Lfc needs more games underneath our belt to be contenders. The midfield has only played together for fewest games in the prem. The biggest test comes with injuries , how they cope will tell us a lot about the team
He makes a point - people say Klopp's high line was risky, but a low defensive line can be equally so as a lapse of judgment can let a striker in with really only the keeper to beat. Knowing this, the fact we've conceded only ONE goal in the last five PL games is insane!
We were good against front footed teams before, so it's nice to see that contuine under Slot. But the open issue is: playing against low block teams. Ok, Forest was just 1 game, but so far we're just as bad there as we always were.
Bournemouth's play reminds me a lot of Klopp's style. The super high press and the way players swarm on loose 2nd balls and turn them into dangerous attacks.
Back in the day a manager wud come and have to rebuild the club, but our old boss really left us in a good position, so its really just getting the best out of are players and we have brilliant players ❤
But what do we do against a low block? Klopp teams had a similar problem with sides who employed this. We were great in a fast break, devastating in fact, but against sides that refused to come out, we sometimes struggled. When there's no space behind an opponents back four to run into......hmmm.
According to Slot Liverpool will have to get better in possession. Luckily for you, Slot is really good at making a team play better in possession. As a Feyenoord fan, I can confirm that Feyenoord went from meh to excellent under Slot in that area. Low defensive line teams became trivial.
@@LordJapos Great to hear from a fan who has seen the change for real. Slot said himself he will teach the team to beat the low block. The man has a solution for everything and we have players who can beat other 1 vs 1. Thanks for letting us have him, we will look after him and back him to the hilt! Good Luck Feyenoord!
@@LordJapos And yet, Southampton parked the bus at Anfield and we didn't have an answer to that. Other clubs will take note of that result and try and frustrate us by playing deep. We'll have to see how we adapt to ultra-defensive teams as the season goes on.
Hey Paneka, I appreciate your analysis and I watch your content frequently! Can we introduce video snippets in future videos? Everyone is talking about too much hype and not getting carried away, 6 games, 5 wins, 1 defeat, 13 scored and 2 against, personally I'm over the moon, doesn't matter who you play against in the prem they are all difficult games, so enjoy the ride and fuck up!
I got a crazy suggestion....it seems we battle against low block teams and we vulnerable to their counterattacks....fact ! What may happen if we switch to low block tactics and lure them opposition into our territory and lull them into a false sense of confidence/security...and then use their own tactics to spring a counterattack upon them ?? Our strikers have a fair amount of ability and with them attacking us...we would have more space to strike them when they out of their defensive comfort zone ?? 🤔 ...would love to hear what you guys think about my crazy idea !! YNWA 😊
Buildup is "extraordinary" against bottom half teams that press us. Yes. That is "extraordinary" with so many caveats. I've yet to see evidence we can buildup just as well against low blocks or against teams in the top half of the table. So much hyperbole with the title.
Bourbenmouth’s hard pressing tactics is perfect for LFC, as they love to exploit the press with long passes to their 3 high speed forwards, or a handful of short and fast passes to counter the press. The issue with LFC is against teams that refuses to press and sit at the back. And that’s exactly what Nottingham forest was doing last week. This exposes their front court’s lack of skills to pass against tight defence, esp Szoboslai, a player that can’t shoot or pass at high quality. I don’t disagree Slot has done a good job so far. But some of the success rests on opponents’ weakness and Liverpool’s legacy strengths (fast counter attack, high press). But to say their build up is “extraordinary” are far away from the truth. I’d say only arsenal and MC would qualify for such compliment as far as buildup from the back.
What i find interesting was that all 3 of our goals against Bournemouth started with a Konate Pass.
The dude is unreal - we do need quality depth at CB but he seems like the next one
Too much hype over Liverpool! I’m a fan but we haven’t been tested much yet. Next 3 prem games will tell us a lot!
So will you say this again after those games?
Right
You forget that liverpool much improve in defend ..
agreed most chealsea, arsenal, man city if we win those then i will be over the moon

Not hype… good progress. We have thrashed Milan at San siro and Man U at Trafford… Impressive
I'm still not getting carried away!
I don't care as long as we win the league. And I have more and more the feeling that we can do that in this system.
@@TheHarryb we won't win it this season.
I think Arsenal or City will do it. I think we will come up short. But, I hope I'm wrong. Time will tell 🙏
@@NazSBG You might be right. But I'm hope you're wrong! :-) YNWA
Me neither...a typical skeptic i am too
try not to get carried away just yet, we just got a new manager who is new to the PL.. lets take it one game at a time…
It’s just beautiful to see 😫

See comment from Feyenoord fan above, low block teams became easy for them under Slot
Tell you what tho I really like Evanilison for Bournemouth he's a pressing monster
Their LB Kerkez was amazing too. Wouldn't mind if we took a look at him.
Arsenal in October, Madrid in November. Those are the true tests. It'd be a great year to chase the title with Rodri out.

Good analysis ! But the 2nd half is risky as we invite Bournemouth to come at us .

It's just a very good start under a new manager ,new system to execute his game plan
We still need to learn to beat low blocks it's been an issue since Klopp.
Mate it's been an issue since Roy Evans.
@@darganx lol need macallister in the 10!!!!!! zubimendi /gravenberch /szbo and jones play in other positions and we're good to go!
It has been tried hard by City against Arsenal too. It sometimes depend on the quality of the team we face
Low blocks are our biggest weakness ...These other team's that can't defend are no threat to Liverpool
So far ...so good ....but its a long season !! YNWA 😊
Looking at brightons best season and the one after that! I am mot getting carried away!!!
Diaz imo is better at buildup than heavy metal football.
If not loss to forest, liverpool will be top by now
Yes, without the losses we would be even better ;)
And if my aunt would have balls it would have been my uncle, but my aunt does not have balls so she is not my uncle. No point to discuss the IFS

The PL season is soooo long, but it looks good for now.

Liverpool 0 N. Forest 1was extraordinary
We are.second by 1 point in EPL. We’ve only dropped 3 points. I’ll take it.

Only a few team in the world will want to ever attack Liverpool that bait won't work 😂, a low block team will never fall for that.
Just not against Forest lol
