I’ve always loved this show; and as I get older, I find I like it even more. Rare indeed! That said, I’ve really come to appreciate Jennifer’s character. She was easy to ignore back in the day as she has what I call “a vulgar beauty” and, of course I preferred Bailey. But then you realize that she had such an excellent understanding of others’ perceptions of her. That she would always be considered a dumb blonde and that her great advantage was that she could always punch above her perceived weight and that arguments generally ended with both sides being better-educated and in an environment where no one, ultimately, was a loser. A real Class Act.
Burt knew lLoni better than both of us but "Jennifer's" hair color, hair style and makeup were too much maintenance for me, even if she would do it herself. Bailey could pretty much roll out of bed looking like that and she played the smarter of them. Bailey.
Ensemble Casts bring so much value and longevity to a series. KRP and "Mad Men" are just two of too few. Just Herb and Les would never be in a series that lasted as long but both got some of the best Lines in the show.
My favorite Les moment was him wanting to experience being a black man, and started freaking out Venus. It's been 40 years and I can still remember the look on Venus' face when Les came into the main office dressed up as a black guy. Good grief, that was funny. Then there was the moment when Les put on that wig to the song of "Hot Blooded" by Foreigner. Oh yeah, I forgot about the tape abound his desk, and insisting everyone knock on his "door" before entering.
That guy Richard Sanders is off the chart. He wrote a few episodes too, like the date with Jennifer, and one where he wanted to go to audition in New York.
Richard Sanders....an uncelebrated genius

My favorite was when a bomber blew up the transmitter tower knocking them off the air and Leses' lead story was that they were off the air.
Hard to believe Les was 38 years old when he started acting on WKRP. I never would’ve guessed that in a million years.
Great stuff loved the character
Favorite quote: Venus: "WKRP. More music and Les Nessman!"
Favorite Les quote: "I looked up the word 'executrix'. It has nothing to do with leather!"
Sounds like you're rounded at the free end.

I enjoyed the scene when Les Nessman mispronounced the name Chi Chi Rodriguez.
and i assume it was a running gag that he always had a bandage somewhere different every episode
It was. The first one was real but he added one to the character and as you remember, it would "move around".
"Chy-Chy Rodri-gwez."
That is all.

@@DaveNarn was that the episode where Herb freaked out when Les told him that her bed wasn’t round, but square like everyone else? 🤣
@@blockmasterscott Yup, one of the best lines in the show, lol!
Bernard from Days of the Tentacle brought me here!
Fever saw a lot of weird stuff over the years ... or thought he had until Nessman.
He’d done so many drugs
the best one was when carlsons son called him obtuse. I just paid $5 to be told I'm round on the free end....
Les didn't report on the 1979 Iranian Revolution because there was a pig that could do simple math.
