On the product description listed as a feature it states, “We've taken the arcade experience to the next level with our newest feature: a slimmer, lighter design that makes this deluxe edition even more irresistible.”
I don’t know if they’re hiring kids straight out of college to market these products but being slimmer and lighter is not a positive thing for arcades. They were already functional and had stability issues before they made them “slimmer and lighter.”

I just hope, and pray A1up isn't going for a new formfactor, in the form of the skimpy looking cabs with the stupid little step hanging off the front. In that formfactor, we're no longer in the 3/4 scale class. More like 60% scale. Nice find, with that topper! Thanks for the video. :)

Hi PhilO and LokiO. AngelO says keep eyes out for the cabs you want, this might be the beginning of the end for the cabinet designs you want... Since ThinkUP is the real designer behind most of the cabinets and they broke up it, it could be something with the designs going forward. Do you have White Castles near you, I miss those too, I am pretty far from Cincy but I do miss the food, Godfathers pizza is another one.

Thanks for confirming my concerns about the “New” Arcade1Up NBA Jam form factor. At 61lbs with joysticks that thing is going to flop around like a fish. It seems you didn’t have to put much pressure on the Casinocade to make it wobble. And man that foot pedal you’re supposed to stand on to keep it in place while you’re playing is just smh. Looks like you knew right away looking at the Casinocade that the new nba jam is not something you’d be interested in. Rumor has it that they repurposed unsold Casinocade pedestal parts to make this arcade inaccurate design. There’s no passion or nostalgia in this new form factor for me.
I’m wondering if Arcade1Up is indeed owing a large debt payment this coming Fall. If that’s the case, where are these sales? Why sit on 4-year old inventory at retail prices? These are priced to sit in stores not be bought. Makes zero sense to me. It’s like they priced these things to stay relevant. What are your thoughts Phil?
Hey Mikey, I thought the exact same thing when I was looking at WOF. Maybe they made a ton of these, very odd to think they just randomly said hey let’s use this design. I don’t think 1up is in as much trouble as others think, but X-men 97, GT deluxe and now this nba jam are clearly made to pay the costs of blitz and mvc2. I think by them not having to really spend anything on these helps because these have been selling and I’m sure jam will appeal to an audience. They can keep these cabs we’re searching for every week at the price forcing us to think we need to buy before they sell out. But they’ll need to give us something new and better soon.

I'm finding plenty of NBA Jams on FB Marketplace of late. I'm thinking I'm going to go that route. I also found a Marvel Super Heroes full size cab...he wants $250 and I think I'm gonna offer $200 since it's been up on Marketplace for 7 weeks

they got way to expensive now for what they are.i know alot of people seem to like pac man but 300$ for packman yeah right. 100 was a hard sale at Walmart years ago.
I agree, but they’re a tad bit better than those first ones we saw at Wally. They get us where it hurts with the nostalgia aspect:)
Funny enough the nba jam im almost positive is lighter than 66lbs , pretty sure ppl said its 61lbs!
I guess we're lucky because even though i think thats the deluxe form factor going forward , all they're going to make is rehashes anyways so we won't have to feel bad.

I'll be upset with the wife if that Wheel goes on a big sale. Just got it yesterday as it was something she wanted. My thought was since it's clear A1UP is swirling down the toilet bowl, online will be all over. Which you need to unlock the other games on Wheel. So I reluctantly pulled the trigger so she'd have time to unlock. So I just preordered my long awaited NCAA Football 25. June 19th baby!

It went on sale 2 weeks ago at spreetail on eBay for $585 sale ended on 6/30, there's is a slightly used one for $555 right now, bought it last week for $585 asked them if I could return it for the used one & they offered me $156 refund!

If A1up goes out of business, I would assume all of the online will disappear. That also means the casinocade will no longer work.😲
I always fear that might happen, I just read a comment from Bones that he bought now to give himself time to unlock the games you have to be online for.
Do you have to authenticate to their servers? The leaderboards I understand, but peer to peer wouldn’t need them to stay open. That’s a big issue. Now I don’t want to buy any more 😂

I got to thinking about the new 2 player NBA Jam and the vision I have in my head is, it looks like a chicken with all it's feathers plucked off. lol What a horrible and ugly designed cabinet. It is for sure going to be an epic fail for Arcade1up. Glad you decided on not getting it. What were they thinking when they came up with that turd? They for sure need some Gen X guys to take over. As our generation know what people want and crave. heh heh
