This error code has been driving me nuts! Followed your steps and found the loose solders on the PCB board! Soldered them now it works perfectly, saved me a few grand, also replaced the locking mechanism on the washer! Good as new! Thanks mate
I did this repair on Zanussi Lindo 300. Worked a treat as the internal parts were the same. Never soldered in my life before. Bought a solder iron and gave it a go. I redid every solder on the circuit board and now my tumble drier works perfectly. Just shows you…… give it a go, save yourself lots of money! Spent £16 instead of £600! Thankyou so much.
I used this Electrolux Flexcare Condenser 7kg for 4 years. 9 months ago it’s belt broke an repair costed US$150 equivalent, in Hong Kong. 4 days ago the error code EHO appeared and the machine just won’t start. I searched on TH-cam and came across this video and didn’t believe it and my wife ordered a new machine yet to be delivered in 2 days. Preparing for the arrival of the new one, I removed the broken one from above the washer, and got the pc board out. It was perfect and no flaw in the soldering. Since it was to be replaced, there is no harm trying to do anything to it. So I added new solder onto the solder points of this particular relay. I found my low lead solder having difficulty mixing with the original solder at first. That means the original solder could have been of the industrial grade, high lead, high melting point to last a long time. Well the soldering eventually mixed the 2 kinds solder together. The different plugs of cables returned to their proper sockets. And I plug in the power cable and turn the machine on. Woh! The machine worked. Thank you so much. Now I am not going to throw the old machine away. 😅 And I need to find a place to store the new machine. 😢
Previously I watched a video saying I needed to clean the dust and fluff off the pcb but there was nothing to clean off. However, I followed this video and I did find bad solder joints on the relay as this video predicted. I re soldered those joints and it FIXED IT !! Brilliant. Do take lots of photos before unplugging all the connectors.
Same problem with my Electrolux dryer. Followed every step of your video...and now it works fine. Was easier than i expected. So, huge thank you for this perfectly clear video. So helpful. French guy in Spain.
It is very rare I comment on TH-cam but you deserve 1 subscribe from me for excellent and detail job. Follow exactly what you did and it works perfectly.
I just finished fixing my machine, thanks to you it was so easy, it was faulty exactly in those same 2 contacts - i suspect it might have to do with the vibrations of the machine. thanks for saving me a lot of time and a repair that would have cost me a $120 US at least, as technician rates go round here. i wish i could do for you more than just hit the Like button.
Mate, many thanks for this video. The board actually looked fine to my untrained eye but I topped up solder on a few joins around the relay and PRESTO, we're back in town with a working dryer. Appreciate the time and effort you made to produce an excellent tutorial!
My EDC2075GDW was having this error and after following the video it fixed it thank you! A couple things were different for me: First off, my Motherboard has a yellow glue over all the solder joints. Applying new solder would cause it to roll off and I couldn't de solder any of the joints either. So, you have to scrap the yellow stuff off around the solder joint then you can apply fresh solder. Also, the plastic connectors were very stuck. So, I had to use needle nose pliers and a flathead screwdriver to carefully to pull them off. Otherwise, it wasn't too bad make sure to take lots of pictures of the motherboard wires and connectors.
Was abit optimistic if this would work or not as the soldering looked fine, but it's worked and saved me several hundred pounds in buying a new tumble dryer. Thanks 👍
Bloody legend mate has been doing my head in for months. Was the exact same problem as a cold joint on the relay. A bit of solder later works as brand new. Absolute legend thanks again 👍👍
Thank you so much!! You just helped me save a few hundreds dollar from replacing the mainboard. It makes perfect sense to look for cold joints as the relay kept turning the motor on/off for so many years till the joints deteriorated. The machine is working perfectly now!! Thanks a million!!!
I'm using the model EDC2086PDW and I followed the steps exactly and the error disappeared. This video really helped me to save ~$150 USD. Thank you very much.
Thanks so much for a useful video. It was the same issue with my dryer, causing intermittent the EH0 error. Dry/cracked solder joints on the back of the relays. Thankfully I had just enough knowledge and the right tools to fix this in about half an hour.
Thank you very much from California! You just showed how to simply take this dryer apart. I am a technician of over 20 years and truly admire your skills!
This video is very well explained.Step by step . Any child could do the job. I have a Electrolux that looks very similar on the outside (all except the door) , a'd I followed the steps. The relais solder on the motherboard was indeed bad. I'm going to fur that today and let you know soon if it helped. I quite optimistic.....
Much obliged for this tutorial! Thanks to you I have successfully repaired my dryer. Now I hope I can delay the purchase of a new one a few more years.
Thanks, woke up today to find out my dryer went eh0. Looking for this error I found your tutorial. There were two bad solder points. Fixed these and it's running again!
You're AWESOME. 👍😁👍 Thanks so much for taking the time to make the video. The solder was cracked on the same pads as it was in your video. The macro zoom on my phone really helped spot the issue on the board.
Just did this repair myself, the solder pads around the relay were noticeably cracked as were a couple others. 1 min to solder up and the dryer is running again, Thanks!
Thank you very much!!! At start I didn’t saw any cold solder, but from a closer look, you can see a ring inside the soldering. So I just re-resoldered all of the relays, and it just works like new. Excellent video, works perfectly. Mine is branded as AEG, but of course it’s the same.
Hello, this error diplayed everytime you pressed start button ? Or a few minutes or cycles later ? I have this problem since a few weeks and driving me crazy too.
You legend !😃 Just what i was looking for! I had a feeling my dryer didnt have huge failure to it, when it started it workt for a few minutes before showing power failure alarm. The maskine is a AEG but i saw in your video that they were much alike. Short story even shorter, you just saved me a good amount of money, but most important for me i learned somthing new! Thank you so much !😃
I already knew about these dry joints on this relay. No other relays are affected though, although the one right next to the black relay has a habit of burning out. Contacts melt and burst through the casing at the black relay side. It's worth checking for any deformation/rippling on that white relay case.
I found the exact same cold solders for the black Omron relay in my Electrolux tumble dryer. Resoldered and so far it has been working. Doubt if I would have turned in a 10 year machine for service. Hopefully it will run a few years more.. Thanks for the video!
I have just done as per Washy's video and it has solved the EHO intermitent problem that had been driving me crazy for weeks. A toast for you. Cheers...!
Damn but that was easy and as mentioned in other posts the same two dry joints. This problem has been driving me nuts for a over a year so thanks a million. Mine is a Zanussi dryer but only the names change to protect the guilty. They're all the same inside.
Dang, thanks so much for this. Like the other comments, same issue with cold joints, and a bit of solder fixed it all up. What is this - planned obsolescence? Manufacturing defect? In any case, happening outside of warranty this was about to cost me a pretty penny.
This was exactly the fault with our AEG. Failed after 4 years but in warranty so the board was replaced. Started playing up then failed this morning. Different board layout but both contacts on the Omron relay had fractured. Quick re-solder with leaded solder and its now working fine. Thanks
I easy fixed this error thaks this video. Unfortuntely I noticed that tensioner roller is broken. I need your help, do you know what is the easiest way to replace it? Is it enough to unscrew the gray housing on the right to remove the rolle ?
Hi, thanks for the video! mine is working for t hours and then shows this error. sometimes after several minutes. i went over the soldering, but it didn't help, unfortunately. I do see that I missed the black relay solderings so I might take it apart and do it again, but is there a difference observation when the error isn't permanent, but comes and goes?
@@aktugbirinci3361 I actually have an update on this! I took it apart again, and did the soldering on the the black relay as well. And yes ! It works now !
I followed the instructions in the video. It turns out that the malfunction can also appear due to a faulty capacitor. Replacing it solved the same problem for me
I have a problem with a similar dryer. After about 30 minutes the dryer stops and stops working. The cooling fan does not turn on. I did a service test. error code ed3 appeared. both sensors respond to temperature changes, which can be seen with an ohmmeter. hi mate got the same dryer ive got it to work had not fault codes but would stop just after starting. i found the if in unplug the water pump at the back it work ok but will not drain now as there is no pump ive tested the pump it works fine but dryer will not run with it plugged in?????
Hi mate. Have not run into that issue yet but I’ve got a few ideas. There might be a fault with the pump, might be drawing too much power. Another thing to check is use a flat screwdriver replicate the door being closed. For this open the door. You’ll see a flattish hole at the top where the door closes in push the flat screwdriver in there. Press start. Start the dry cycle. When it stops. Turn the drum by hand, if it continues it’s likely a capacitor starting to go
