Santa's Origin Story

A fun and light video on St. Nicholas and how he came to be known as Santa. This video is kid friendly. No spoilers, please!
I followed the account given in Jeremy Seal’s book (see bibliography below), a wonderful account of an incredible story.

Now that I think about it “Santa Claus” does sound Greco-Roman. I thought he was primarily based off of Odin. St. Nickolas sounds like he was a neat guy.

He did not come from Odin, Odin didn't bring presents or ride through the night sky. We got modern santa off of Dutch version of Saint Nick (Sinterklaas).
