instead. I was considering the sigma 35 1.4 DG DN. How does the Sony 35 1.8 or the sigma 35 1.4 compare? Is 2.8 useable in low light?
Give Peak Design a go again as they are great. I've got them as two captures and they are great.. Have you switched to a PC to edit as opposed a Mac because of the file storage? It's hard on a Mac isn't it! I've got a Mac laptop but a big PC to deal with the main with the main things
Yo Mike! You probably won't see this but I love your work. You've inspired and motivated me to keep taking photos and pursuing the passion. Keep playing your part and leading my example champ. I appreciate you. Dee from California 🙌🏾 🙏🏾 👊🏾
The 65mm is a great lens and I think if any 35 should be recommended it should be the 35mm f/2 of the same line. I have both on the Lumix S5 (Leica SL2s before) and it makes for a very compact but powerful kit. Now waiting for the 20mm. :D I just love how tactile those lenses are. No need to look for anything, you just feel where everything is. And I'm never gonna have a lens without aperture ring ever again.
Great in depth video as always 🙌🏻, took inspiration with the POV setup from here too. Do you think you’ll get the Mini 2 if you’re scaling down your Drone?
Hey mike where did you get that pinnie? (I checked amazon and Google with no luck so far) That's a better version of your previous ones. The media text is hilarious. I live near Philly and that would come in handy if you know what i mean. Also extreme facts about the 70-200mm. When people see me whip out mine it gets lot of Oh....He's serious type reactions. Still working on saving up for the 105mm 1.4. You still have been such a good/bad influence on that one.
Hey there dude :) Concerning the A7SIII screen wobbling. Had the same issue. Sent the camera over to the nice peps of Sony Pro Support. They fixed the wobbling. Have a go at this maybe. Feels much more stable after they fixed it :) Cheers from Austria Bran
What do you do with the raw footage after the TH-cam video is completed and uploaded to youtube? Do you delete the parts which you didn't use or keep everything as it is and upload it to a cloud storage or something or you move the files to a different storage hard drive?...Btw Interesting Video! loved it!
I live in ny and it would be cool if you planned a meet up with your fellow New Yorkers and challenge the people who come to go around ny and take certain pic
Hey Mike! Your videos are always inspirational! The content you put out and the energy you give truly drives the photography passion within me to put my heart into shooting just as you do! Could you also link the "naan" light you were referring to in the video? Also, I use a decade old Canon and it can often struggle with its auto focus especially in dark environments. I noticed in your videos that you're able to "hyper-zoom" within your camera screen and capture a sharp image with manual focus. What feature/setting is that (because it looks to be a true game changer!)? Thanks! Always looking forward to your next video!
I can confirm if you have a decent camera body and a 70-200 2.8 people automatically think you belong on sets or are some amazing photographer. I was in LA last May and got to shoot some behind thhe scenes photos for a Netflix show that was being filmed at the Santa Monica Pier cause I had a 70-200 2.8 on the EOS R.
Hey, so when you travel by plane do you just have that bag or do you have hand luggage and other stuff. Wanting to do trips and definulty don't want to check in the camera bag.
Damn you keep killing the game never stop yeah😠 nice vid as always stay safe on your trip! Love my A7RV as well best camera I ever had. At first I hesitated between the 70-200 and 100-400 GM and since I have the 24-70 GM decided to go for the 100-400 and I don’t regret it. But for this year I might be copping the 70-200 as it is smaller and more compact. Anyway love ya mate 💪🏼
Hey man, I just subscribed to your channel shortly after watching you and Optical Wander together. Love your shit, been peeking your photos on Instagram as well. Just wanted to say keep on being the baller ass photographer you are, and have a shit one mate.
if its just for photography go for whatever the cheapest option is, but sometimes I like to vlog on my 24-70, the 4mm makes a huge difference so the 28-75 wouldn't suit my needs.
This channel is low key lit. Only started watching recently and I’ve found a lot of inspiration in your shots. As an amateur street photographer I want to say thank you for all the content
You're in for a treat. Mikes a real bro of photography with legit content.
@@Pixels_And_Petrol Damn, sorta wish I found him out earlier. Would of gone to the meet-up in London😁
@@Pixels_And_Petrol I agree mate he dose it all and you learn a lot
You gotta get in on drunk editing
Low key? Bro is high key, haha.
I wish I was in your camera bag
We can make that happen 👀
I wish there was a turtleneck in your camera bag
watch him pull Sam out of the bag on his next shoot
This is the collab i never knew i needed until just now

1.4x is apparently preferred, less quality loss.
that bag and what's inside that bag is 🔥🔥🔥

Thanks for this, great choices on the lenses! And thanks for recommanding your videos using the 105mm gonna watch them all :D

The vest helped me once and I have it always in my bag when I go out. So thanks for teaching us some life hacks 😂😂
Can confirm charge and filming at same time works on Hero 8 and above!
I got a GoPro Hero 9 and you definitely can charge while recording. They make a replacement pass-through door for the USB-C plug for that reason.
I remember trying with the hero 10 and had no luck, maybe you also need to have a specific cable for it too 🤔Regardless the night footage is still better on an Osmo as far as an action camera goes in my opinion.
Looks like a decent size bag, I just bought a 150-600mm so I'ma need a bigger bag aswell lmao

haha that media hivis! so crafty haha notes taken. that and the car with the hood up for no tickets
The Velcro idea is so cool. My Sandisk ssd always just dangles and the short cable is bent at the port
great vid mike! love that every year!

Been watching for ages....love the videos. I use a 2x TC with a 100-400mm and even with losing some light, it's a great option.

Ayy!! I carry 2 Pavo tubes in my bag most of the time, they've saved my butt so many times haha!
Why not use step up rings and use one (biggest) size filters for all lenses?
Great in depth video as always 🙌🏻, took inspiration with the POV setup from here too. Do you think you’ll get the Mini 2 if you’re scaling down your Drone?

It is called focus magnification but it only works when you have a mirrorless camera or use the lcd on the camera

why dont you use any pancake or just small lenses? like a 50mm? they're like 30 bucks and take super sharp pictures.

Yo mike, downsize your drone to the mavic air 2! It’s just what you’ll need
Which Polfilters can you recommend?
Love the video. 1 question what brand polarizer do you use?
I use a bunch of different ones tbh! depending on what thread size I need, I have the following brands,
Hoya,
ProMaster,
Nisi,
All do a great job 👌
@@NorthBorders thanks mate👍
is your hair shadow a different shade from your clothes and the bag? how do you color grade like that??
How many exposures u have in the 7RIV?
Hi Mike / North Borders mate,
Most interesting gear that i have seen, how about do i get a copy of "Media Vest" ?

Had a Breakfast with your video 😂❤️🔥
Wish I could afford these, keep it up these yearly videos tho always high quality.( and continue the gun thumbnails😂”
You need to get a magnetic ND/CPL filter haha
Would you recommend the Sigma 24-70 over the Tamron 28-75? I’m looking at both but can’t make a decision really
Just to confuse you more, there is a 28-70mm Sigma as well. And it weighs nothing. If small and light is the goal, take a look. ;)
I choose tammy just because of ergonomic feel aka handling. Also that 6yr warranty and its not even 6months old
if its just for photography go for whatever the cheapest option is, but sometimes I like to vlog on my 24-70, the 4mm makes a huge difference so the 28-75 wouldn't suit my needs.
i think the hero7 and newer can charge and shoot now
Every GoPro can charge while filming all the way back to the hero 3 if not farther I know this from personal use
4:24 that moment when I have the as7ii :)
What’s your shutter count on your camera?
Will you be ever making merch cause I would love a hoodie that says "hope you're having a sh*t one"
this year i would love to release some!
Okay but the thumbnail?!? 😭😭😂 I legit thought it was a gun for a hot second I was so confused
hahah the "media" vest got me.
PS: how the f*#k do you get through an airport ? Are there any customs/security issues with all this tech ?
