After owning a 240i manual and a 440i, I’ve just bought an M140i auto and absolutely loving it. So tempted to tune it, but really want to keep it standard (bar the one or two MP bits it has) and hang on to it for a long while. Have a feeling these will be rare gems in the not so distant future.
You can always revert back to stock settings if you were ever to sell it. Can keep it stock everywhere just get a bit more out of it while you have it and then revert back to stock map if you ever wanted to sell
@@aaronalp2639 yeah very true. Maybe I’ll just get a remap and call it there. 400bhp would be nice! On the gearbox - I loved the manual. That being said the ZF8 is so good and in manual mode can be a lot of fun. I think the 240i went to about 60/65 in second from memory so I always felt like you could only really enjoy 1 shift anyway haha.
Great video from yourself and awesome to see Mike in front of camera more. Absolute genius, mine made 441/682 with ppf in on his BA pro dyno. Ran 8.32 100-200 in 17c +200m da. Absolutely convinced it would do a 7 in negative da. There is ppf deleted stage1 240 mikes tuned that runs 7.55 100-200, crazy
One thing you have to do is give German cars credit for what's possible with just a remap. Old Subarus and evos don't give much increase from a remap but a 20 year old diesel will give big gains from just a remap alone
Sometimes I've noticed when I stop at a roundabout or junction the accelerator pedal seems to stop working for anything up to 2 or 3 seconds which feels like a lifetime if you've not got much time to get moving before some angry Karen starts blasting their horn at you even though they're not that close yet. Sometimes I've even tested the pedal first to see if it's going to respond before I actually commit to pulling out. I've noticed it's at the same junction too about 90% of the time. Anybody else having this issue? If I switch traction control off the problem seems to go away.
My 440i 2019 does that too, ive got stage 1 with XHP flash and have noticed that a lot too. I think its when the car has lost traction before and then when you come to a stop it limits the power?
Omg I’ve been searching for similar issues to this as mine does it after a spirited drive and pull up to the lights at the round about glad to know it’s not just me I’m stage 2 xhp stage 3 M135i and it has spun the back end up before coming to the stop
Great content, as always! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (mistake turkey blossom warfare blade until bachelor fall squeeze today flee guitar). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
322whp for a stock M140i? Don't know what kind of dyno/software they are using, but that's extremely high. Especially for an OPF M140i. Usually the OPF versions deliver quite accurate figures. So around 340~345 (crank HP). The non-OPF can do 350~355 HP. But still the difference for a RWD car between WHP and crank HP is like 12% or so. So this mean your car does 360HP at the crank. Sorry mate but I can't imagine that's correct even not on 99 octane.
I've got a 140i stage1+ tuned by nvm th-cam.com/users/shortshLxHPypTtsg?feature=shared Its 437.5bhp and 685nm. 2019 with opf removed, Remus cat back and eventuri intake. My cat was the limiting factor but yours is apparently the better tune with the opf still in. Mine made 362bhp stock. Fancy a race?
Mike Ball knows his tuning better than anyone I have ever met. If you need a tune he’s your man🙌🏻
can he tune my 1050hp stock Tesla?
Who else have you met?

How did you find the manual compared to the zf8.

@@kieranking3150 added a little about the manual in my other comment 👍
how does the 440i compare to the M140i? i am currently considering between the two as well as a 340i f30.

Great video Max. Get that OPF off though 👍
Thanks Carl, that’s the next job 🙌
Impressive 👍🏻
I do miss my 140i
The sweet spot is stock power with one wheel drive 😊❤

Nice video mate have you got a link for the m carbon interior bits ?? Would like those for my m240i
Thanks mate! Unfortunately not I just bought them on eBay
@ ok thanks for the reply looking fwd to the next video perhaps release some of that b58 noise 😊
Thanks! Just recently filmed a comparison between m140i and RS3 which will come soon!
Jokes, love it.

it's the gearbox. it's known to do that and it's normal. the xhp gearbox tune gets rid of that.
@JimmyRS2.2 it has xhp stage 3. I'm wondering if it's traction control being over sensitive and cutting power to prevent wheelspin 🤔

Do the throttle adaption reset

No idea… all I know is that it’s faster than before 😂
@@DrivenPlusno doubt about that man 👍🏻 Did you measure 100-200km/h stock and tuned?
I haven’t unfortunately, it hasn’t been the weather to do it, struggling to put the power down
@@DrivenPlushaha can imagine

Great power for a simple tune. Unfortunate though if you cant put it down it's kind of wasted.
