1988 season for Jordan, MVP, DPOY, Scoring Champ with 35 PPG, Steals Champ with 3.2 steals per game. His second season recording over 100 blocks in a season and over 200 steals in a season. Only 3 players have done so and Jordan is the only one to do so twice.... in 87 and 88. He went off.
(BTW, MJ played 11 full seasons with the Bulls.... how many seasons were on the top 50..... 11.... every bloody full year with the bulls he put up some of the best individual performances of anyone all time).

@@jaws1698 damn lol I love finding out new stats for mj. he had 142 in 88 and I just found out he has the most blocks in a regular season with 893 & most blocks per game with 0.9, among all guards..
back when I used to watch espn, I was always shocked at how often mj was included in some obscure static when they were trying to highlight some random player's accomplishment. in the corner, it'll have the rest of the players who also achieved it, like a top 3 or 5.. I would always laugh seeing mj's name included because they'd always be some stat people never think about and lo and be fucking hold, mj had done it.

Excellent video, sir! And your growth as basketball fan in understanding and being willing to see for yourself that there have been many greats throughout history in the sport is good to see. I've seen so many LeBron fans who, no matter how much evidence they see that he's great, but not the greatest, refuse to acknowledge the truth. Thank you for taking the time to do the homework, and appreciate those who came before LeBron rather than just bashing them because you wouldn't accept the facts. Keep going. It's fun to watch you evolve.👍

@@queztheplug I do believe he gets so much hate due to him always spinning media narratives to excuse his shortcomings failures rather than confronting them head-on and owning up to it. Older fans like myself see that as blame-deflection. He wants all the credit when they win (like when they won against GSW and he claimed that made him the GOAT, but he wasn't the one who made the final shot to win it), but he has the media blame others when they lose, or he brings up a different subject to distract people from his losses. He does it, and we can see it very clearly.
Don't get me wrong. When the Bulls would lose, the media blamed Scottie Pippen very unfairly at times, but MJ never blamed his teammates. Accountability matters to fans and it SHOULD matter to the players themselves. It just looks like LeBron wants to dodge accountability in his low moments. That stunts your growth as a person and a player.
I see in today's league that it's biggest stars also seem at times like the laziest players. They don't like to practice, they want to sit out games, they fake injuries, etc. They're cheating the average NBA fan who works all week to buy a ticket to see them only to find out the player they came to see it sitting out that game. The greats of times past didn't do that. They felt they owed it to the fans to go out there and play and win.

Context matters. What do you mean by value winning too much?
That's like saying you value fueling your car too much and not caring about your ultimate destination. No petro, no +charge, YOU NOT GOING ANYWHERE.
Winning Championships is the highest honour you can get.
It's the very last obstacle placed around every June. This is the NBA's paradise.
If it wasn't important they would just start that bad boy in November and skip the full season. The other thing is playing at a very superstar high level without load management and wanting all the smoke MATTERS. That's fueling your tank Also taking into count going against the most resistance also matters.
To do that and win? THATS GREATNESS. This is exactly why MJ is the GOAT unanimously worldwide. It's not close in the slightest as you can see in Jimmy's impeccable well-validated video.
Lastly, Bird vs Bron. If this was head to head. Let's say 1986 Celtics vs. 2016 Cavs or any of those Heat teams. I'm taking Larry Joe and that great frontcourt. What the video Jimmy doesn't reveal is head-to-head scenarios. Larry was a better shooter, rebounder, and passer when it mattered the most than Bron. Bron has athletic ability. [suspect]
Game on the line? who do you want Bron or Bird? Larry Joe all day.
Larry actually made his teams better, Bron did not.
Watch Sports Fitness Rants for that breakdown.
    Have a good one.

Most people seem to think we Jordan fans hate LeBron - and maybe some do - but really most of us love LeBron and we just hate hearing people say he’s better than prime Jordan was. It’s the same thing with hating when people try to say the Earth is flat. (Shout-out to Kyrie.)

The tree at the end right there is great way to develop the all-time great pyramid (considering only prime years). MJ is SS tier, Lebron to Harden is S Tier, people scoring less than Harden but still above 500 are A Tier and so on. One thing I'd be interested to know though (I think it is impossible given we don't have data prior to 1975), is what would the tree look like if we had data in the 60s-70s and another, what would the tree look like if we considered all years played, not just prime years.

You'll have to say which season Lebron was robbed of a regular season MVP. 2011 Derrick Rose took a team with inferior talent top the top of the Eastern conference standings. 2014 KD lead OKC to the best record on a stacked Western conference. Steph Curry lead the warriors to the best to 67 win regular season. He followed it up in 2016 by being the only playing in NBA history to win MVP unanimously. In 2017 Westbrook won it by averaging a triple double. Something Lebron could only do in "theory", but couldn't come close to accomplishing it. 2018 James Harden lead the rockets to 65 wins, won the scoring title, and was one of the league leaders in assists. 2019 Giannis won the MVP by being a top scorers and one of the 3 best defenders in the league. While leading the bucks to the best record in the eastern conference. 2020 He came back to have an even better season statistically, while also winning the DPOY award. 2021 Jokic won it without his having his sidekick, and having a statistically dominant season. 2022 he came back and had an even more dominant season, almost being the first center to average a triple double. Well you know who won it 2023. So when was Lebron robbed? Which MVP was given that award unjustifiable.

In 2006 Dirk Nowitzki got robbed of MVP, not Kobe. Not only did Dirk lead the Mavs to 60 wins (5 more wins than Nash), but Dirk didn't have another current all Star OR future Hall of Famer on his team. And he won 60 games in the WESTERN conference! Dirk also led the league in win shares that season. Kobe had an amazing individual season in 2006, but his team only won 45 games.
LeBron should have maybe one more MVP than he currently has. The media has been trying to give LeBron one more MVP for almost a decade now. Kevin Durant played out of his mind in 2014, and the media was still trying to figure out a way to give LeBron the MVP award instead of KD. They almost tried to do the same thing to Giannis in 2021.

Not really. The bulls wouldve never gotten those 6 wins without jordan. Meanwhile lebron implodes damn near every finals. I'd say thats pretty important. You play to win. If you cant make your team win then your value drops significantly. Jordan is 6-0 never let a series go to game 7. Not to mention he leads in damn near every stat. By your logic getting sweeped in the finals is also whatever then

It's much easier to score in today's NBA no hand checking you can't guard ninety four feet and if you touch someone it's a foul period so yes I love these guys today but let's face it guys can not get physical with them and more importantly the spacing is not the same so yes they have a huge advantage today period

Dont include 1986...and 1995 where jordan didnt play more than a half of 82 game....jordan played in 1986 less than 20 games and so 1995....so it must not include therefore only 13 seasons minus wizards days where he only played bcoz of request and being one of the owner of franchise....meaning only 11 full seasons....

So stats mean nothing although Jordan owns most of them...... the most important one........ winning every single Championship he was in that includes two three-peats in 8 years....... debate over

mvps are a combination of godly stats team postion and good story or narative and voter fatigue, steve nash finish 2nd or 3rd at the next season i think behind dirk? he could have won 3 straight if he did imagine the outcry from other nba players fans, yeah steves impact was undertad and often overlook , if kobe just won a couple of games more maybe they would have given it to him, if im not mistaken that was the time that most of the lakers starters got injured thats why they didnt rank higher besides that kobe didnt have a better teamates at that time. ive seen that vid by thinking basketball and i think hes spot on with the steve nash take. what i didt agree was when he said jordans handles was lacking, i mean jordans style was precise and surgical according to kobe and his handles was just the right amount not to waste energy.

Dirk had a better season than Nash and Kobe in 2006 if we're taking winning into account, and he won MVP the following season. It took Dirk leading his team to 67 wins without another All Star instead of "just" 60 wins like in the prior season, for the league to finally award him the MVP.@@queztheplug

    Are you serious?!!
See, that's the fundamental difference between your generation and mine.
Because the ENTIRE OBJECTIVE of the sport is to WIN a title.
But let y'all tell it, just "making the finals" or putting up triple doubles is more important.
Somehow, your generation deems the pursuit of winning as 'toxic' ...SMH 😒

      @queztheplug
      No, he's not.
Because the GOAT criteria is more nuanced than that. It's a combination of individual dominance, impact, and, yes, winning.
And that's what COMPLETELY separates MJ from Bill Russell (RIP).
      And it's not even close.

🤣🤣🤣 “Y’all value winning too much”
Excuse us, it’s only sports. Winning is a key factor. What player plays or what fan watches just to see stats get padded? If that’s the case why do Bron fans worship at the temple of his comeback series against GSW? Please get us Jordan fans out of your head. Not every comment needs to be about Jordan’s 6 rings. You can spend just as much time talking about Bron’s 6 failures instead since winning doesn’t matter that much😂.

Winning the ring along with your season accomplishments just take you another level… for example Allen Iverson just imagine how more greater he woulda been with a ring even in other sports Ken Griffey Jr was a cold baseball player and Barry bonds but they don’t have a ring
