I'm a customizer, decidedly not well known and not particularly skilled all things considered (my hands shake so repainting is sometimes a challenge) but here's what I had to learn to remember: Customizing dolls is an art form just like drawing and painting. And every artist who draws, paints, makes digital art or customizes dolls has their own unique style. My style doesn't align with the styles of well known artists like Dollightful or Poppen Atelier, and while I think those artists are brilliant at what they do, I don't want my style to look just like theirs. Your customs, your style, you choose whether those comments apply to your work or not and if not, dismiss them and keep on keeping on. I've genuinely told people who offered unsolicited critique where to shove it more than once. Like you, I have left projects unfinished due to comments on the work in progress photos. And it can be hard as heck to push past the comments that discourage you. But so worth it in the end when your newest custom is standing in place of pride with your collection and you can look at her and say "I made that!"

Side note: I used to hate Liv dolls for some reason cuz in the photos they didn't look good to me for some reason but I found one and I found one at a thrift store and fell in love with her! So now I'm collecting Liv dolls haha!

Omg I adore the mermaid! she was my favorite childhood doll. I can't remember much from my childhood but I exactly remember how I went with her and two G2 ponies into a public pool and played for hours. I sadly don't have my original childhood G2 ponies but I still have my mermaid! sadly I cut her hair shorter. I also found a second one at a fleamarket without her fin, but I just live her sm that I picked her up anyway, I really need to restore both 🥺

I have the Mermaid Fantasy dolls and I wanted to display them sitting down, however I will find some other way to display them. They are favorites of mine and I don't want to ruin them. 🙂. Thank you for warning us about displaying them sitting down. I always wanted the Enchated dolls but I didn't pick them up when they were released (no funds at the time) now they are too expensive to buy. Even the used ones are expensive.

I thought she would make a cool David Bowie custom but will never get around to it so your bonus lol. As far as the RH pop up you made the right choice. I won’t go on for a hour like I could but it was honestly the doll fans that made that event so there will be more. I know you like merch as much as I do so that’s what made me think to send you the bracelet my husband wore LOL 😂 yep it’s used but I figured you wouldn’t mind since you were just displaying it 😝 wish shipping wasn’t so high or I’d send so much more! Next time!
