Truthfully I think the whole crew is irreplaceable, everyone does their part and does it great. Spoon is fantastic at his art aswell as other things, Austin is amazing with the camera, RJ is amazing at being the dad of the business and making sure things get done, Steve is awesome with the graphic design giving us some swagged out merch, and Jimmy is Amazing at…being Jimmy, and being a dope front man!
Brruuuhhh I just watched some donut car build video and I had to change it! The build quality legit pissed me off i had to hop over to the homie no…… pause…. Noo diddy
The worst tragedy today is Jimmy and the crew not at a million followers! By the way Jimmy you got to promise us that you actually drive this car after it's done!
@@jamesstorey5902 he absolutely doesn't. bro has like 20 cars, and lives 20 minutes from his shop. he daily's a truck like everybody else in the states
This is why I say jimmy is literally the top dog in the car content 😂 dude is somehow still down to earth and the verity is here. Yea he’s done a lot of s chassis stuff but this project tops them all
the talent spoon has is just unreal bro!! its so crazy, everything the dude touches is qualityyyyyy freal man has knowledge for 10 lifetimes it seems like
The transmission "mount bar" needs a small gusset on the inside corner, opposite side from the shifter weight, with the "O" logo lasered in 👌. Thing's gunna be SICK!
Absolutely love these kinds of videos. Spoon is a master at what he does and Jimmy does a pretty good job on his own. I aspire to have 1/4 of the talent of these guys for fab work honestly.
Can just use a "roll cage tube connector" for that one motor mount Love this/every Oakes build and always love the down to earth, grassroots team, keep it up!
Idk how jimmy does these videos ina way where it doesn’t feel like he’s flexing on us bro is just too genuine keep giving us the great content jim 💪🏽 and salute to the boys making the dream possible
Love how Jimmy always answers any questions anyone has no matter how beginner or expert level the question is. Steve owns he doesn’t know that much about the technical aspect of builds and it’s so cool how he always is asking questions. Some of those questions are maybe questions beginning car enthusiasts may have but would otherwise have to look up separately.
@@AnthonyPosi no I enjoy any single video jimmy an his crew put out I havnt skipped a vid in years but personally those are my two favorite cars and I feel like people haven’t seen enough of them to really appreciate them lol
The Porsche is a rad project, but maaannn would I have really liked to have seen a walkthrough of how spoon fixed the lower quarter panel rust. I need to do mine and it seems like such a daunting task.
you know what’d be interesting, saving an old car from marketplace like a ls400 with a missfire exhaust leaks etc bring it back to life and then who knows sell it not everything has to be a swap or a build whole shop is filled nothing gets driven anyway but i do really enjoy when they go in depth with repairs and building engines for those who don’t understand
You really appreciate a true fabricator Vs an amateur. Jimmy has picked up alot from spoon and others and it's fantastic to see him do it himself (pushed by spoon I'm sure). Keep at it Jim and nothings in the way!
Gents, you have that subframe supported by poly mounts at the front and rear, as you explained. But then you added poly bushings to the top tranny mount, which is connected DIRECTLY to the subframe that is already supported by bushings. Guys, your going to encourage more tranny movement this way. On the plus side, it will dampen vibs a little more.
There are weld in tubing couplers that could help with the motor mount where the dry sump system is. They are used a lot in road racing and offroad stuff a bunch. May be a little less jank than a pin lol. But, keep killin it, everything you guys do it great.
It looks like you could lean a tiny bit forward on the trans hoop to clear the body. Make the rear tab taller but you will have to mod the upper mount a bit but even a quarter inch may be enough for body clearance.
I’m sure jimmy is aware of this, but spoon is literally an irreplaceable member of the team. He literally can do everything and does it clean af.
with weed he do it better haha

Jimmy that’s your table now, spoon needs a new one😂
“Young takumi”😂😂 Brian’s a legend
The Porsche Engine Swap world is growing like crazy! This thing is going to be crazy loud lol
Mufflers?
@@stoveguy2133 it's such a short run considering how far back that engine sits. Maybe they fit a shorty in there, but no room to cross over etc.

Should do side exits before the rear wheels. Might be able to squeeze a muffler in that way?
@@5IMON5AY5 Yeah that or some U-Bends. I'm sure they can get fancy with it!

They should be at 1 Million plus why they are not is just criminal.
he already has a porsche he doesn't drive. why would this one be any different?
Be interesting to know the percentage of viewers that are subscribed to the ones that aren’t. I feel like it’d be high.
Sure he’s said before he does drive them just the driving car content doesn’t get the views as builds do

Having 10+ cars that don’t get driven or shown on camera is real down to earth huh
So you cant be down to earth if you have 10+ cars, where is the limit 5 and your good @@MT-qu4tk
Is it just me but does it seem like Spoon is losing his passion or he’s bored?
Also, spoon has more talent than most entire automotive TH-cam teams. Dude is the Swiss army knife of Oakes Garage.
the talent spoon has is just unreal bro!! its so crazy, everything the dude touches is qualityyyyyy freal man has knowledge for 10 lifetimes it seems like
the shot of both Spoon and Jimmy welding away at the cars at the same time was sick
The way to the heart of a Puerto Rican fabricator: Coffee, weed, and don’t waste his time.
All of the hardest workers I know 🍃💨

I'm a Porsche guy, but I also LOVE unique engine swaps! 👏
Spoons is a G! Made the body shaping look easy

Stoned Spoon😂😂
Love seeing Jimmy and the Gang! Makes my day 1000x better 💯
14:44 Spoon is the GOAT.
I remember watching Jimmy fab up his own wheel tubs back in the day on the 300zx. This reminds me of those old videos🖤

23:03 jimmy hammering a 'pretty close' bracket ----> cut to spoons literal perfection lololol
Weed and caffeine… spoon, I see you with that 💪🏼🔥 life’s natural fuels 🤌🏼
I’d love to watch a detailed video of how Spoon makes those rocker patch panels so perfect! Great job guys!
Both Spoon and Jimmy fabricating side by side...love that shot Austin.
Johhny seems like a good dude. Hopefully you get to hit him back with some favors some day. Good to have a friend like him.

Spoon is a freaking machine bro
SPOON FOR THE WIN 🏆
Progress!! It’s going pretty good, can’t wait to hear it roar.
Spoooooooon deserves a fab corner - dedicated fixed bench space
Ah perfect timing! I was just looking for a video to watch while eating lunch 🤩
Porsche is going to be so sick when it's done. Might overtake the e36 touring as my favorite.
Insane build Jimmy, proud of you for the metal work! 🙀
I love seeing Jimmy doing so much fab again. ❤❤❤❤❤❤. Spoon worthy . Love those rockers
Love seeing progress on the Maserati-Porsche! The engine looks so damn good in there.
Johnny Pipes saving the day again!
