Hello once again from South Africa. After seeing the review, i bought one, i am an avid Shark fan. Love it, very good helmet, worth every penny spent, Thank you
Have this helmet for a few months now and it is great. Have no problems with it at all. Had drivers coming up to me and commenting on the LED lighting and informing me if they had not noticed the LEDs on the helmet they would have rear ended me. I guess the LEDs are a big safety bonus.
I'm thinking about buying this helmet, read a couple reviews saying after a few uses the LEDs either break, or the battery life is reduced a lot. How long do your lights stay on for after a few months?
Well I have never had a problem with my Skwal 2 Nukem. After almost a year the LED lights still stay on for little over 5 hours straight and many more if in blinking mode. Maybe others have used a different charging plug and it does not charge properly etc or might just be the odd helmet at fault. I have never had a problem with mine though.
I’ve had a Shark S600 for years and it’s been a great helmet at a good price point, and likely even at a higher one. Already pulled the trigger on one of these as a package deal with the Sharktooth setup. Haven’t received it yet but looking at this video, I’m pretty sure it’ll be great. Thanks for the thorough review. 👍🏻
I have a SKWAL2 (Tom Sykes replica). I love it. Not as silent as my Race-r Pro but still a GREAT helmet And the Skwall 2 doesn't come with a double D lock in Europe
Hi Brian, must say your video is very explanatory, own a Shark Skwal 2 led helmet for about a year now and honestly say is a great helmet, fits very well in the size medium, i haven't tried the LED's as when i'm out i just want to ride and completely forget , the only thing i can say is that the helmet is not that quiet , definitely need some ear plugs . Overall is a great helmet. Great video as always.
Hi Brian, quick question. How do you think the helmet will fair up in a hot and humid climate such as India? Is the ventilation system enough? Secondly, I have a SENA 50R, will it be compatible with this helmet?
You should be able to install the Sena in this helmet. As for the venting there are other helmets that vent more. Helmets with a drop down inner shield typically do not vent as well as helmets without that allow for a vent to be placed just above the shield. - Van
FYI for anyone considering this helmet if you use cardo packtalk black...the 45mm JBL speakers don't sit very well in the dugout inside the helmet. I find with my speakers in this helmet it is pushing into my ears once the helmet is on.
Oversize bluetooth speakers are not going to fit very well in most helmets. If you want to use a bluetooth I would stick with the standard sized speakers to preserve the fit and comfort of your helmet. - Van

The left rear led is duller than the right on my skwal 2. It appears the led has been misplaced and pointing more to the left so the led appears duller. Is there any way of getting into the light unit to possibly reorientate the led? I've seen replacement light units for sale but cannot see how to remove them without causing damage. Can anyone help?
I'm not sure why. My head shape is more like Round. I measured and I'm 59cm across. L was quite tight and hard to breath for some reason as I have big cheeks. So I tried XL and it fits a little better. But XL is for 61-62cm but I'm 3 cm smaller but somehow it fits well. What round helmets is there also available out there? if you have any idea. It would help me a lot.
The only purpose built round helmet shape is found with the Arai Quantum X Helmet. Here is a link to them on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/arai-quantum-x-helmets/
The chin vent on mine is kinda flimsy - everytime i check it's closed again. I think it's possible to change it since there are parts available. But i have no idea how to do it. Edit: it's actually really easy. Just pull it out. There are only 3 clips holding it in place.
I do not believe this vent is sold separately. You would need to contact our staff and ask them to reach out to Shark or contact Shark directly. Sorry you are having an issue with the vent. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear hi there Yes, they are (about 6.- online). I found out they also are replaceable with the ones from the first model. I knew the vents where way better on the first one (because i had one) so i went for this. The LEDs look different , but other than that it even fits better (not moving around like the original one did) and works like a charm. Would definitely recommend doing this!
Rechargeable battery: 5,000 recharge cycles, 5 hours of continuous operation, 10 hours while blinking per charge. We did not verify this here in the shop. - Van

Hi guys? I've just ordered the SHARK D-SKWAL 2 - PENXA - BLACK/GREEN/YELLOW does this one have the LEDs as well??
This helmet does not include the LED lights found on some of the other Skwal 2 Helmets. - Van
