Impressionism originated from artists working in Paris in the 19th century, and the name Impressionism came from the oil painting "Impression: Sunrise" on an exhibition featuring Claude Monet.Artists who pursued impressionism are called impressionists. They wanted to express the impression of objects by portraying nature in the changing colors of light, and capturing the momentary changes in the form.
