Why is it that my English Website isn't the same as the other language? In French I have a visible Menu, but in English its not showing. Also links are broken in the other language. How do I fix this?
Hi! Great video, thanks! Do you have a video on how to transate the products? I have fllowed your video and now all my products are still in my first language - i dont know how to make it change with the site language change.
Hi There, thanks for sharing. I there any cost with using this. I ready somewhere that you it would translate 2,000 words and that a fee is associated to anything more that 2,000 words?
CAn i to re write the automatical traslation? because i think i prefer to express different words. The modules of design turn identical? very good job, thanks
hi my website is in English i wanted to translate in Japanese but now I cant remove the japanese. i can add many languages and remove them execept japanese?! anyhelp? thanks
Hi, Sorry to hear that. It's very hard to say what's causing this from the youtube comment section, but it sounds like you told wix that your site is in Japanese. I recommend that you remove the app, and start over again. If your site is now currently translated to Japanese Go into your website editor, in the top left corner you have "site", click that and select site history. Then select an earlier version of your page before you translated it. If none of this helps, I recommend that you contact Wix support and they will help you out.
Hi, Have you considered reinstalling the application? Personally, when I'm working in the Wix editor, I always opt for Google Chrome as it tends to have fewer bugs. If you encounter errors like the one you mentioned, I usually find that a quick fix is to simply open and close the browser.
Hey! Thank you for a great video. I'm new to Wix and I'm looking for a way to set up my global website to have separate subdomains for different countries. I don't need to change the languages of these subdomains, just that the URL is assigned to it's specified country and have the contact forms display to the correct country. Is this possible with Multilingual even though it's not its main purpose?
Hi! I want to change some of the pages when it has a different language (the reason is I will have different staff for different country). Is this possible?
I hope they have added that, From April 1st they started on working on new features to this app, not sure if they have gotten to this option. You can use Editor X and code it in manually.
is there a way to change the MAIN language ? because Im working for a client abroad and want to make his language the main one and make english the secondary
Your way of explanation is awasome.. I am from India.. please make video on how to send notification to customer through mail and sms.. is that possible in wix?
Hej Svenska, that app has a rating of 2.1 at the time of the video ... and from what I saw in Spanish, it sucks because it does literal translation.. would you know if you can edit it to make corrections?
Hi Alfredo! The app had a lot of issues in the beginning, so I think that's one of the reasons why the score is so low, not that it's by any means a 5-star app now. After this video, Wix introduced AI to the translation, so hopefully, users are going to experience better translations. It's always a good idea to go over the translated versions, especially in French & Spanish. You can edit the text by selecting the language you want to edit in the website editor.
@@theecomchannel Tack sa mycket👍 Good to know, maybe I'll still consider them, I just found Canva also and they're really good too.. That app today still has 2.0 but maybe there wasn't enough time since they improved it.. I worked for a Swedish company, Love Sverige. Cheers from crazy Argentina**
Hi, I'm having issues with layout. Wix says on their website: "Currently, it is not possible to add, reposition or resize elements only in a specific language. When you customize or add an element, it appears the same across all languages of your multilingual site." This means that alignments and everything are out of sync. Is there any way around this?? I don't know why they've made it work this way.

I know that Wix are working on something around that, but at this moment you will have to do that manually.
Hi There, thanks for sharing. I there any cost with using this. I ready somewhere that you it would translate 2,000 words and that a fee is associated to anything more that 2,000 words?
It really depends, some have to pay, some dont. I recommend that you reach out to wix to find out whats included in your plan.
Can I like change just a few things manually? I only need to fix a few wrong titles with the robot translation!
Yes you can. Select the language you want to edit in the website editor :)

The language button doesn't show up on my website to move around...

Wix have made a bunch of chances lately, but I think this was something you could do by adding in these subdomains to wix?
Has anyone seen this feature work correctly? because here for me when I save it loses the updates made. Now in oct-23
It works :)
Hi! I want to change some of the pages when it has a different language (the reason is I will have different staff for different country). Is this possible?
It can be possible, I recommend that contact wix and they can assist you with that.
Thank you!!
How can I change to 2 languages after I've already started building a website?
You can do that, I think the main language is automaticly detected now.
I accidently added portuguese to my main lenguage, how can I change it ot english?
I recommend that you uninstall change language on wix, if it has changed and install the app again.
Thank you so much!
What about a language that doesnt exist here?
Hey! Any idea how you can add a language button on the mobile? Or a pop up to choose language when you visit the website?
Thanks!
I hope they have added that, From April 1st they started on working on new features to this app, not sure if they have gotten to this option. You can use Editor X and code it in manually.
Hi! Is there also a way to translate the URL slug of subdomains? I couldn't find it :(
Hi, This app has changed alot since we made this video, feel free to reach out to wix and they will help you out.
❤ i like this
*NEWS FROM WIX:* Translating sites that over 3000 words is no longer free.
is there a way to change the MAIN language ? because Im working for a client abroad and want to make his language the main one and make english the secondary
I think that the Main language must be set under settings -> Languages and regions. But why dont you use autodetect, and it will change automaticly?
@@theecomchannel yea ig thats the optimal move, thanks.

Yes, Wix had some issues, but according to wix this is sorted now.
Can you manually edit misstranslations?
Yes, Just select the language and edit the text :)
Why the wix multilingual disappeared?
Hi, This app has changed alot since we made this video, feel free to reach out to wix and they will help you out.
Does the chat translate from their country to the users' language ?
Last time I checked it was an app for that, but Wix is changing the multilingual settings now, so I am not sure if its available anymore.
@The Ecom Channel cheers do you know what the app is called, please
I cant find it anymore. But I guess it will be back when Wix starts charging money for translation, March 1st.
Nice video but my site did not change language at all.
Joo it cost me 25,- per translate.. you do this for free back in the days? Damn
where did you get that fucking button, mate?
Hi there, I am not sure what you are talking about?
if you follow this tutorial you won't be creating subdomains for SEO, so you're basically not generating traffic for those respective translations.
That is not correct, as it ads a prefix to the domain for each of the languages :)

Im sorry?
Judging solely by this one. would be tutors pale in comparison.
Thank you for the kind words!
