Hey! Just for you to know, I'm brazilian and love your videos and tutorials, it helps me a lot! Recently, I made the Lucy blouse in my own measurements, I'm a plus size girl and turns out perfectly, thanks so much for sharing this with us ❤
Your videos are soooo amazing ! I’m a beginner and the only tutorials I can follow are yours !!! Thank you for what you do !!! 🙏greetings from Greece !!!
I love this silhouette! I’m curious if it would be possible to extend the skirt and do this as a midi or maxi… do you think the polyester straps could hold up all that weight though?
the straps could definitely hold the weight and you can easily make this into a midi dress and when making it into a maxi dress I would recommend adding a slit on the side for more leg movement
i made this dress for a school project and all of it fits but it is tighter on my butt and there is a gap or poof of extra fabric on my lower back is there anything i can do to take it in without redoing the elastic? i thought about doing a dart but then id have to cut the elastic
yes, when I made this dress in white before I used a thin cotton lining. I first made the skirt and instead of folding and ironing the top down, I sewed the linen and cotton on the top toegther, then turned it with the good side facing out, then I sewed a top stitch to create a tunnel for the elastic. And then I sandwiched the front linen, then the skirt with the linen facing the front linen, and then the front cotton lining. This way you have the whole skirt lined and all seams are hidden. And then I sewed the whole skirt onto the top like we did at 17:20
I always have to put my setting to 103% and to A4 to get the test square to 1". I don't know why on 100% mine is a smaller square. Maybe one day I'll figure it out.
Hey Ann-Sophie, can't wait to make this beautiful dress ☺. I'm curious how thick the satin band is that you use? Wouldn't want use one that's too thin and have the risk of a snapping band 🤭. Greetings from The Netherlands 🌷

It’s so pretty!!
Instead of these kinds of straps can this also be made with straps made from the fabric?
I'm not her but I think that it totally can work as well
It’s beautiful ❤

I can’t find the beginner guide, could you maybe link it here?
I want the neckline to be higher. is there anything else I need to do besides just cut more fabric on the top?
No that should do it, just add a few more cm of fabric to the neckline :)
How do I find the pattern and how much is it? The dress looks stunning and it will be my first project☺️
Just bought this pattern! What is the width of the polyester cord?
I really love your tutorials, thanks you so much for this! Could you maybe tell us how thick those polyester-straps are? :)
3 mm
0,118 inches
Would it be possible to add a liner for the skirt?

Hi! So excited to make the dress tomorrow. Has anyone got an amazon link (so i can do next day delivery!!) to a good material for the straps?😍
I couldn't share the link but I posted a screenshot of the straps on my Instagram account and saved it in the the highlight called 'fabric' :)

that is strange, are you using the A4 file and prininting it on A4 paper?
@@SewingwithsolanaYes A4 paper and A4 file with an A4 setting. Still comes out smaller. So weird I know.
Is there a welcome? I follow you from Morocco. You work and your work is amazing

Mine is only 1-2mm thick, they are very strong :)
Where are your rings from ?
the thin one is from pdpaola and the other rings my boyfriend made me :)
This is so pretty, how much fabric did you use?? ❤
1.2 meters :)
