I'm surprised that the "end point minus start point" version of vectors was considered a "trick." I would have thought that calculating vectors as a difference of two points would have been emphasized very early on, soon after their introduction in a simple 2D Cartesian form, long before getting into 3D or complex vectors.
Please Help! Our middle school Math teacher just up and left, without a word! Did not tell a soul. I have stepped in to teach and searching everywhere to make Math more interesting for the 7th Graders. They think all the typical things about Math, it is boring, I don't need it, on and on. I have spent days, searching for supplemental material to make it more inviting, intriguing, show them it matters and that Math can be fun and it is essential for their lives. Anyone in this group that could help, I would so appreciate it. Thank you!!!!
Eddie..... fun stuff...but I think magnitude of vectors AD and DC....is the only think that equal and not the actual vectors..... so not convinced at all.
@@blossom.0773 I'm not using Ipad but Samsung tablet. Can you please tell me you know any android app like notability? Samsung note app is really good but it doesn't have curser/pointer like Eddie woo used red pointer in this video.

He didnt say at any point that the vectors are equal, just that DC = i*AD

It looks to me like Australian School Maths is harder that A' Level Maths these days.
