I REALLY appreciate how you take the time to show and explain every part of the process. SO helpful. Bravo!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, its nice to see some things i had to spend hours digging around for in a neat video; especially in the constant sea of new ai programs and whatnot
We appreciate the kind words, Krystilla!
Yes, I want a video about how the film industry is going to change in the next 3 years. Thank you!
Thanks! We'll make sure that's on the near future docket! :)
Here's a sneak preview... It isn't going to change.
Welcome back.....wonderfully informative video, many thanks. Please do make the video regarding the ai/movie making/industry in the near future...
Great suggestion! Thanks so much!
I look fwd to the notification (hopefully yt remembers to send it :)@@curiousrefuge
Ready for the holiday contest! Love the work you guys are doing
Thanks! We're excited for all the results :)
I appreciate that this is one of the few Ai news channels that isn't completely ai generated. It's so annoying how impossible it is to connect with the information when it's just an ai generated script voice, images and edit. Your videos are a breath of fresh air in a cold void of AI generated ai news aggregation
We appreciate the kind words and you watching our content. We try to connect with our audience as best we can :)
@curiousrefuge Is this comment AI generated? Most likely
Nice report! Everyday is like Christmas, so amazing everything that is happening.
In this case - Happy holidays! :)
Wonderful video. Congratulations! Well done Curious Refuge. Would be wonderful if you could do a video on your expectations for how the film industry is going to be in the next 2 or 3 years. Thank you! 😃
Great suggestion! We'll find a place to add that in soon!
This is incredible and a tool that is going to completely uproot the Hollywood machine. Time to get to work. Thank you!
great breakdown. cheers!
Yes please, I too would like a video about how the film industry is going to change in the next several years. Thank you!
Thanks for the video! Awesome stuff
Glad you liked it!
There is just so much out there at such a rapid speed... How am I supposed to keep up?? I'm starting to feel so overwhelmed 🤯🤯🤯
It's true - there is so much news coming at us at such a fast rate. One way to keep up is to subscribe and check in with the Curious Social accounts :)
Yes please. I want a video on the presentation made that showcases how AI is gonna impact film-making in coming year. Please make the video.
first time viewer. Subscribed! I can’t wait until later in the day when I have time to browse through your “videos” section of your channel! Looking forward to the Community tab, and your playlist. Thank you for your authoritative and very informative style and presentation! I’m just getting started on my channel, looking forward to applying my new knowledge from you. DeeCeeHawk.
I would also like to see an in-depth "timeline" of what's next in this new era for filmmakers.
Thanks for watching, noted! :)
thank you for this upload
Our pleasure!
Thanks for making this videos
Glad you like them!
Thanks for the content
Our pleasure!
Than you for sharing!
Thanks for watching! :)
This is fantastic
(1:30) That floating bride! Ha!!!
Haha it must be a haunted mansion theme.
Your presentation style captivated me until the very end. Unfortunately, after paying for my three kids' tuition fees, I only have a few dollars left, otherwise, I would have definitely signed up for the course. It certainly looks like amazing content but keep up the good work and the 50 cents joke was awesome!
We appreciate you watching!
dont give your money to this scam artist
The Motion Brush is nice - it's a good start. That fire leaves a lot to be desired at this point, but it's easy to see the direction where this is headed.
Anything that AI struggles at can be fixed if you throw more compute / training time to it. Pretty sure by the end of next year we have video perfected
Very true! Still a while to go but lots of great progress made each month :)
Fascinating and very worthwhile information. Thank you. I especially appreciate the Runway updates. As a side note, I can't believe that anyone would ever willingly try to add that gross teal-and-orange colour grading to, well, anything. Of all colour combinations, that has got to be the most unappealing, and it still amazes me that that it has become the monolithic, go-to approach to colour distortion in an outsize majority of films and TV shows. I long for the days of the full colour spectrum that we used to see in movies.
Thanks so much for the comment and for watching. Runway is definitely constantly at the forefront of this generative tech. Perhaps the full color will come back as a new and updated trend :)
I hope you guys will be happy when AI is creating ‘content’ for the silver screen… Because as exciting as it may seem, that’s a whole lot of soul that’s gonna be lost not to mention the jobs.
I empathize with your point of view - however we believe in a sea of content, it will be the content that humans work to put soul into that will stick out :)
It's not really possible. It only shifts job descriptions, but doesn't actually get rid of them. Let's say I needed to pay for someone to draw in the past. Now, I have to pay someone to know how to use the IA materials to do the drawing. There will still be plenty of work.
So, when you were showing Nicolas Nupert's videos, you had negative prompts on the screen. Were those negative prompts from his text to image, or from his image to video? Can you do negative prompts with image to video?
Yes, those were in the images that he prompted, not the video.
I would truly appreciate your taking the time to spell out a probable timeline of outcomes, plus or minus a few percentiles.
Thank you. Scotty
Totally. I work on a video very soon about the timelines.
I'm surprised you guys haven't mentioned Vision Story yet. It's got issues with style but the motion generation is the best I've seen.
Thanks for the tip - we'll test VisionStory a bit more and consider it in the next vid :)
@@curiousrefuge I reread my comment here and it felt a bit too direct. Sorry about that!
No sweat! We're excited to check it out.
I didn't think it felt too direct. Seemed perfect. @@Shakalakahiki8
You using images in every part of the video is a great idea.
Thank you!
"Ai Filmmaker" lol. Yes, the high talent of entering text strings. Such skill, much wow!
Ideate, Script, Generate x1,000, Inpaint, Edit, Sound Design, SFX and repeate for every different scene. There is quite a bit of work!
@@curiousrefuge Sure, raw grunt work that any person with half a brain can do. It removes all of the raw creativity of the DP or Director and turns it into a homogenized process. Click this button, sell result, profit. Removing the humanity from artwork just makes that artwork pointless. There's no life or soul in it anymore.
@@jstubbles I think you just described the next stage of capitalism.
This video was great! I want to use these tools to create marketing material for my company and its IP. The problem with LLM is that they are not always private; thus, a person's IP is at risk when using these tools. Are there private (non-public) options?
Feel free to check out our course to learn more about how to do this type of stuff :)
Great insights and ideas, Definitely wanna see your take on the future evolution of the film industry , cheers
We can't wait for the future!
Gen-2's biggest competition is Moonvalley's Text to Video. Moonvalley is also free and completely unrestricted allowing full creative extensive testing without any investment. Runway is old news until they offer the creative genius a free pass on their system. If you are not on Moonvalley you have no idea what you are doing.
Agree to disagree - both tools have their use cases :)
Lol yeah let’s listen to @curiousrefuge’s totally trustworthy, unbiased opinion
Yes, please! How the film industry will change. :)
Thanks for watching! Noted :)
In hind sight this reminds me the magic of natural motion endorphin engine that made the world of change in Matrix in the way it animated the way models moved just by describing the intention. This does a similar thing for something way more generic and difficult.
The algorithms learned to juggle with hard mathematical problems like light propagation or fluid dynamics. Can't wait to see what will happen in 2-3 years time.
Great analysis - thanks for watching and commenting !
Interested in bootcamp. Is there a different price for image making and prompts only? I'm a writer/story teller. I'm looking to visualize my series of short stories.
So glad you're interested! We currently only offer one course that covers image prompting, animating, and more. Additional info can be found at curiousrefuge.com :)
讲解的很棒👍
Xie xie!
Thx for greate reviews, It looks like 5 months in AI tech is like 5 years in other sectors.
Yes! It's moving at an insane speed!
OMG! The hardware, I want it.
It's all amazing, right?!
it is @@curiousrefuge ... i need more vram though. My animations are limited to face swapping if I want to keep quality. I need to try the new comfy workflow though, in lowvram, if i can.
What I want to see is an AI text/image to digital mesh tool... can you imagine? You input a text or image and you get a mesh out of it. Hours and hours (or $$$ if you buy them) saved to create a video game.
That would be really cool!
Wow 😮
....wow... :)
I tried to get ChatGPT 4 but it said I was on a waiting list?
I'm brand new to all of this and I am hoping that the GPT4 can help create consistent characters for a movie I'm trying to make about my 5 dogs.
Anything out there already for a consistent character generator for my pack of dogs?
Character consistency is certainly tricky. It comes down to the consistency of your prompts too (and don't forget to use negative prompts!).
The demand for A list celebs and all celebs will diminish in time. AI Films will create characters that do not exist in IRL. People will eventually only care about the stories and characters. Not the “people” who tell the stories and play the characters. Hollywood as it has existed is on its way out.
You might be right! We think this technology will certainly change the industry. However, existing creatives in the film industry can also use these tools to do amazing things.
Hollywood is an insane nepotistic cult full of self obsessed weirdos that are vastly overpaid for their craft. And I work in film. Couldn't happen to a more deserving industry.
@@curiousrefuge Oh definitely. A friend of mine works in the indie film industry and has for years. He and his production company are looking at all the ways they can utilize and adopt AI in your their workflows and processes. I think with Hollywood however there will come a time when paying millions of dollars a film to actors will be obsolete and a thing of the past relinquishing any power and influence the Hollywood elite had on society. Will take time and at the soonest I feel that won’t be until the 2030’s at the latest but it will happen regardless.
I have different prediction. With good branding we will have a lot of new fully virtual ai movie stars with big fan base. And people won't give a f :) Instagram and onlyfans accounts, interviews, live events, chatbots etc
that sketch draw was first brought by may be nvdia
True!
I would be curious about your predictions of the film industry. (1 year and 2-3 years outline)
We just talked about this in one of our Office Hours. We should make a video dedicated to it :)
Is it possible to get access to the Curious Refuge discord channel?
Sure! As part of our course - we offer a link. If you'd like to learn more feel free to email us!
I wish they used Heygen lipsync dubbing on Prey (new Predator film) as the Comanche dubbing doesn't sync with their lips as they're speaking English.
Ahhh that's a fair point!
I'd love to hear how you think the film industry will change over the next several years.
We'd be happy to make an updated video on that :)
Congrats on the amazing work. One thing (I know you probably get this all the time) but are there people behinf this channel or is it all AI? Are you real? Can you prove it? Cheers!
Beep beep boop! Haha yes, we are all real :)
i want to see the topaz integration difference and why or why not one would use it.
Good suggestion!
its pretty impressive , right now it can only create filler shots , but in due time it will get serious
True, there is still a long way to go but we are so excited for it :)
When using ChatGPT4 API, can it use Web browsing?
I believe there are many extensions that are already available to can leverage GPT4 for web browsing.
¿has probado la ensaimada?
No we haven't tried it, what is it?
But who controls everything? I wasn’t able to create an image in GPT-4 DALL-E with a guy smoking a cigarette, because of the guidelines.
I'd recommend Midjourney for most image creation. It's our go-to tool.
Hi, today present stable video diffusion. I need you video instruction.
Thank you for the suggestion! We will consider this!
this we be paired with AR
It'll keep progressing each month :)
I want the video with the presentation
Thanks, Barbara! Noted :)
Me in 2022: It's a good time to become a freelance cinematographer, video demand will only increase!
Me in 2025: I will never financially recover from this
Hahha! This reminds me of Tim Robertson from "I think you should leave" type of skits
Christoph Waltz + Hiroshi Abe.
:) pretty much!
Were you trying to prompt me? haha
SAG-AFTRA member here. Thank you for the inclusivity.
Our pleasure!
Non-think enablers.
Agree to disagree :)
should i learn blender like if its possible in this ai software why not to use time for other stuff
PLS ANSWER ME IT WILL BE SO HELPFUL FOR ME
APPERCIATE YOUR WORK🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Blender is tremendously useful but has a learning curve. I'd suggest looking at Blender tutorials and seeing if it's right for you.
@@curiousrefuge I appreciate it man
But if we can use ai why to learn blender my question is if ai is available for making video why should I learn blender
when will runway increase the video length from4 seconds
It can expend up to 16 seconds now
Yes! You need to keep adding 4 additional seconds (for a total of 16)
Great 50 cents joke!!!
Thank you :)
I hope TH-cam automatic dubbing will be possible to turn off. I can't even imagine how annoying that would be.
I'm sure it will!
Talking chatbots? Watch the Movie "Her", awesome prelude to this, and a great movie!
We love "Her"! Such an interesting film and definitely reminds us of that chatbot
Essentially speaking, the word 'essentially' is essentially used 209 times, essentially.
Yeah... haha. You are essentially right.
Never in a million years would i use a product made by the myspace people
Gotta love MySpace :)
You said your students have found employment. What type of jobs can you get with this?
Many different jobs like prompt engineers, AI-informed editors, concept artists, etc.
We're living in a simulation.
Seems like it, sometimes :)
OMG feeling like an 80 yo
The technology never sleeps :)
Yes, I also want a video about how the film industry is going to change in the next 3 years. Thank you!
Anime in a day
We're getting close!
So much all forward amazingness (except for the OpenChat/Altman fiasco n praying he doesn’t join evil azz Microsoft)! Disappointed in MJs new ‘style’ tools though but hopefully it will get much better so we truly can create our own consistent styles.
we're excited to see how everything continues to evolve month to month!
8:18 bruh that's Putin 😂
Hahah I see what you mean there
Always keep in mind all, no AI output can be copyrighted and rightfully so. AI content parasitises on real creative human labour and so do its users.
Everything is influenced by something. We'll do our best to make sure anything we produce and teach others to produce is ethical while still enabling those to leverage their creative skills :). Thanks for watching!
50 cents lol.
Lol, right?!
I’m wondering this… in just 5 years from now… Will you be able to go onto a certain tool…. Type out a script…. And it will pop out an A list style full length movie? Instead of people filming movies and creating animations…. You just literally create your own in a few seconds? That reality sounds both scary and interesting.
We believe this could definitely be a reality! It's still yet unknown what the quality will look like compared to "hollywood" standards but the ability to do this is getting very close!
this is slightly terrifying
Things are moving at a super fast speed!
So apparently with those caveats in the union agreement, most every actor isn't going to have a job in two years. Slight variations on artifiical duplicates makes them no longer duplicates, so you could use a 96% likeness Samuel L. Jackson and claim that because there is a variance, it's entirely original. clever of the studios to do that, but Hollywood itself is doomed.
I hear what you're saying, I just can't imagine that would actually hold up in court which ultimately will mean more than the contract agreement.
GPT4 is No Longer available
Lots of drama at the OpenAI lately, it should be back very soon :)
bla bla bla Updates are Insane! )
The updates ARE insane :)
Elon Musk’s new language model sounds like a disaster waiting to happen
Interesting perspective!
Kubrick is rolling in his grave
Agree to disagree :). Perhaps Kubrick would be at the forefront of this movement :)
@@curiousrefuge actually thought about that as I was typing and chances are he wouldn't considering the extent he went to when making practical effects
is this guy 60 or 20 I dont understand
LOL the world may never know!
The person who reads my comment. "I wish you good health and endless happiness! Let every day be filled with joy and smiles, and health will be your reliable companion along the way. Take care of yourself and be happy!"❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks, you too!
123 Seconds video generation for 12$ per month 😅, sucks!!
The price tag certainly takes a hit but luckily many of these subscription tools are either getting cheaper with time or are getting much better for the same price. We're so excited for the future :)
so its gonna get to the point where we have ai coming up with the prompts for prompt to video and films will just create themselves and saturate the market and nobody will know what the hell anything is anymore...
That's an interesting take and there will be even more content flooding the internet. However, remember that the best content is content that has human elements like empathy and emotion. Those , regardless of how it's made, will always rise to the top.
AI filmmakers? 🤣🤣🤣 Ok that’s the equivalent of calling symphonic composer a guy whistling random notes, come on…
This tech would be decent for previs though.. especially for previs Artist who actually know what they’re doing, I don’t think it’s that far of a stretch to use this technology as an assistant
Agree to disagree on this take.
Get a Life bruh
Great video BUT I've never heard more butchered Turkish name (Çağlasın) in my life :D you know google can speak right? :)
Thanks for the heads up. We watched a youtube video on how to pronounce it, but still missed the mark.
Why did Meta name their AI Emu when Americans can't pronounce it? it's so annoying.
Real talk... haha how do you pronounce it? Because I'm going to have to say it a lot over the next few months.
@@curiousrefuge "e" "mew". Google has a good example if you Google "Emu pronunciation".
Blockade is not new
Fair point
wow, the power to churn out even more garbage films than ever before, no thanks
We appreciate you taking the time to watch.
looks super fake like a cartoon
It certainly has a long way to go but we're excited for al the improvements that come month-to-month! :)
it's quite disgusting to see channels like yours focused on teaching and showing how "cool" this technology is that has stolen all the artists in the world, to give our skills for free to people who don't have them...
We agree to disagree. But we understand your perspective. Thanks for watching.
Do you guys have a discord?
We do! Our students use it to collaborate, learn, and submit assignments !
