    I like that this will allow me to use larger 1 1/4 dies on my t7 which will be handy moving forward

    I couldn't justify buying this... On top of that I already have 5 or 6 heads for mine. Still pretty cool I'm sure somebody will think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread but it ain't for me. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

    I do wish that Redding, or Creedmor Sports(or anyone) could offer a 5-6 hole replacement turret with 1.25" diameter threads, not just three. Using something like the Hornady LNL bushing could mean quick changes, each hole outfit with a bushing adapter. This could mean no extra turrets to buy, easy and fast die swaps, etc. $90-100/turret for Redding factory turrets sure adds up when you want to leave dies setup on them...

      This, exactly this. This would be perfect. 👌

      This is as close to that as you may ever find to having a 1.25" Turret but its really not needed, unless your doing extra large calibers like 338 LPM/50bmg. Nobody else is gonna do Hornady LNL system but Hornady. Just as nobody else is gonna do Lee's Breech Lock System but Lee. That is why these companies do these things. Its to keep you "Hooked" into their system. They have a monopoly on that product be it LNL, or Breech lock. With this above system you have a turret head with 3 - 1.25" quick change adaptors here and you could adapt your Hornady LNL into this companies 1.25" turret head adaptors. That is too many adaptors for me though. Yes the Hornady LNL is nice for quick change, but the O-ringed LNL adaptor introduces more slop to the die/ press head when under pressure imho. Why do you think Hornady has to put a big soft O- ring on each one? Why not just use this companies solid steel 7/8 or 1.25" die adaptors instead of the LNL O ringed adaptor? The LNL is Only required on a Hornady press. I started out with a 5 station Hornady LNL and bought all the adaptors myself but as I got into reloading, I realized there are other quick change systems and they are brand specific. Lees doesn't use o-rings and seems more precise for example. But it wont work on anything but Lee presses just Like LNL/Hornady. Even simpler and with less tolerance stacking, is to use No quick change adaptors. Don't get me wrong I still use quick change on pistol calibers, but on precision rifle calibers I do not. I want total precision and accuracy. Its worth buying the extra turret head vs $50.00 of LNL adaptors. Or just screwing in the dies each time locking them down solid with die rings and reloading a hundred rounds or so just for the increased accuracy and precision it gives without adaptors. Like on Dillion and Redding presses just buy an extra turret head, instead of a bunch of LNL adaptors and they are arguably more precise.

    More reloading jewelry. But I'm not sure what problem this solved. I don't own a Redding press, but I assume they build quality presses like their dies. Between the new - and gorgeous - adaptive head and one Triebel die, you have about $650 invested. Wow. Thanks for the forward-looking and cutting-edge reloading, smithing and shooting videos.

    Looks very cool. I would have trouble justifying spending as much as the press for just a fancy head. I'm not sure if the cost-benefit ratio is favorable.

    I have their turret head and I love it. I think it is a great head but I am not using large diameter dies.
    One head and just buy the adapters and switch out is a nice feature.
    With their upgrades it took a great press and made it even better.
    If I didn’t already have their upgraded head I would probably bought this one. Just to avoid having to buy multiple heads. Still might I need three more heads need to do the math.

    Another solution looking for a problem? The Redding press is pretty well made as it is. Unless you are loading for a .50 BMG why would you need larger diameter dies? Rhetorical question of course. Loading tools are expensive as it is and I don't see the need.

    I have thought about upgrading the basic Hornady press that came with my reloading kit many years ago. However, I can't justify it because that old press and my Redding dies produces great ammo.

  • @ToddSchwartz57
    @ToddSchwartz57 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I upgraded my T7 press with the adaptive head. It came with 3 7/8”adaptive wedges. I wanted to order 3 more for another cartridge I reload for. They were out of stock. That was in August. It’s now November and they still aren’t in stock. If you’re going to market something, you should have the stock to back it up. Very frustrating.

    In the old days you had to have a Hollywood turret press to do both sizes of dies on one press. This is a great improvement.

    What about a 4 die system to seat and crim in separate stations? Seems one more slot would have been great for my 38sp or 357Magnum. Cant justify spending the $

    Really cool that you can add some of the larger calibers to a t-7 with just a new head rather than having to buy a whole new press like a Big Boss

    • @PatriotPaulUSA
      @PatriotPaulUSA 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It costs about the same either way .

  • @RimfireAddicted70
    @RimfireAddicted70 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    For the price you should have the choice of what size adapters come included. Having to pay for 3 which you may never use is kind of a waste not only for them to make but you to have laying around adding no value. They have some good engineering ideas but for many this is taking a somewhat mid-range budget press and increasing it's cost dramatically. How long will it take to recoup that cost is a difficult question when time is it's only "solution".

    also doesnt make sense to upgrade a head + fancy 1:1/2 inc dies you can buy regular high quality die sets such as RCBS MATCHMASTER sets. Product useless for most reloaders

      Right now just for the Redding, but if they do the same thing they did with Enhanced Head I am sure they are coming out with it for the Lyman and RCBS.
      You can get the upgrade kits for the Lyman all American right now.

    • @randylahey2242

      it isn't free floated in the forster press, it still has to index against the top of the die holder.

      The Low Friction kit (Upgrade Kit) is available for the Lyman All American and RCBS Turret press.
      Right now they just have the Enhanced heads for the Lyman and RCBS but I am sure they have an Adaptive Head for those presses in the works.
