Well done! I just told my husband ours is coming down too! We have blue tiles though and and I like them, so I might have little white caulk circles, but still better than "the contraption from he**!" LOL!
Wow! Great job! I hate those glass enclosures. My mother had one installed when I was a teenager and my job was to wash it. The track was so hard to clean and the glass needed to be constantly wiped down on both sides. To me a shower curtain is so much easier and pretty.
You are amazing and such an inspiration and encouragement to try things you think you can’t do. My daughter-in-law is just like you. She loves a challenge and her motto is ,”Never give up!” I love watching your videos and your family and fur babies are lovely!
We had an enclosure like that for many years and I often complained to my husband that the track at the bottom hurt when I was bending over to bathe my grandchildren. Also, it was impossible to clean those tracks that ended up with mold and mildew. He finally allowed me to remove the enclosure and now we have a nice, clean shower curtain and liner that I wash regularly. You can get a curtain that surrounds the entire tub (the kind meant for freestanding clawfoot tubs. I enjoy your channel so much and identify with your French heritage since we are Cajun French living in South Louisiana near the Gulf of Mexico.
This was such a satisfying watch. I remember all the work you did in that bathroom previously, so I was looking forward to this second part of the transformation. I think you did a brilliant job removing the enclosure Sophia. The bathroom looks so much bigger and more modern without it being there. The smile on your face shows how happy you are that it’s finally gone and that made me smile too. 😀
Way to go! You have been wanting this task done for so many years now, it is so nice seeing it get done. So many times we put off a task because it seems “too big” or “too complicated”, only to find out that it’s not that bad. You inspire others to just try and that’s wonderful.
I don’t remember saying that the track was not screwed to bath tub ( except that one screw) but looks like I was right! For the most part Lol! Kudos that was a lot of work. 💜👍 ( then again I don’t remember a lot of things these days 🥴) I have glass block in 2 of my showers. It is circa 1990? But my house is as built in 2004. But I like it and it’s easy enough to clean for the most part.
🎉Awesome work Sophia! 2 hopefully helpful ideas: I saw this on a TH-cam video once: Put Baking Soda on bottom of tub, followed by Dawn Dishsoap, followed by Vinegar. It will foam up and let it sit. Then use the scrubby side of a sponge and works great. I remember your hall closet, maybe you want to put the litter box on the floor in there with a kitty door or put it in the hallway with one of those enclosed kitty boxes?? Your bathroom is going to look so nice when you’re done and bath time would be so much more relaxing without the litter box. 💕 🥰 LOVE your videos!!
@@mygreatchallenge oh 😬 i was jogging around my room while watching and maybe i didn’t catch that part. You are my Fave Content Creator! Thanks for all your videos!
Wow, what a big leap there, girl. Soon it will be my turn in the barrel doing that. 😬 Have you considered using a curtain track that hangs from the ceiling. Like a hospital room track for partition curtains? Rebecca Robeson designer uses them and they are quite sophisticated looking. Just look into it. Can't wait for the next video!
I can't wait to see how this turns out. I'm wanting to do this same thing with my second bath. The person that lived here before me put in glass doors that are too large for the bathroom. They take up the whole space. I haven't been sure how to do it so your video will help a lot!
Sophia don't worry about the giew of the toilet you're in the bathroom and it's real life only on old sitcoms the toilet was hidden it's not a taboo thing .as long as you don't give us a visual on how to use a toilet we're fine😂
I had my tub reglazed by professionals and it was not good it left like a rough surface I could never take bath a bath my daughter in law had her done too with a different company and got the same result really bad. You did a great job as always
Sophia, I wonder if where the bolts are in the tub if there was a partial wall when the house was first built? It looks good, by the way. I had no doubt that it would. 😊
Word of advice, I would have professional to come in and reglaze the tub and tiles. Or you can buy a reglazing kit from home Depot. My son in law done theirs and it looks ok. But my friend owned apartments and had her reglazed by a professional and oh my goodness, it were beautiful!!! Just a idea.
Not calk for the holes. Use metalish screws for bathroom. They would look better and more finished. You can fix them with silicone. It's something like the ones from ikea to make the holes in the furniture more invisible, something like buttons.😊
Too late for now but did you know they make a gel product that dissolves silicone sealant really easily? It means you don’t risk scratching the tile or tub by having to scrape really hard.

SO Amazing , Sophia!!!
Sophia, you are such a hard worker, and your work is paying off. Great job!
Great job! 🎉 I know you’ll enjoy your new tub so much! 💕
That is a beautiful bathtub. I never realized how pretty it is. Stupid enclosure was hiding it. You go girl!
Good job! It is nice having the extra room. Can't wait to see the next video. Have a great day!

You could always hang the shower curtain rod from the ceiling and then put up a really long shower curtain. I think it would really cute!
Don’t ever doubt yourself Sophia… you always find a way..

Wow what a difference hey? Looks so much more open
I’m so happy for you! You got it off! You’ve wanted it removed for so long. Well done.
Wow what a difference in the bathroom, you are right it looks much bigger. Great Job!
The day has finally come and you did an amazing demo!
🎉❤ I have a glass enclosure too...nuff said....it is going to look great, looking forward to the finished reveal❤🎉
We have a 4 panel bi-folding shower door it turns it into a shower incloser and folds flat! Something to look into!😊
🎉Awesome work Sophia!

I did mention the litter box will not stay in the bathroom.

I have but the ceiling are too high and the light is in the way. I would have to rewire the light. I am not doing that.
Marvelous!!!Now you soon will have a proper bathroom.....YAY!!!!!
It looks so much better!!!! Great Job.....

My guess as to Who invented the glass shower enclosure would be someone who never expected to CLEAN IT!😂
Exactly!
I knew you would do it 😊
William’s hard water joke 😂
Wow how did Willie get so tall? When I first started following your page he was little he's tall enough to have to duck his head
SSS = so satisfying Sofia

@@mygreatchallengegreat concept. We know your family is ready and willing to help. Love the empowerment.
You always surprise me with your projects. I learn so much from you. I look forward to the on going project. Also the final video.
